You are contradicting yourself Sab:
Quote:
What I said wasn't venomous, but it was a judgement. There are two main definitions for the word judgmental, one being a simple judgement based on the observable facts at hand and the second regarding a perceived moral infraction. Claiming that someone needs to "grow up" in their faith is a subjective statement, but when that person claims a special divine connection it becomes a divine judgement.
And these are your words from earlier in the thread:
Quote:
The reason why I say listen to me is because I am taught by the Spirit.
You may want to think about that.
Quote:
There is no separation between person and the divine at that point. People who claim to hear the voice of God are held to a very high accountability.
The voice of CHRIST, Sab. The Holy Spirit.
Not God.
Quote:
If you judge, you will BE judged. You seem to want to throw me in the same pot merely because I judge the judger. You don't have a leg to stand on. You can't hide from judgmental people because you scared of being accused of judging.
Like you said, Sab, there is a difference between making a judgment CALL... and judging (condemning) someone.
(and paul changed his tune pretty fast from that first (really his SECOND) letter to the Corinthians... from judge/shun/discipline... to forgive and love; and he continued in that vein, with the love and forgiveness. Because the first... judgment and discipline was NOT what Christ teaches; but the second, which Paul learned, WAS what Christ teaches. Which does not mean that he did not rebuke when someone did something that is against Christ. Such as when Peter had stayed away from the Gentiles when there were Jewish brothers around.
Quote:
The same goes for my message. I can either come to you with a rod of discipline or I can be loving with a gentle spirit.
As long as you follow the rules of this forum, do as you choose. Step outside those rules and expect that you won't be coming to anyone here at all.
As for your message, I have already rejected it. You do not speak from my Lord, who teaches me true... and you openly admit that you do not speak from Him... so we really have nothing to talk about on that score.
Quote:
I said that Christ never said that all law is founded in loving God and your neighbor as yourself. The Scripture says that all law hangs from those two commandments. What that means is that if you remove the top two laws the rest fall to the ground. Law is founded in cause and effect from observing reality. Love for self, God and neighbor is what binds it all together.
This is what you said:
Quote:
Christ never said all law is based on the love of God and neighbor as self. He said that those two were the most important laws to follow...
Lets examine it shall we?
First, check out the various wordings of this verse on this site, because hang is interspersed with
depend and
based:
http://biblehub.com/matthew/22-40.htmThen compare this verse with what Paul says here:
Galatians 5:14
For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: love your neighbor as yourself.
And Romans 13:10
Love is the fulfillment of the law.
And of course there is the golden rule: do unto others as you would have them do unto you; and this sums up the Law and the Prophets. (matt 7:12)
All the laws are meant to flow from these first two on love, Sab.

no matter how many times you and your lord are demonstrably proven false.
Just one time would probably work, but that has yet to happen.
