Sabastious, if you can say that about this statement... then you have to acknowledge that this is a description of what YOU are doing here. Are you ready to acknowledge something like that about yourself?

What I said wasn't venomous, but it was a judgement. There are two main definitions for the word judgmental, one being a simple judgement based on the observable facts at hand and the second regarding a perceived moral infraction. Claiming that someone needs to "grow up" in their faith is a subjective statement, but when that person claims a special divine connection it becomes a divine judgement. There is no separation between person and the divine at that point. People who claim to hear the voice of God are held to a very high accountability. If you judge, you will BE judged. You seem to want to throw me in the same pot merely because I judge the judger. You don't have a leg to stand on. You can't hide from judgmental people because you scared of being accused of judging.

Paul said to imitate HIM because he was imitating the Lord. Consider what Paul told the congregation of Corinth in his first letter to them:

Quote:
What do you prefer? Shall I come to you with a rod of discipline, or shall I come in love and with a gentle spirit

The congregation could have said, "HEY! Stop being so judgmental! That's not Christ-like!" And they would have been wrong to do so. Paul had identified what needed to be fixed and he was doing the right thing by passing judgement and threatening discipline. The same goes for my message. I can either come to you with a rod of discipline or I can be loving with a gentle spirit.

Quote:
Then why, Sab, did YOU not know that Christ is written to have said that ALL the law and prophets hang off the first two commandments. You said the opposite, yes? So how can you say that you have a more superior understanding than the Lord who told us the truth on the matter?

No, I didn't say the opposite. I said that Christ never said that all law is founded in loving God and your neighbor as yourself. The Scripture says that all law hangs from those two commandments. What that means is that if you remove the top two laws the rest fall to the ground. Law is founded in cause and effect from observing reality. Love for self, God and neighbor is what binds it all together.

Quote:
So... if it is called venomous drizzle in a red bow for Shelby to speak as she did to you; then how is what Sab is doing to everyone else not also called venomous drizzle? Even you have said the same, that you pray for us, and for what you think we are doing wrong. Is it called venomous drizzle when you do it?

The difference is that I can explain my position using logic and reason. Shelby wants to attack the faith of others so that she can build up her own. She doesn't know how to have a faith that doesn't exist off the backs of others.

Quote:
So that is my reasoning.

It's flawed reasoning.

Quote:
In any case, his understanding of scripture was wrong... whereas my Lord has taught me true.

You have had ample opportunity to back up this claim and have failed. It is at this point a matter of acceptance.

Quote:
Doesn't bother me either way. I know who it is that I follow, and HE has NEVER led ME wrong. (caps for emphasis, not anger, lol)

As long as you do the defining that will always be true for you no matter how many times you and your lord are demonstrably proven false. So many people have taken the time to show you the err of your ways and all of them have been explained away by your confirmation bias keeping your "never been wronged" streak going strong... in your head.

You are contradicting yourself Sab:

Quote:

Claiming that someone needs to "grow up" in their faith is a subjective statement, but when that person claims a special divine connection it becomes a divine judgement.

And these are your words from earlier in the thread:

Quote:
The reason why I say listen to me is because I am taught by the Spirit.

You may want to think about that.

Quote:
There is no separation between person and the divine at that point. People who claim to hear the voice of God are held to a very high accountability.

The voice of CHRIST, Sab. The Holy Spirit.

Not God.

Quote:
If you judge, you will BE judged. You seem to want to throw me in the same pot merely because I judge the judger. You don't have a leg to stand on. You can't hide from judgmental people because you scared of being accused of judging.

Like you said, Sab, there is a difference between making a judgment CALL... and judging (condemning) someone.

(and paul changed his tune pretty fast from that first (really his SECOND) letter to the Corinthians... from judge/shun/discipline... to forgive and love; and he continued in that vein, with the love and forgiveness. Because the first... judgment and discipline was NOT what Christ teaches; but the second, which Paul learned, WAS what Christ teaches. Which does not mean that he did not rebuke when someone did something that is against Christ. Such as when Peter had stayed away from the Gentiles when there were Jewish brothers around.

Quote:
The same goes for my message. I can either come to you with a rod of discipline or I can be loving with a gentle spirit.

As long as you follow the rules of this forum, do as you choose. Step outside those rules and expect that you won't be coming to anyone here at all.
As for your message, I have already rejected it. You do not speak from my Lord, who teaches me true... and you openly admit that you do not speak from Him... so we really have nothing to talk about on that score.

Quote:
I said that Christ never said that all law is founded in loving God and your neighbor as yourself. The Scripture says that all law hangs from those two commandments. Love for self, God and neighbor is what binds it all together.

This is what you said:

Quote:
Christ never said all law is based on the love of God and neighbor as self. He said that those two were the most important laws to follow...

Lets examine it shall we?

First, check out the various wordings of this verse on this site, because hang is interspersed with depend and based:

http://biblehub.com/matthew/22-40.htm

Then compare this verse with what Paul says here:

Galatians 5:14

For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: love your neighbor as yourself.

And Romans 13:10

Love is the fulfillment of the law.

And of course there is the golden rule: do unto others as you would have them do unto you; and this sums up the Law and the Prophets. (matt 7:12)

All the laws are meant to flow from these first two on love, Sab.

Quote:
no matter how many times you and your lord are demonstrably proven false.

Just one time would probably work, but that has yet to happen.

Peace,
tammy

It's time you all stopped this pretence that I neither listen nor hear.

You know, I had a lot to say, dear Char (peace to you!), but because I accepted your sincere comments... and offered MINE... I will say nothing more than that I have never made such a pretense. YOU used to say you heard, perhaps differently... and I NEVER took issue with that, nor you with how I hear. Then, you changed it to "praying"... which I tried to share is a ONE-way exchange. I do NOT deny that you pray to Christ; I am sure YOU will say, however, that he doesn't pray to YOU. Yes? Or perhaps I'm wrong there - perhaps Christ prays to you, so that through such prayer you DO have a two-way interchange. Doesn't make sense to ME, that he would pray to you, but... what do I know?

But I am NOT trying to get you to say you don't hear; to the contrary, I just cannot understand why you won't admit you DO... as you once DID... without all of the "in effect, in essence, etc.," qualifiers. You once had no problem admitting such, without feeling the need for the "backup." I can only surmise that you are afraid to openly admit that you hear God OR Christ... regardless of how... without needing to qualify HOW... so that you don't appear foolish before certain folks. So be it, dear one. If you are ashamed to say it "before men," then that's between you and Christ. I do not judge you and my love and wish for peace for you is not diminished. It SADDENS me, yes, and so... as I said, I have been praying for you. I can't stop doing that, though, as that's not your call - it is my Lord's and HE has not told me to stop.

As for ME, I don't care what folks think of me, say about me as to matters related to my relationship with Christ, or how foolish I appear before them. I don't need to "justify" in some form THEY can accept that Christ speaks to me.

So, now, perhaps you and I are at a place where our exchanges should cease entirely, at least for a bit. I do not want to add anymore "salt" to your wounds, truly. And I am growing rather tired of the whole thing, because it has become like a moving target with you (and at least one other poster) - you, because you apparently "forget" what YOU say, and that one because his target is ever-moving. Such that he doesn't even know where it will light.

So, that's it. I will try again to steer clear of you/your comments, unless I am directed/compelled by my Lord to engage. Otherwise, their really just wasted words, at least from me.

Again, peace to you!

Shellama

You are in complete error with this assessment of the differences between 1 Cor and 2 Cor. This is because your source is lying to you.

Consider this nifty chart:

The two letters to the Corinthian church that are found in the Bible are very different, with different tones and focuses

1 Corinthians

    Practical

Focuses on the character of the Corinthian church

Deals with questions on marriage, freedom, spiritual gifts, and order in the church

Paul instructs in matters concerning the church's well-being

Contains advice to help the church combat the pagan influences in the wicked city of Corinth

2 Corinthians

    Personal

Focuses on Paul as he bares his soul and tells of his love for the Corinthian church

Deals with the problem of false teachers, whereby Paul defends his authority and the truth of his message

Paul gives his testimony because he knows that acceptance of his advice is vital to the church's well-being

Contains testimony to help the church combat the havoc caused by false teachers

There is no difference between the city of Corinth and this forum which is constructed by your lord. The same advice is given to you.

Quote:
For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: love your neighbor as yourself.

Love is only natural for the enlightened, Tammy, the Born Again. For the rest it isn't a simple command that can be followed. The written law is required to subsidize the morally bankrupt. Simply put you, and your lord, deny reality.

Quote:
And of course there is the golden rule: do unto others as you would have them do unto you; and this sums up the Law and the Prophets. (matt 7:12)

The golden rule is an ethical palindrome and a literary allusion to Confucianism. The reverse of it reads "What you do not like when done to yourself do not do to others" which is the golden rule of Confucianism. Chew on that a bit (hint: Confucius was a prophet).

Quote:

You were there for many of them. That's precisely why I know that you're ill and in need of healing. I know droves of Jehovah's Witnesses, equally ill, who say the exact same thing about their lord who has also been proven wrong, time after time after TIME! And still they bear their goofy grins and carry about their business of world destruction fulling believing it's some sort of world salvation. They serve the Deceiver who helped write the New World Translation. In their "new world" of darkness the Bible is just a pack of lies. They turn the Bible into a JOKE! The NWT is a preparatory document for a world of eternal regret. It will be remembered as the Book of the Tower of Babel.

In this very thread the abominable work was defended:

Quote:
They didn't contrive the understanding; they simply took one of the primary literations of the word.

They very much DID contrive their rendering of Genesis 1:2. They didn't even try to hide it, it was an open declaration of war on Elohim. They seek to destroy the holy land and you are defending them. Where is your lord as Israel the modern nation is encroached upon by their enemies? This time they will turn the nation into a nuclear crater. The Jews were awarded their homeland only to have turned into a crater? Where is your lord????? The holy one of ISRAEL????? No where.

God remembers his covenants, all of them. The Spirit is with the nation of Israel as we speak. They are defending their homeland and their efforts are blessed.

What on Earth are you talking about dude?
Israel has what Israel wants and whatever comes of if is 100% on them, just as it is with any other nation on Earth.
How many times has Israel gone through their homeland being devastated?
Why?
Leave politics to politicians.
The Geographical nation of Israel has very little to do with the Theocratic Israel.

Because God chose them as his people which put a huge target on their backs. Therefore, each time they strayed from God, he just let the nations play target practice. The thing about discipline is that it has to, at some point, actually stop. Otherwise it's just abusing for the sake of abusing. Turning Israel into a nuclear disaster would in the minds of their enemies prove they are not God's people. That's what this has always been about! Why do you think Nazi Germany targeted them? It was a demonstration against their claim. But they endured and they will continue to endure until all their enemies pass away from exhaustion or simply become friends (I suggest the latter).

You're speaking to an American. Here's our pledge of allegiance:

I agree that God allowed Israel to "pay the price" for staying, as He does with Us ALL.
The politics of modern Israel have NOTHING to do with God or "the promised land".
What do I know of Theocratic Israel?
That it has far LESS to do with the nation of Israel than it ever has.

Why do you consider the information you have on Spiritual Israel is authoritative enough to make that statement?

Dear PSacto (peace to you!): How many times has Israel gone through their homeland being devastated? Why?

I would like to comment, if I may, dear P (peace to you!). Contrary to one response, that it's been "Because God chose them as his people which put a huge target on their backs", it has ALWAYS been due to Israel's own rebellion. They were PROMISED that if they continued to walk "in" HIS Way (meaning, in Christ), the MOST HOLY One of Israel would care for and prosper them, that they would come into their land and NO ONE would take it from them or they from it. That would NOT build houses and someone else occupy and NOT plant vineyards and someone else benefit from the harvest... but that each one would sleep under his OWN vine.

Israel's current situation, although fomented by politics, is the result of their king still being "dead" (in the grave). It is not until they say "BLESSED IS HE THAT COMES IN THE NAME OF JAH" that Jerusalem will be restored to them... the "gap" repaired... and her "house" no longer abandoned.

For now, she a desolate place. Sure, there are people in her... but JAH's SPIRIT (Christ) is not in her. Because it was REMOVED from within her, within the temple that once stood as the visible representation of JAH on earth... and has been placed in the NEW temple, built by the TRUE "Solomon": the NEW Jerusalem, the "Beloved City" which is made up of people... although few at any given time... located everywhere in the earth as well as in the spirit realm ("under the altar"), out of EVERY nation, tribe, tongue, and people, as well as (144,000 from among) the sons of Israel.

She, Jerusalem, will be completely [i]rebuilt, restored, and established on EARTH[/b]... when she "comes down out of heaven, a bride adorned for her husband"... as the "NEW Jerusalem." Matthew 6:10; Revelation 20:9; 21:2

When is this? When, after their resurrection/change... and entry into the spirit realm to be married to her brideGROOM and husband, the HOLY ONE of Israel and Holy Spirit, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH (MischaJah), who is the SON of God... these RETURN to the physical realm, to rule WITH their "husband", Christ.

This is what John saw and set forth in the entire 21st-22nd Chapters of the Revelation, and alluded to at Revelation 5:9, 10 and 7:4-17.

I hope this helps and, again, peace to you!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shellama

When the leaders of the Roman empire read the Torah for the first time they were filled with hate for the People of the Book. It was far superior to anything they could possibly ever produce. When God touches a portion of humanity there is always bitter jealousy. When his People rebelled all God had to do was hand them over to their enemies. They have been disciplined enough, but you seem ready to bring the whip out again.

Israel will be delivered from their enemies:

Quote:
“The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. 27 And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.

The deliverer will TAKE AWAY their sins. Israel has been sacked many times, but now humanity has the technology to scorch the land with nuclear fallout. Iran is at this very moment developing nuclear isotopes. They seek to validate their own religious work and a good way to do that would be to destroy the actual land of Israel. They see Israel as a fabricated government and want it gone for good. They are pressing on the eye of God and you, and your lord, stand by and do nothing. Stand behind me, deceiver.

Quote:
A Man With a Measuring Line

2 Then I looked up, and there before me was a man with a measuring line in his hand. 2 I asked, “Where are you going?”

He answered me, “To measure Jerusalem, to find out how wide and how long it is.”

3 While the angel who was speaking to me was leaving, another angel came to meet him 4 and said to him: “Run, tell that young man, ‘Jerusalem will be a city without walls because of the great number of people and animals in it. 5 And I myself will be a wall of fire around it,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will be its glory within.’

6 “Come! Come! Flee from the land of the north,” declares the Lord, “for I have scattered you to the four winds of heaven,” declares the Lord.

7 “Come, Zion! Escape, you who live in Daughter Babylon!” 8 For this is what the Lord Almighty says: “After the Glorious One has sent me against the nations that have plundered you—for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye— 9 I will surely raise my hand against them so that their slaves will plunder them. Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me.

10 “Shout and be glad, Daughter Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you,” declares the Lord. 11 “Many nations will be joined with the Lord in that day and will become my people. I will live among you and you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you. 12 The Lord will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land and will again choose Jerusalem. 13 Be still before the Lord, all mankind, because he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.”

Sab, didn't you say you weren't going to respond to Shelby's posts anymore?

You might want to remember that you said that and consider doing it, because you are crossing a line in your attacks on the faith of others, just as you did before and were warned about going after one person.

This forum IS for for Christ. It is also for those who HEAR Christ and wish to share WHAT they hear FROM Him. There is an entire section dedicated TO just that. So if you are here to battle THAT, then you are just here to fight against the forum itself, in which case, I don't know anyone who would allow someone into their house for the sole purpose of fighting that house.

You need to think about that.

Peace to you (because I DO wish it for you).

I have, and this what I have concluded:

2 They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God.

It's blindingly apparent who is the Christian here and who are the Pharisees. All who observe should be able to see this. You've even accused me of having an impure spirit (mark 3:30). When you use the actions of Christ as a model, you get the same treatment he did. Christ challenged authority and I challenge your lord's. He gives no meaningful reply and therefore is false.

Quote:

When she touches the apple of God's eye I am compelled to respond. Israel doesn't get the support they deserve. They are a good people and don't deserve to be abandoned by God. They were given back their land in 1948. We should respect that arrangement and see it for what it was. Forgiveness. Israel is in the light and the darkness creeps toward them from outside their borders. I stand with Israel as brothers and an ally. I suggest you all do the same.

I have not.

But you have done this and worse. Through this thread; through any thread that has come down to an argument like this. Just read your words. The things you have said to the people here about their faith, and about their Lord... just from this thread alone. And why? Because they disagree with YOU. No other reason.

Quote:

His replies are truthful, backed by love and by scripture. Things that you have said through this thread are not backed by either. Now you have turned to a completely different issue, trying to twist things around to make it seem as though a member of this forum is against Israel... when THAT member, and all of us who listen to Christ, have repeatedly said that ALL ISRAEL WILL BE SAVED.

So don't even try to go there.

Peace,
tammy
