Hello and welcomed to everyone who has just arrived. As you will see there are a number of moderators and I am included among them. As you may know nothing about me, I will share a little.

A personal God is not something I have experience or come to know, though there are aspects of Jesus teaching that appeal to me. I have some interest in Zen-Buddhism and am examining various spiritual paths, but have not come to any definite conclusion. Having been a Jehovah's Witnesses for the first 30 years of my life, and left, certainty is a luxury I am not able to enjoy.

It is my belief that people should be treated with respect. When they express their beliefs they should be handled in a sensitive way. This includes Jehovah's Witnesses. To me we are all on the same journey, just at different points and none of us can know for sure what we will ultimately end up accepting as truth.

Hope you find people here that you can talk to and share ideas with. Through discussion we are able to expand our knowledge and gain an emotional benefit through sharing and supporting each other.
