FERNANDO SAID

Thank you for the invitation to join the xjwsforChrist forum.

Finally a forum for xjws where expressions of faith and spirituality are welcomed!

Some may remember me as Fernando on JWN.

I am a 3rd generation born-in whose awakening started at the age of 40 at the end of 2005 with a simple question: "Please explain to us what is the gospel in one word".

Since the gospel was designed to lead us away from spiritual captivity or bondage to religion/ists and their organisations, an eventual spiritual divorce was inevitable.

Fortunately our family journeyed together spiritually for 3½ years before walking out for good mid 2009 when the penny suddenly dropped and we saw the incurable blindness of the Watchtower Sanhedrin and Pharisees. We made our exit official at the beginning of 2010.

The process was somewhat chaotic and very traumatic to say the least. Our spiritual growth was however breathtaking as we learnt to hear from God directly with no middlemen for the first time in our lives.

Scores of simple truths took our breath away time after time. Yet we knew we were simply learning spirituality and faith 101 which had been hidden and stolen from us for at least 4 decades by the Watchtower.

At the same time we had to deal with conflicting emotions such as grief over the loss of friends, and anger at the colossal deception of the Watchtower antiChrist and their monumental destructiveness in the lives of their followers.

Looking forward to fine discussions, friendships and fellowship.

Greetings, blessings, love and peace to all

Fernando

As do I.

Welcome Fernando. I'm glad you're here, and that your family followed Christ out together.

Peace to you,

JUSTMOM SAID

Hello fernando

I love your comment "a spiritual divorce was inevitable" . That is so true
as that was given to me when we met with our appeals committee to share.
The spirit directed me to Revelation 18:4 and told me "Get out of her MY PEOPLE, (babylon the great) if you do not want to share with her in her sins and receives her plagues."

For me I understood that to remain inside now... that I confessed my union with Christ, receiving holy spirit, entering the new covenant and partaking of his flesh and blood and allowing HIM to be my fine shephard/master/leader the truth...

It would be spiritual adultery and I could not remain a virgin/bride

and the invitation was for ALL and that I was to share it with my brothers in the kingdom hall/ judicial committee, whether they listened or refrained
was not my concern. They asked! I shared!

Nice to have met you
may you continue in his peace and love
justmom

Hi Fernando, I have a friend who lives in Robina. I know Queensland is a big place but do you live near there? She was never a JW but studied with them and got very hurt when they rejected her.

Hugs,
Velta

and peace to you and yours! Thank you for sharing that experience and link with us! I, too, look forward to discussions. In fact, to start, can you clarify what you mean by:

I'm thinking you mean religious leaders/clergy, etc., but was wondering if Christ was in there?

Thanks and, again, peace to you and yours!

Your servant and a slave of Christ,

SA

Thank you sabastious, tammy, justmom, Velta and Shelby for your welcome and kind words.

justmom, our family shares your sentiments exactly. Our experience was similar. How interesting that the WBTS does not care to know that apostasy is spiritual unfaithfulness, adultery, fornication or prostitution...

Velta, I'll (try to) send a pm shortly.

Shelby, yes spot on, as in John 14:6. Jesus is indeed my mediator. Sorry about my shorthand - I should have clarified.

Greetings, blessings, love and peace to all

Fernando
