Welcome to our new home!!

I think you will find that the use and features are about the same as our old forum (except we don't have all the smilies that we are used to - yet -; but we DO have an edit feature) Mods/admin/and all of you are of course the same.

So you can edit your posts up to 30 minutes after you post. Everything else is about the same. I imagine that we will iron out the kinks over the next week or so, so thank you for all of your patience in bearing with us for that, and also in waiting for our new home to get here

I have a few more threads to bring over, and I will do that throughout the week.

My tip on finding old threads is to NOT use the active thread button. But to search instead by category, and then mark what you want just by posting on it. There might be a way at some point that I can change the author of each post to the original person. I am looking into that. Great if it is possible

My second tip/request would perhaps be to re-introduce yourself... or even carry over your old welcome thread from the previous forum... as I might not have time to do that. But our spanish thread is here, so that none of our lessons would be lost!


So enjoy. Let me know about any bugs. Ask any questions you like.

I think you have to hit board index, and then you can hit active topics. I have not yet found another way for that. And welcome

Also, since I just brought everything over this past week, everything is an active topic,lol. But the ones that we most recently use will be at the top of the list

I LOVE this place (peace to you, all!). We can edit (up to 30 minutes after posting) and the "screen" box is SO big - LOLOLOL! And the board presentation looks "cleaner" and sleeker! AND... it still has that "new car" smell - LOLOLOLOL!

I don't know if it will or not. I am looking into that this week. I can, however, send out an e-mail to every member through the forum before we lose the forum. That way everyone at least gets the memo. But if any of you have invited anyone recently, you might want to consider re-inviting them with the new address.

I really like the sleek look of this place too.

Yes, this is a very cool place for us. I am still finding my way around and making myself at home.

Just wanted to let you all know, that Friday we lost our Lab/ Retriever named " Kaia". Some of you know she has been sick. We put her on steroids a month ago and for a minute she was/seemed so much better. Then Thursday night took a turn for the worse and passed Friday at 12:30. The beautiful thing is my husband, youngest son and I were able to drive back home where she was born and bury her " bones" on our old property. It happened ALL in a perfect setting with thousands of stars out, the creek she loved to swim in rushing in the background while we dug her grave.
Some might not understand that are not fond of animals but ...this was harder to deal with than I thought even though I have been trying to prepare myself since last month with her episode.
So...I am keeping my mind on spiritual things to help ease the pain. Thank you ALL for listening and comforting us this past month. Time DOES heal!!
