It's so good to see this thread active again. I too have failed to update recently but am so grateful for the concern others show, and the threads I read that encourage me so much.

So sorry to hear you've had struggles Tammy, so glad things are better. Zoe, I too have been on a healthy eating schedule with hubby (which was necessary for him) which is working well. He's lost almost 2 stone and I have currently lost over a stone. I do hope it helps you too.

Glad everyone is feeling a little better and so sorry it's been a struggle for some despite the reasons.

We all have our "stuff" and our adversary knows when to hit the hardest. But our Lord has already conquered for us and will carry us when we cannot walk on our own for a minute. Then we always should want him right beside us at all times, LOL at least so we can hang on to him even it is " by a thread".

I love you all everywhere. Thank you for the honesty, support and encouragement.

Just checking in and saying Hi. I have family over, until tomorrow morning. Well, I have an extra pair of teenagers (a literal pair, they're twins, lol) until tomorrow morning. Taking them all lazer tagging in 15 minutes. Usually I play with them, but I may opt out tonight. Not feeling up to all the running, lol (and I can't sit/hide and shoot like some do, I run and zag and duck and cover and shoot, and I am competitive in there!)


So I just wanted to say hi, and wish everyone peace. Hope everyone else is okay!

Just popping onto this thread to say I am thinking of you all and wishing you peace.

Personally I've spent the last few days staying near to my youngest grand babies and visiting with them lots. It's brought me so much joy and I feel such gratitude to our Lord who made it all possible. Living in obedience to His direction regarding LOVE (Romans 12), has brought me here.

Unforgettable times. Hope others here are enjoying similar.

Joy... is a FRUIT of our dear Father's holy spirit, dear Loz (peace to you and dear hubby!). Therefore, to ENjoy... is to be given, covered, in receipt of, having joy... and thus... JAH's SPIRIT. So... ENJOY your dear family/grandchildren. And be okay with being grateful (as you indicate you are, dear, dear lady!)... for being ABLE to ENJOY your loved ones. You are no longer a part of a harlot or her paramours who SAY joy is a good thing... but then ROB their members of virtually EVERY opportunity to have... or DISPLAY... joy.

Back atcha (and peace to you!), dear 'Mom! As I read your comments, a thought came to me: many, if not most, who seek God/Christ, do so because they want a "better" life. Indeed, that is what is held out to us. By "better," however, does that mean THIS life is SO bad... that we want something "better THAN" it... OR could it mean that this one... ummm... is what it is... which COULD be relatively decent, but even at its greatest, is not the life we COULD have that is "[EVEN] better"?

I say that because I [have always] work[ed] with some of the MOST unhappiest people I've ever known. And their beliefs run the gamut: from hard-core "believer" (christian/Jew/Muslim)... to atheist. Just... UNhappy. For WHATever reason.

I have learned, though, through our dear, dear Lord the joy that is the FRUIT of our dear Father's holy spirit. And I have learned that it is not based on what one has, does not have, one's circumstances, or anything that most of us... humans... would attribute [having] joy to. For me, it is based on love... and truth. Both of which are DIRECTLY related knowing the TRUE God, the MOST Holy One of Israel, JAH of Armies ("God IS love")... AND His Son and Christ, our dear Lord, the HOLY One of Israel and Holy Spirit, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH (MischaJah). "I am... the Truth."

If we know love (God)... and Truth (Christ)... we know... and have... LIFE ("I am the... life." "If you've seen me, you've seen the Father"). John 17:3

I state all of this to state, for ALL of you dear ones that, CONTRARY to the teachings of the WTBTS that endeavor to put us in fear and MOURNING... it is entirely OKAY to derive joy from our lives! Indeed, if we truly ARE joined to Christ, then our lives SHOULD be joyful in ALL aspects. Sure, we might have some "bad" days. Or even "tribulation." But none that should deprive us of JOY (save, perhaps a terminal diagnosis/death [of a loved one]. which understandably, would move us to great sorrow.

The thing is, NOT that we can't/shouldn't ENJOY life - we SHOULD. We should NOT, however, FORGET JAH and Christ IN our enjoyment of life... OR forget to thank them for/give THEM the glory for our "blessings." No matter what they are... or how small.

"Blessings... from JAH. THAT is what makes "rich," and HE adds NO pain with it."

Hence, Revelation 3:17.

I hope this is helpful to ANY who are still "afraid"... to be happy. BE HAPPY.Just don't be... UN-faith-FULL.

And yes! Be joyful!

Neither God nor His Son want us to walk around dour faced and afraid and anxious and miserable. (I know that we can be sad and anxious at times, at least when one or more of our loved ones is sick or hurting... though even then we have our Lord to hold onto in order to help us through, even give us the strength to help our loved ones also, and remind us NOT to be anxious over ANYTHING)

But we are here to bring glory to Christ and to God. And are you not happy when your children and loved ones are happy? Does it not bring joy to you when your children are joyful?


Joy[u] is[/u] a fruit of the Spirit. As the Spirit ask of me, doesn't that tell us that joy is a GOOD thing?

Especially, imo, joy in our Lord, and in our God!

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23

Even when your happy,your trained to question whether you should be happy or not..LOL!!..

If we could just remember to give the GLORY... FOR our joy, dear Sher'f (peace to you, my dear, dear friend!).... and be THANKFUL for every (even tiny) PIECE of joy we experience (as many do not and have reason NOT to be joyful)... then, as my dear Lord. the HOLY One of Israel and Holy Spirit, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH (MischaJah) stated:

"I am the TRUE vine and my Father is the GARDENER. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful." []John 15:1. 2[/b]

Eye-ee: when we give PRAISE... HONOR... GLORY... and THANKS... to JAH and Christ... for even the SMALLEST of joys in our lives... we are "PRUNED"... so as to bear MORE joy! Or love... or peace... or faith... or mildness... kindness... goodness... etc.

That is how it WORKS, luv! We attribute our "blessings" to OURSELVES... and we receive only FROM ourselves. And while of us may have a lot to "give," MOST of us are "wanting" (i.e., pretty poor/destitute as to the the fruits of God's spirit). Attribute those blessings to the MOST HOLY One of Israel, JAH of Armies... by means of His SON, the HOLY One of Israel and Holy Spirit, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH (MischaJah)... indeed, KISS the Son... and we receive... so that we can PRODUCE... MORE. Like ANY "seed"... or plant: the more you PRUNE it, the more it produces FRUIT.

A plant... seed... cannot prune ITSELF, though. And so, it OWES the glory for its PRODUCTION... TO the one... gardener... who MAKES it PRODUCTIVE.

Or... it can respond as did the fig tree, when asked by my Lord to produce for him. That "seed" refused. As a result, it was directed to wither and die.

JAH isn't going to MAKE us do anything, luv. Even glorify Him. He will only ask. Whether we respond... and how... is entirely up to us.

Joy... is a fruit... produce... benefit... result... action... of God's holy spirit. A LACK of joy is EVIDENCE of a LACK... of that spirit. FIGHTING joy... or considering it anathema... is fighting against that spirit... and considering that spirit anathema.

We have the joy... of a kingship and priesthood... placed before us. True, "life" might be challenging, even difficult, now. But MY dear Lord is recorded to have said:

"In the world you are having tribulation. Take COURAGE - I have CONQUERED the world."

We CANNOT say we belong to him... and yet, deny that he HAS conquered... FOR us... and that by means of HIM we, TOO, can... and SHALL... conquer (the world).

I hope this helps, truly... you, dear Sher'f... if not perhaps some others.
