Skally, why are you so angry here? I did not see any sarcasm or snark from Shelby in her comments to you. I do see sarcasm from you when you say that her God should tell her what she should say to you.

Why is it okay for you to be harsh and sarcastic but no one else is allowed to voice their opinions when they are different than yours.

I don't know your story but I understand that being spiritually mistreated can do huge harm. I was harmed as a child very badly and it still affects me to this day. I was angry for a few years but then I wasn't healing or helping myself being angry. I was hurting me, not them. I am sorry they hurt you so much that you don't care anymore about JW adult people and their chances to see TTATT. As Shelby said earlier, Ray Franz was once like that elder who came to your door thinking he was right. Yet he saw the light and helped others, he cared. Hate is not going to help you and maybe helping others see the truth might be healing.

zoe, i said, already that i missed it...it has aired a few times and i missed it each time.....this is an updated piece on the case. i saw the piece originally years ago when it first became a story. this program is new though...the hunt.....john walsh did the story years ago on his other show 'most wanted'...

he is shining a spotlight on the case because he is still at-large... a cold case, of you will.

geez shelby, you could have just gone to your voice first, before trying to do it all on your own...you failed, miserably.

next time, perhaps you should consult the voices before you get yourself so involved and end up null and void on the subject.

some how i doubt it though. i think you like the sound of your own voice better though...it's why you chose not to consult the other one. free will and all that stuff.....

Hurt people (try to) hurt (other) people, dear Zoe (peace to you, dear lady!). I get that. I just thought that maybe if we STOP that cycle in some instances, we can help JWs stop hurting people. At least, those amenable to listening. It's one thing to expose the WTBTS; it's another thing to bash them in the face under the guise of "exposing"... something (I don't know what).

Dear Skally has exhibited a LOT of pain while on this site, so I would be foolish to deny it. Or deny her of it. Which I wasn't trying to do, as I'm sure you understand.

Maybe, one day, her "wounds" will heal, enough so she doesn't always respond with snarls. But I understand her snarls. Just wish they weren't always so misplaced/misdirected. But then, my dear Layla once bit me SO hard I saw stars (and for awhile!). She wasn't trying to bit ME, though, but Liyah. And Liyah kinda had it comin' ('cause she had bit Layla first). I just tried to break it up and, well, you know what they say about trying to do THAT - LOLOLOL!

it isn't sarcasm...i really wonder why she opens her mouth at times when it's clear it should remain closed....she knows what she's doing.

i don't handle, deal, treat adult jws the way you all do. i don't see jws the same way some of you do. i have on a completely different pair of glasses. there is no filter on them. i can see right through the jws that i see when looking at them with those glasses firmly in place.

i don't know what type of glasses any one else wears. shaded perhaps. it seems so.

and it isn't anger. it is wrath. let's be crystal clear here.

Particularly the one that says if one wants to BE forgiven, be SHOWN mercy, RELEASED... then one must FORGIVE, SHOW mercy, and RELEASE. Your thread called for commentary on that... and that's what I shared. If you can't receive that, well, no worries - we're about choice, here. But GOODNESS, girl, surely you don't expect to post something like you did and not have ANYONE... ESPECIALLY ME... to NOT try and say, "Hey, maybe that wasn't the BEST approach, dear one?"

I just saw the show The Hunt - Point Blank. It mentions he was a JW Ministerial Servant and how he uses the religion to meet children. He is missing, no one can find him, he liquidated all his assets over 10 years ago and took off. I hope they catch him. He was charged with 16 counts of sexual assault on 4 children. They interviewed the one girl and her parents. Not sure if they are still JW's? There is no blaming the JW Church in this show.

I agree, dear Zoe ( mornin ' and peace to you, dear lady!). It would be like blaming the institution of education... or school... for the pedophiles in it. These folks GO where children... and trusting adults... ARE. The WTBTS is no more equipped to deal with this scourge than the school systems, Boy Scouts, youth programs, colleges, or other religions are.

Now if they're KNOWINGLY HIDING him... that's something else entirely. Since we don't know that yet, even circumstantially, it's wrong to judge. We shouldn't be too surprised if we find out they ARE (KNOWINGLY hiding him) but until we DO, accusing them could be bearing "false witness."

Now, of course, some might not CARE and feel justified in stamping their feet, pointing fingers, and crying "Foul!" but again, hypocrisy has a way of coming around. And NO ONE likes to be FALSE accused. Hence, NO ONE should risk engaging in falsely accusing others.

Not ALL JWs are pedophiles, not all condone pedophilia or those who are pedophiles... and not all, indeed most do NOT, even know it's going on among them. Are they blind? Perhaps so. Are they ASLEEP? Absolutely.
