I think "forumatic" is working weird today, luv (peace to you!). But sure, go! Have fun! You don't need a wacky computer as an excuse - take that baby and go have some FUN, girl! Enjoy him while he still LIKES midways!

Although, he may never grow out of it.*

Peace... and hope you two have fun!

Shellamar, *who spent Sunday at the Cali State Fair in Sac with dear hubby and my grown butt over-30 kids and their friends, so... LOLOLOL!... on her own...

There was something wrong or very slow with this forum earlier today.

Have fun at Klondike Tammy :-)

I'm glad the forum is working better now. Everything on my computer was slow earlier today though, so I figured it was my problem.

We had fun. (I did get a migraine (or maybe that was just a bit too much sun), and am still hurting a bit... then my son got a leg cramp, lol. So we left a bit early, but that is still after 8 hours at the Midway).

Really tired and glad to be home though! There was a rib-fest going on there, and we had supper there. That was very yummy.

Peace,
tammy

Something interesting happened today with my Grandsons. They are up at their summer cottage in Muskoka, Ontario and were walking their little boston terrier dog when a lady stopped to chat with them. She told them her name but they didn't know her.
When they got back to their cottage they told their Mom a nice lady named Goldie Hawn was chatting with them and told them they reminded her of the Little Rascals. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel have a place in Muskoka but I didn't know it was near my sons place. Something for them to remember even though she is older than me their Grandma lol

That IS cool, Zoe.

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell are the only 'celebrity' match that I have ever cared at all about to like, as a couple. (doesn't hurt that Kurt Russell is to me, like I get the sense that Keanu Reeves is to Shelby, lol)

And thanks Shelby. The flesh can't always (almost never) take what the mind/spirit WANTS it to take ; )

I just got back from golfing with hubbie, and two of his co-workers. We are a team for his work golf tournament on Sunday. So that will be fun. This is a busy physical week for me. Work, k-days, golf, a day off, work, work, golf tournament.

So can you go on all the rides at midways when you went with your adult children? I can't do them anymore, but I have always been a thrill ride person.

Peace to you both,
tammy

Oh, no... no, no, no... the Shelbster doesn't do rides, luv (peace!). Not even the tames ones anymore. Both she and daughter almost passed out on the Little Mermaid ride at Dizzyland (were both severely claustrophobic - yeah, I know... what were WE thinking - obviously we weren't! )... and maybe dear 'Mom'll (peace, girlie!) tell ya how I act on the freefall kind: I don't! LOLOL!

I LOVE the (farm/baby animals, exhibits, and "you can (pretty much) only buy it here" stuff, though!

Peace chikkens! !

Wait... did you say "Keanu"??? WHERE??! LOLOLOL!

I did "love" him at one time. Now, just the thought makes me tired.

Peace!

Glad you had fun on the midway, Tec. I've always loved thrill rides - I think I was the queen of roller coasters. No ride had ever been invented what could beat me - except that dern ferris wheel - that beat me. Once, I rode the cliffhanger over and over again, because that was the ride that had no line (chickens!) I'm sure I have brain damage from that. I doubt I could still do them though; for one thing, I wouldn't be able to walk around the park all day without heat exhaustion. Sorry to hear you already can't do them anymore, Tec. I hope our old ladyness is not rubbing off on you. : )

What a cool story, Zoe. I LOVE Goldie and Kurt! Who from our generation did not grow up being in love with Kurt? I'd still have the hots for him, if I could still ....... well, this thread is just sad.

Fun story everyone..

Rides??? I loved them. Would still do the ones that take your stomach just not the jerky on the back and neck ones anymore LOL! I loved them always, just don't have anyone to go with anymore. Guess I should take that as getting older I should use some common sense LOL!

Shelby and rides?? g:) :8O she jumped out at the top of splash mountain at Disneyland. The part right before you go down and take the souvenir picture LOL. I turned around and the log was empty LOL!!! No Shelby in the family photo LOL!!!!! We still laugh about it today. So no rides for that girl.

Kurt and Keanu crushes?? No can do! I have enough hot flashes to last a life time without them LOL!!!

Enjoy your day ladies and gentlemen,
Peace and love to you all, Kim

Am chuckling at the tales of 'rides', I am really hopeless and have been since childhood. I even had to run out of the 3D "Honey I shrunk the kids..." or whatever, at EuroDisney. It absolutely terrified me, so much so that I still don't go to 3D films lol. (Sorry if I've mentioned this before and am repeating myself...)

I'm pleased to say that we are having heatwave over here in the uk, so sunbathing has been the order of the day.

Loz x

LOL, really?

You know, this actually does not surprise me. (that Shelby would just say, 'uh uh, no way', and climb out)

And Ataloa, I totally hear you about the Ferris wheel. I rode it with my little one who is afraid of heights but somehow loves the ferris wheel, and I knew it was just psychological, but I held on to the bar in the middle just to feel grounded, lol. (it was one of those umbrella type ferris wheels, where everyone sits in a circle and no one is even strapped in or held down by a bar)

NOT a fan of the ferris wheel.

The only reason i can't ride the rides anymore is because I get vertigo now. Sucks! But not because I am afraid.

Loz, that is funny about your 3D ride experience too.

Funny stories from all of you today.

Peace to you all,
tammy

Okay, there went my coffee... all over the keyboard, dear At (peace to you and BWAHHHAHAHHAHHAHAH!). I don't like the jerky rides, either, dear Mom (peace, luv!)... and yeah, I TRIED to tell everyone I couldn't ride that ride, dear tec (peace to you, too, chile'!). They wouldn't listen, though, so... I decided to walk down, versus freefall down - LOLOLOL!

VERY funny stories, yes... and sad (that we can't [be in love with] Keanu, Kurt, whoever, anymore, yes! Well, sort of... LOLOLOL!). Aging sucks, in some ways (don't let us old ladies rub off on you, dear tec! RIDE them rides while you still can, girl!). In other ways (mentally/emotionally/spiritually), though, I LOVE it! Wouldn't change it for the WORLD.

GLAD to see everyone's in relatively good spirits today!

Peace to you ALL!

Shellamar, on her own...
