Good Morning everyone and Happy Sunday!!

We spent yesterday all day the first day of summer outside on the back deck. We had a nice fire in our firepit last night and stayed out until midnight talking and enjoying the evening. There was a huge fireworks display (noisy) around 10 PM across the lake from us at the Curve Lake Indian Reserve, then all was quiet again. I guess they were celebrating the summer solstice or something. The stars were out and we enjoyed watching the heavenly display. Fireflies were going crazy last night too.

Here is the fire before it got dark out

Hope you had a happy anniversary, Tammy.

Zoe, it sounds like you had a great night; we tried sitting on the porch for a while, but it was too muggy here to be pleasant, and the mosquitoes almost carried us off, but I did see a few fireflies, and watch the hummers.

Good morning everyone...

Zoe, where are the marshmallows? LOL....

We used to love doing this in our backyard with ours boys, a few times we pitched a tent and stayed in it with them. It was a camping trip without leaving the house...or the kitchen...or the bathroom...LOLOL!!!!

Mosquitos were always the party spoiler as they would eat us alive if we didn't spray from head to toe.

Enjoy your weekend everyone, weather is beautiful here as well. Hubby is working on a outdoor project so I'm gonna do my own thing today.

Love and Peace to you all, Kim :D

Thank you for all the anniversary wishes. It was our 16th anniversary yesterday, Shirley. Although we have been together for 19 years, since I was 19.

Sitting outside with a firepit sounds lovely, Zoe... AND... you got a free fireworks display. Bonus ; )

We have mosquitoes here too but we use those Thermacell lanterns and the mosquitoes don't come near us when they are turned on. They are a great invention.

GREAT grass, dear Zoe! A LOVELY green (my favorite color!)

Peace to you all!

Shellamar, on her own... dredding the coming fireworks due to how they make the pups react (nervous wrecks, all, so I have to drug them)... and now we have four - I'm hoping the other three don't influence the new baby - 2 months old, 2.8 pounds (we weighed her at the pet store), female tea cup chihuahua named "Lilly." "Tiger Lilly" actually... but she's pretty feisty and the sundry ones going off now don't seem to bother her as they do the others. She's actually a bit of a firecracker herself - VERY friendly, VERY brave... all OVER the place and FAST... and actually scaring the others! She wants to play and they're like, "Wait, wha... what the... where did THAT come from and when are you taking it BACK!??" I do hope she can handle the neighborhood festivities on the 4th, though, 'cause I haven't a CLUE how to drug HER, she's so tiny...

Oh, oops, sorry... another one of my tangents. Prolly should go to sleep now. Since I'm already in the bed and all, I mean...

Peace!

The tiger lilly is my favorite lilly (although I think these days I love most all of them). But I had the tiger lilly as the flowers at my wedding. So... yeah... great job whoever named your newest pup ; )

I love puppies, she must be so cute. You really should put up pics if you're gonna talk about her you know. I think its a rule or something. Right?

Peace, and thanks to you to Anomos!

Oooh! Sorry for the HUMONGOUS pics! (Yikes... and peace to you all!).

Hokay, here go the baby. I included dear Hubby's hands and my keyboard so's you get a sense of her size:

http://i885.photobucket.com/albums/ac60 ... 4d5336.jpg

http://i885.photobucket.com/albums/ac60 ... 7a55b2.jpg

She is FEISTY! Ain't scared of the older dogs at ALL ('cept when they growl at her... which we are dealing with - ain't havin' it!). She has not only learned how to go up and down the stairs (she was terrified the first day, 2 days ago)... but now she FLIES UP AND DOWN them! Right behind the pack! LOLOL!

She growls and barks at them, TRYING to get them to play. Unfortunately, they're all being sourpusses right now. I need to Google how to get them to cut it out. Layla should know better because she experienced the same thing when SHE came and didn't like it one bit. Unfortunately, the Queen B, Liyah, dictates all of their behavior... and sweet as SHE is, she can be a biATCH when it comes to other dogs. She HATES them ('cept Louie, who she coolly tolerates).

She was a barker until about a week ago. We put one of those vibrating things on her neck for, like, 3 hours... and she barely barks now. Thing is, the other two no longer bark, EITHER, and they USED to, especially when SHE did! So, THAT part's great! LOLOL!

Ah, me...

Anyway, this is the closest I get to grandkids right now (excluding dear Hubby's grandchildren, but they all live 800 to 3,000 miles away so we don't see them much)... so be careful when you ask me for pics of da puppies! Cuz I WILL bust some out on ya! LOLOL!

Peace!

Shellamar, on her own... with a scrap of a puppy sleeping in her lap as she posts this...
