And Happy Mother's Day to everyone as well......

Enjoy your day!

I for one have to work this Mother's Day! It is a very busy restaurant day. Tammy, do you have to work as well?

Love and peace Kim

I do, yes. Also very busy day here. I could have booked it off if I had thought ahead (like months ahead, lol), but I don't tend to think ahead about things like mother's day.

Happy Mother's day to all the moms out there as well, from me!

Peace to you!

Oooh! GLAD to hear you dear ones are getting some nice weather for a change, dear Zoe (mornin' and peace to you... and to you ALL!). Last night was almost "hellish" in terms of temps here. I could handle it (the house stays cool downstairs, where we sleep when it gets really hot) but two pups (Louie/Liyah) couldn't and so walked the floors ALL night. Meaning, I didn't actually get to GO to sleep until around 2:45am (of course, dear hubby slept through - he can sleep through ANYTHING, I so envy him that skill! LOLOL!). I'm okay, right now, but anticipate

I LOVE hot weather, though. I was raised in San Diego (70s-80s almost all year 'round) and raised my kids in Sacramento (where temps regularly top 90-100 during the summer)... and so the "cool" SF Bay Area weather often undoes me (cloud cover brings my mood down - I like bright "jigsaw puzzle" blue sky!).

More high temps on the way! WHOOO-HOOOOOO... and thank gawd for folks like Philip Diehl, Dr. Schulyer Wheeler, William Carrier, Frederick Jones, etc., inventors of electrical fans, electrical motors, air conditioners, etc. - LOLOLOL!

Peace... and CHILL!

Shellamar, on her own...

Good morning!

I have been SO sick (who gets the flu in the summer, seriously? Maybe just flu-like symptoms?) but am finally feeling human again today. Not a lot of energy, but I can breathe through my nose again (bonus!), and I am clear headed enough to think again. I think.

Hope everyone else is okay!

Peace to you,
your servant, and sister, and a slave of Christ,
tammy

I'm with you Tec, suffering thru my first cold since 2006 so of course it's kicking my AZZZZZZ. My tonsils were so swollen and painful was thinking about going to the ER the other night, so swollen it actually felt like they were down in my food pipe or something and everytime I swallowed felt like I was trying to swallow something stuck in my throat. Got up and looked on the web, read about coconut oil good for tonsillitis, so I gargled with some a few times that night, believe it or not that choking symptom went away!! Used to do daily oil pulling, but I started back the other day with that plus the gargling.

Summer is here at last!!

I hope everyone is well and enjoying life. So sorry you were sick Tammy. Glad you are feeling better.

Me, I am still not very well. Not sure I will be on this earth much longer if this keeps up.

Thanks Kim!

Shirley, that is interesting about the coconut oil. I almost went to the clinic a couple blocks away, because my throat just felt like it was on fire, but I was too tired, lol... so I kept giving it one more day to get better, and well, it did ; ) Usually though, I go and get antibiotics for anything to do with the throat. Then a day or two later everything is good again, pain/sickness forgotten.

Zoe, I am so sorry to hear that you are so ill! Is there anything that can be done to help, anything I (or anyone here, I am sure) can do for you?

Peace again to all of you, and strength to all of you who are sick,
your servant, and sister, and a slave of Christ,
tammy

YES,
I have heard of the benefits of coconut oil with many things. It is a necessity in our house. Cooking, as body lotion, gargling, almost anything. /:)

Zoe, anything new going on or is your condition just worsening? Let us know if there is anything we can do for you.
May you be comforted by our Lord and given his peace to endure this awful flesh we have,
Your sister and fellow servant of CHRIST, Kim :D

(Tec, Zoe, Shirley) hope you girls feel better. I heard about the coconut oil from Daniel, my favorite from 6 screens, how young he looks from using it. So I used it a while, and I still look like an old hag. Hmmpf!

Nothing new going on with me other than my mobility is worse and I can barely move. I am afraid all this lack of motion will kill me soon. I never go anywhere except maybe 1 time a week and that is a huge effort. I signed up for physiotherapy but the therapist treats me like I am a bother and 3 years old and in the appointments I end up in tears feeling so bad about myself. Now I don't want to go there because she makes me feel bad about myself and like I am weird to be so stiff and immobile.

Zoe, I'm sorry you feel that way. They shouldn't make you feel like this as your condition is not your fault. Are there some videos on TV like yoga or other chair therapy classes you can do at home to help some of the mobility first? Then continue with the outside help?
Just askin, to help start off the days whenever you do to help some so depression doesn't set in too bad.

Love Kim

I'm sorry too, Zoe. That is just stupid! It is one thing to encourage someone to do more... and another thing entirely to make someone feel so bad about themselves that they never want to come back. Again, and I know it is hard, you are going to have to advocate for yourself. (or maybe ask John to do it) Tell the therapist (or group) how you feel, and ask for someone else who wants to help you, instead of discourage you.

Peace,
tammy
