elders seemed to be out
shopping
or out
visiting friends and family
or out
enjoying the lake or the park
so
there i was out in field service alone most times
while the elders somehow
"got their hours in"

and when i looked closely at
where
they got their hours in
it was mainly safe stuff like return visits
and studies with other Witness' children
and counting time during very long coffee breaks,
they seemed to rarely knock on doors
while i was out alone doing grunt work
knocking on lots of doors and doing approach work on the street

i mean
who does approach work
unless you've got
guts?
i'm a damned introvert,
uber introvert
yet forced myself out there anyways

perhaps then
a person could simply write
"10 hours" on their monthly report
and not go to a single door

i know lots of elders that
did
just
so

now this matter of making the nations "know that I am Jehovah"

if an angel kicked the door into a house
brandishing his flaming sword
would it matter that the person within
was in full Baal priest suit and tie
but saying "i'm actually a quiet supporter of Jehovah"

after all, Schindler was a card-carrying member of the Nazi regime
but was a good guy for quietly saving Jews
and risked his very life for doing so
"whoever saves one man
saves the world entire"

have you been quietly saving Jews?
or just quietly saving your own skin?

get your friends and family out
the very ones you don't want to leave behind

when you see a hint of rebellion in any of them
especially the young
feed it quietly
until it becomes engulfed in flames

There is bigger danger here than perhaps some are missing (peace to you, all!). And that is the hypocrisy. I realize that some don't like that word... or its use... but denying it won't negate it, make it go away... or relieve anyone engaging in it from being judged BY it. It is "leaven" to participate in the conduct of an organization that goes door to door attempting to convince others to leave THEIR false religion... while excusing one's own association with one. Whether one speaks literally, or simply stands by, if one is TOUCHING the "unclean" thing, one is unclean by MEANS of such touching.

Am I judging ANYONE by stating this? No. Just stating the truth. Whether folks want to hear... or refrain. It is not my job to care if they can RECEIVE truth; it is only my job to SHARE the truth. Not trying to offend, hurt anyone's feelings, call anyone out, etc. AM trying to maybe help some see that the excuses don't really fly with the MOST HOLY One of Israel, JAH of Armies... and so with His Son, the HOLY One of Israel and Holy Spirit, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH (MischaJah). Sure, Peter denied my Lord... but he did so out of fear for his life. In which case, such fear is understandable... but even then, only to a point. Because if fear of LIFE only goes so far... fear of losing... what, other THAN life... will travel even less.

Is my purpose here to say what ANYONE... MUST... do? No. To judge anyone? Again, no. It is NOT my concern what ANYONE does, as to his/her own master each one must stand or fall. My only purpose is to perhaps help whoever needs to SEE what it is they are TRULY doing... versus what they... and others... may be convincing themselves they are doing... so that they can't say they DIDN'T know ("Lord, Lord... WHEN did we...?").

Once one KNOWS one is doing, though, ignorance will no longer be an excuse. The truth, though, is that in many cases, ignorance will never be an excuse.

literally every day after work,
came home tired and groggy,

lol. I have not watched any of them in such a long time; it would be fun to do that again soon.

Everyone has made very good and truthful points; I don't see anyone disagreeing at all. LQ knows what he has to do; I'm sure he's only trying to prepare his heart as best he can. Now I know some of you men (ahem, Paul) like to get your spanking, but it kinda seemed like y'all were beating the **** out of him. lol!

I know this is a very serious matter, and now that I've read back over the posts, it is probably more serious than I realized; time may be of the essence and I would not want anything to stand in the way of the Lord's admonition to those he loves.

I don't understand the "close the door, quitely" part. Did you mean "quietly"? Even that, I'm not sure I get what you're saying there. "Answer it" I get. "Close the door" I get. Not sure if there was some extra meaning in that last word.

Leaving... I suspect that was a play on your name. Since there is a comma between door and quitely (quietly). Plus, sometimes doors are best closed when closed quietly, but firmly. (I might be adding meaning in that, lol)

Wheels, I liked your dud comparison. Thought that was quite clever.

(Unfortunately, just going by appearances, a dud doesn't necessarily look like a dud, and so a dud gives its 'manufacturer' the appearance of strength/authority/power)

Do you think the gb or whoever's running the show really doesn't know all the things the publishers do to waste time and cheat on their hours? I suppose they wouldn't care anyway, as long as they're getting their money for the literature. But now I'm wondering if they've received letters about this.
