Love you all!

Just wanted to say so. I have been a bit of a mess lately (no big deal, just can't seem to get over this virus, me and my son both). But I'm still here, thinking of you all.

May you and your loved ones have peace, as my Lord gives peace,
your servant and sister, and a (working on it) slave of Christ,
tammy

Awww, love you too Tams. And you all as well.

Sweet post. So sorry you and your boy are still under the weather. It's the same here on this side. Everyday I have to help cover someone sick at work. My hubby's been battling this for 3 weeks. I am fighting it. Feeling puny today but it has not come " full blown" yet. I'm overdosing on VitC and sleeping extra.

Saw sunshine yesterday for the first time in about weeks. Gloom and gloomy.....
But precipitation has definitely hit California. The mountains are buried in snow. Yaaayyy for them. I'll take the rain!!!

All is well here. Hope everyone else is hanging in there with " life".

Love and peace to you all, your fellow sister and servant of Christ, Kim

P.s.....who is learning every single day how greatful and blessed I am that our Lord Jaheshua loves us. Been feeling and saying, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You a lot these days and Praises and more praises.
Enjoy your weekend ya'll....

Glad to hear. It's got a long way to go to recover from the drought though. Here's hoping.

Huge smile... what wonderful comments, dear Tams (the GREATEST of love and peace to you, our dear, dear sister!)

Isn't it something (peace to you ALL... and to your dear, dear households!) that a tiny little gollymoffrey of exJWs who, for the most part have never met face to face, can actually say they love one another... that such be TRUE... and that there is no religion or "church" compelling it but only the genuine love they've learned from Christ? Not sure there are words to describe.

For ME, loving, openly saying so, etc., was either solely for people I knew literally (i.e., those in my Congo... and a few "worldly" family/friends - but not TOO much love for THEM - LOLOL!), or other JWs because, well, they were JWs; I was SUPPOSED to "love" them.

But as I can tell from dear Tam's words her love is true and it is because it's based on knowing you dear ones... us... through our interchanges. Years of interchanges. Of sharing what's IN us... our respective TRUTH... with one another. Great, good, not so good, bad, whatever. Maybe not infinitely deep details, but enough so that we actually kind of even know each other's "voices."

And I don't mean the sound we make when we open our mouths but the voice of our SPIRITS. Even if we can't hear the words with our ears of flesh; we can hear them, the voice of them, when we READ them. We "hear" one another "speak"... and so when we have opportunity to hear one another's voices... and speech... with our EARS (of flesh), we're not surprised at what we hear. Because we KNOW those "voices", indeed SO well... that we can actually pick up and continue a discussion started HERE and not miss a beat! After complimentary hellos, hugs, handshakes... hugs... kisses... tears... "how do you do's, etc., of course - LOLOL! But we can say with HONESTY, "I know you!" As in, "We really have already met (just not in the flesh)" and so not just "I feel AS IF I know you."

Which is how it works with Christ. True, we aren't able to Internet blog with him, but we DO have a lot of HIS words written... with which we can have a START at "hearing" HIS voice... and so know HIS spirit. So that when he DOES speak... literally... we can know by what he SAYS... that it is HIM speaking to us (and not another or we ourselves).

I share dear Tammy's sentiment. I love you all VERY much. You are DEAR to us. Very much so. I love being in your company, "speaking" with you... "listening" to you. I rejoice with you and my heart breaks with yours. And you are all in my prayers. You and your households.

Anyway, had to "say" all of that. Blame dear Tammy... because HER loved moved me - LOLOL! That whole "out of the heart's abundance" for both of us, I'm sure!

Peace to you all... and may JAH, through Christ, bless you and your dear households!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shel

Ooh I really like all of that ^^^ those posts. Yes, I love you all and feel that I 'know' you all so well.

Similarly, I've had a nasty dose of flu and am still battling the residue. Old age doesn't come alone!

I send my love to you all and my wish for your peace (as Christ wishes it)

Take care brothers & sisters in our Lord

Loz x

Good morning everyone and peace to you all,

You all have been on my mind and in my heart. I hope everyone is doing well. Just wanted to tell you that my love and prayers are with you all and your households.

I have been a little extra busy these days. Added a new family fur baby. Her name is Nahla. She is a Sheba Inu/ chihuahua mix and she is precious. Fisty little thing. Probably about 5 pounds now. But our older pup Ollie has accepted her into the family and they play together constantly. It has been so good for him to have a companion.

I started a spring class, and with work it's been pretty busy for me. But the days are slowly getting longer which I love and with a break in the rain, I can get outside more. I have been a cave dweller LOL this winter because with all the cold and rain and body aches I have just wanted to curl up in my sweats in bed and hibernate.

But all is good....in my hood.....:))

May the peace and spirit of our Lord Jaheshua continue to be upon you and your households forever,
Your sister and fellow servant of our Lord, Kim

Thank you, Justmom. It's good to know the board has not been forgotten; sometimes I wonder if it will just fade away, with most people being so busy right now. But even if that happens, I will not forget any of you, and the fun we had in learning and sharing things about our Lord. May His peace be with you and your households.

Peace to you both (and to you all)!

I just want to reassure everyone that there are definitely no plans for this board to end, or to be forgotten. I am here every day; even though I have not commented much. I have been bearing witness to Christ on another forum, and speaking to a JW on that forum (and after I put a link up to this forum, we got a good dose of traffic). Also have been talking with someone at work about Christ and faith and God, and others listen in sometimes as well.

I have to actually go to work now, but I just wanted to reassure anyone who needed to hear it, that I, too, am here everyday, and check in every day, and have not forgotten about this forum or any of you. You are in my thoughts, and my heart, and my prayers - you and your loved ones as well.

Peace and love to you all, and to your loved ones,
your sister and servant, and fellow slave of Christ,
tammy

Thank you Tammy, peace to you sister.

Yes, I too check most everyday and in our daily lives, at work, and with immediate family, we can be used to share our Lord either through sharing with our mouths or our example without even a word!

May our Lord grant you the continued strength and peace to bring glory and honor to Jah and His son!

And to you all here as well, your sister in Christ Kim

Greetings and peace to you all!

I echo dear Tammy's (peace to you, luv!) comments: board is not going anywhere (at least as far as I know), and I visit every single day. I don't/can't stay logged on as dear Tams and our dear Sher'f (peace to you as well, dear OUTLAW!) do - I'm at work and/or the board logs me off after awhile anyway. But I check in probably every 10-30 minutes during the week.

Weekends I try to give to dear hubby, pups, kids, projects, house, etc. This weekend it was the yard (we term'd yet another gardener - the 5th in 12 years - last December). Due to how well he used to do our yard, he'd picked up at least 4 other accounts on our corner - as a result, our yard suffered greatly, which bugged me because one, we paid his asking fee plus any extra PLUS bought all new hoses, replaced spigots, etc., whenever he said they were needed AND paid him a full extra month for the 2013 and 2014 holiday bonus...).

Anyway, we bought a mower, pulled out the rakes, clippers, nippers, hedgers, weeders, and hoes... and had a go. And we did a really good job! Still have weeds to pull but the place looks GREAT! BUT... I am now very tired and a bit sore.

Back to the current topic...

There are two things that come to MY mind regarding the board lulls. Well, more than two, actually. The first is the reminder to try not panic over the "quiet," but instead try to "chew" on any "manna" already provided, TRUSTING (i.e., exercisin FAITH in) our dear Lord that more WILL come, that we are left bereaved.

Second, is that sometimes I feel, by the "silence" that perhaps I've worn MY welcome thin... having overshared or shared something that might be hard for others to take. Given that I an the foremost (and most prolific) sharer here, sometimes I think perhaps I SHOULD be silent and lessen MY "noise" - get out of the way, in a way.

Add to that I'm working full-time in a bit more physical job (which I LOVE!)... but I'm also older, menopausal, diabetic, and so sometimes insomniac... and thus sometimes just a bit more tired. And so, I have to take some time and do nothing.

But... I'm here. Every day. In and out... but here.

And thinking of and wishing you ALL the greatest of love and peace.

Peace to you and to your dear households!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shel, who's gonna go (try to) sleep now...

Greetings and peace to you dear, dear folks!

NOT that anyone cares/is interested, but just in case anyone was curious... LOLOLOL!

Been out of the country for about a week (kids took me to Dominican Republic - LOVELY!), but as is usual with me... I fell ill on my return (ARGGHHHHH!!!). Inner ear infection (which, OMG, was PAINFUL!)... which then included a sinus infection (and so numerous nosebleeds)... which then included a (very) sore throat and bit of bronchitis (hack-hack, cough, cough...).

S'what I get for swimming in water that a gazillion other folks had been/were swimming in... with no chlorine (one of those "Come slide down our 27 natural waterfalls" nature dealies - we did seven - scary as HECK, at first, but FULL of fresh "soft" rain water and all in all was absolutely WONDERFUL - but I think I'll pass next time)... then getting on an airplane that cruised at 34k feet (really, Shel... with YOUR altitude sickness issues??? Yep, I did it).

Finally crawled out of bed (where I've been since Saturday night) a couple hours ago (pups really needed a walk, so...). Ear and throat still sore, nose still too "dry", and head still slightly pounding... but all much better than has been the past 3 days/nights. We'll see what tonight brings.

Ennywho, I'm back... but a bit weaky still, so I'll check out the new posts over the weekend (I really look forward to it) as I have a LOT to catch up with at work so might not be able to come on the board before then. I will if I can, though.

But I wanted to say "hey" and "peace" to you all... and that it does feel good to be home. Both my house... and here.

Peace to you all!

A slave of Christ,

Shel, who's starting to think she might have to rethink those vacations/adventures that require airplane travel and/or high altitudes... and swimming in "natural" watering holes...

Shelby, I hope you are feeling better today. Flying always hurts my ears even when I am not sick, but I had a lot of inner ear infections as a kid, even had them bleed a couple of times from the pressure. So i think that probably did some damage. (Or its psychological) But I know just how much pain you are talking about when you say you flew with an inner ear infection.

Just rest if you can and let your body get better.

Awesome that your kids took you on vacation though. I would have loved to go down that waterfall water-slide. That would be cool. Maybe a little scary, but fun.

Sad that your body keeps making you pay for these vacations.

Glad you're back though. You should also post some pictures when you're feeling better and are caught up with work and such.

Peace and love to you and your house,
your sister and servant, and fellow slave of Christ,
tammy

Yes, hope you're feeling better Shelby, sounds like a nasty do. I've been at daughter's all week while she had a minor ear op, helping out with grandbabies. Was a lovely time for me.

Hubby has his pacemaker/defibrillator fitted on the 1st so we are getting prepared for that now...

Peace & love to all

Loz x
