Good for you guys, dear 'Mom (mornin' and peace to you!). We're doin' a double feature day: Thor and Ender's Game!! SO excited! Maybe a triple: we want to see "12 Years A Slave," too! Dear hubby is reading the book.

If you want to laugh, see "Best Man Holiday." But take Kleenex cause while you will repeatedly laugh out loud I know you and you WILL cry, too! LOLOL! REALLY good movie, though - you will BOTH enjoy it!

Peace!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shellamar

Chuckling at all the pup stories. Mine is at the seaside on her holidays with my friend there. We are having some building work done on our block with lots of noise and men and doors open, so she is safer out of it for a couple of weeks. She gets very spoilt over there so she loves it. Winds my friend around her paw big time!

We are due for snow this week over here *groans*.

Thank you, dear Loz and Zoe (peace to you, both... and dear, Zoe, GOOD to see you, girl! I hope things are somewhat "better" for you, at least with regard to homelife, if not everything else!).

Hubby and I had a GREAT time. Drove to see (my) son and daughter, a trip that took almost three hours (vs. the usual 1.5)... due to the traffic. But we got there, meal was ready and SCRUMPTIOUS (seafood/chicken/sausage gumbo, steamed rice, FRIED chicken (with an AWESOME crust!), sweet potatoe casserole, macARONI and cheese (meaning, with real cheese - LOLOL!), etc., etc., etc. We sat around and had GREAT conversation... then trekked back home (had to get back to the fur people... who were overjoyed to see us!).

And now is another new... and JOYOUS day... 'cause we all WOKE UP, at least physically!

Peace... and thank you, dear ladies, again!

Your servant and a slave of Christ,

Shellamar

It's all 'go' here...have spent 3 weeks trying to organise builders upgrading our bathroom (finally) which has taken some skill I tell you...

My neighbour Mrs Coughalot (some may remember) is driving me bonkers, but I'm trying to be a good Christian...

And now I've been short listed for a post that requires a demanding 45 minute observed lesson as part of the interview...

Some things are sent to try us lol...

Good morning everyone : )

I believe my dog thinks that i am both somewhat crazy, and somewhat slow... and so he shows incredible patience with me ; ).

I sing around talking to him sometimes... but I think he must think that is par for the course. But lately he's been doing his "i want something' whine, and I keep mistaking it for 'i want to go outside'. So the other day, I just gave up, and said 'go... show me what you want', and then followed him to the kitchen, where he want to his empty food bowl. Looked at it. Looked up at me. Then looked at it and just kept staring at it.

It was straight out of a comic, lol.

Peace,
tammy

Ha ha ha. Bright dog Tammy. Mine is similar, I have even know her bark at a bathroom tap to tell me her water bowl is empty! They can be so clever.

LOLOL!!!!

So funny how smart they are and to think so many give animals NO credit except to think they are stupid and don't have feelings.

I have come to appreciate and love them so much more than I ever did in the past.

My puppy will come up in my face and beat his paw on me to get my undivided attention when he wants something, it's so cute!

Enjoy your day, everyone,
I never thought the Bay Area in California could drop below freezing at night and it will be all week for us. It is so cold to me. Wow! To think I used to be in snow and single digits right now! :8O
What was I thinking for so long LOLOL!!!!!

Love y'all Justmom

LOLOLO! SO funny, dear Tams (mornin', peace to you, and to you all!). But I'd like to use this very endearing situation to share some truth, if I may? NOT to take ANYTHING away from your lovely account (which had me ROTFL!), but the opportunity is prime, IMHO, so THANK you!

K, Y'all know I think my puppies are brilliant so I am not surprised at all! LOLOL! Many... most... take animal intelligence (or what they think is a lack of it) for granted, attributing much simply to "behavior"... rather than thought processes limited by their particular vessels' (in)ability to carry them out. If your dear pup COULD have done it, he would have gotten his own food (they have to in the wild/on the streets!). He would have told you what he wanted if he could speak.

But they're like children when we domesticate them/force them to live in captivity: almost totally dependent. And so, as with children... AND Christ (yes!)... we have to learn to "LISTEN" to them! Not as their physical mouths speak but in the OTHER ways they "speak" to us. It is kinda our job, as humans, to learn how to LISTEN to others, regardless of whether or NOT their speech is VOCAL.

One if the things associating with the WTBTS does is HANDICAP folks in their HEARING... which involves SO much more than the physical ears. If y'all remember, I once shared how the eyes "speak," too. The WTBTS, golden calf that it is, in demanding and teaching folks look at THEM... ALSO train folks to NOT listen... to almost anything else: other beliefs, other people, children, animals... and most importantly, Christ. By being a golden calf, and such a LARGE one in their members' lives, it also teaches that it the LARGE things in front of our faces and before our eyes that are important and count, not the SMALL things.

But that is NOT the case before JAH. It is Christ's SMALL voice... the "SMALL children"... the "LITTLE dogs"... the things UNSEEN (versus seen)... and the LEAST things that matter most to Him. We can be cognizant of all that our physical eyes and ears see and hear... and yet, NOT hear Christ or see the kingdom.

Point: it's paying attention to the things that are not necessarily before/apparent to our physical eyes and ears, but that which we ALLOW ourselves to DISCERN... with our SPIRITUAL eyes and ears. If our flesh is our main focus... and main tool we use TO hear and see... we stand to miss a LOT.

Just some things to consider during the quest to hear... better.

Again, peace to you ALL... and hug your children and animals (pets or not) often! (Well, okay, it might take awhile if you're, like, a dairy farmer... and may not be a good idea if you, say, run a large cat or primate refuge... so maybe extea snacks in those cases - LOLOL!)

YSSFS of Christ,

Shellamar

Thanks for that Shelby! And yes, I think this was a great time to share that ; )

I'm just dropping in to say hi to everyone. Had a couple of quieter days, plus work, and tonight is my sister's birthday, and she wants to play board games, so that is happening here at my house. I hope everyone else is having a good weekend.

Weather here was colder than - 40 with the windchill these past couple of days (that would be celsius, lol), and it can take less than five minutes of skin exposed to the air for frostbite. But this is Edmonton. Schools running, even the buses ran I think, and of course everyone still has to go to work. My work was pretty cold, as our pipe for hot water froze, and something else went wrong on the roof (then the poor guy who came to fix everything got locked up there accidentally and had to call down to customers to tell someone inside to let him in. Lol... but poor guy!)

Talk to you all later. Oh.. also I got all the ingredients to make the casserole, Shelby (except I had to substitute out one thing), so I will be able to make that tomorrow or Monday. Would have done it for my sister tonight, but she wanted to order pizza.

Peace and love to you all,

tammy
