Ooh Tammy, your whole family got hit by the cooties! Glad you're on the mend though. Love to everyone else....
We had a lovely day, graduation ceremony for hubby on his Masters, really proud of him. Seems the UK is having a whole month of summer so far...no complaining from me, loving the sun, and liking looking tanned, yes !

Well, today according to the radio news and the newspaper headlines, next week Britain is promised temperatures soaring up towards 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Not that anyone's complaining. Wherever I go, someone will say "isn't it lovely! It just goes on and on...and I won't complain...but it's very warm!"

Meanwhile, the incidence of hay fever climbs and climbs. I'm getting some relief from a floral, non-pharmaceutical spray. It really helps. I hate anti-histamines.

Morning everyone.
More woes for me, no water again, something else broke last night and the landlord won't hire anyone but his buddy to fix it so no one to come until tonight to check it. I have the feeling its the submergible pump for the well and we will have to wait another day with no water. Its very inconvenient especially in this hot weather not to have water. You cant wash up or brush your teeth or flush the toilet, very constipating lol. This is the 2nd time this happened this week and only 8 days into living here.

It is very HOT here too, its 87 degrees Fahrenheit right now and rising.

My life is a soap opera right now, I don't like watching them never mind living them so I hope things grt better soon.

Sounds awful, Zoe.

Meanwhile, Britain can actually trump your temperatures! LOL!

I've gone without hot water before, Zoe, but I can't recall going with no water at all.

That's a challenge for sure!

Sorry about your hayfever, Char. I know what that feels like.

I actually haven't had to take medication for allergies in a few years now. I never had them until after I had kids, and they have gotten milder the last few years, and this year I didn't feel anything at all. My oldest either, and he was always the worst for allergies. Now its my little one's turn, but if he follows his brother's pattern, he might grow out of it in a few years.

Loz... tell your hubby congrats from me!!

Peace,
tammy

It's 32C here today! Wonderful weather! Might get away and do some camping next week.

Today has been apartment cleaning and shopping for weekend visitors. Not so much fun in this heat lol, but no, I ain't complaining, not me.

Thanks Tammy, have passed it on.

Congratulations to your hubby Loz; what an exciting summer you are having.

Oh Zoe I feel for you; being without water is no fun. But if it is the pump, consider yourself fortunate if it will be fixed in a day or two.

I just rented a house that is on well water to a tenant; they are told up front that they could be out of water for quite a while when the pump goes out; around here the well driller is the only one who will pull and replace it - plumbers won't do it. So since he has a full time job, it has to wait for the first free weekend he has - it could be two or three weeks. Luckily I have a spare house right now they can go for showers and things if they don't want to go to a relative's; it's a tough situation for sure. It would sure not be easy for you to do that. I'm looking forward to you telling us something good that's happened to you.

Thanks, Tammy.

I try hard to take as little medication as possible, though for some things it's essential. As to allergies, yes, it runs in our family, right through. Previous generations both sides as far back as i can go. Of my children a number are allergic in different ways, and unfortunately, unlike you, my own allergies seem to be spreading. Most difficult are the anti optics I used to be fine with and now can't take. My husband became allergic to bee stings after we'd been keeping bees for several years. Conversely, not only did I not show any allergy to them, but they seemed calm and content around me and I never once got stung. After he had a severe anaphylactic shock reaction, we sold the bees. I was very sad, but it had to be.

On the plus side, this was before the veroa mite came into Britain, so we were spared those problems.

Yay we have water again, it wasn't the pump, it was the 220 volt electrical box the pump was plugged into in the basement...it blew up and they replaced it and it didn't take long. Whew I was afraid it was the pump, they were down in the well and ready to pull it up and then checked the electrical box as a second thought. John told him that last night on the phone and the plumber said the pump didn't have a 220 box, he was wrong. In any case I do have good news now Ataloa lol, I have water.

Haha Now we have a tornado warning, everything is blowing around like crazy. Patio chairs blew into the middle of the lawn, my flower pots fell off the deck, I hope it blows over. The lake has huge white caps and the trees are blowing sideways. Makes me nervous with my luck.
John is in a terrible mood, depressed and grumpy, great start to the weekend lol.

And just, " SAY NO!"
