Good mornin', peace to you, dear Zoe... and thank you for that very interesting information! My husband's brother had his blood read and the results were interesting, as well!
Regarding how I know I'm a Jew, I am trusting what my Lord told me, that I was a Jew by blood. He told me this when he first explained to me about how the blood "speaks." He said that that is how he "found" me... because Abraham's blood IN me called out to him (when I called out to JAH and He send my Lord to me - they can tell that one is ALSO a seed of Abraham or not; not that such matters, because his Body is taken from people of EVERY nation, tribe, and tongue - they can tell
whoever the "father" of such one truly is. So, just some irrelevant trivia.). He told me I was a "Jew" of part of the 2-tribe kingdom of Judah that is BenJahMin. What was once called a "yehudi" (although, he said I was "Jah'hu'dim").
I shared that on another site once and the outcry was just too funny. I am African American and so some were aghast that I would "try to claim to be a Jew". Shortly after, an article came out about African Jews. There a great deal of information out there, but here are some links about it:
http://wikipedia.org/wiki/African_Jews)
http://articles.washingtonpost.com/2012 ... rican-jewsBut it's gotten even better for me, actually, because I am learning that I am an
Ethiopian Jew. Ethiopia is "Cush" ("the dark skin") and my Lord told me I am a Cushite(ess). Which makes me also an Assyrian (Assyria, Cush, and Ethiopia were all the same thing at different times, depending on who was ruling the lands). So, for ME, okay, he says so, so it must be so. And then,
I'm on my way to Ethiopia. What in the world...?? Okay, he did tell me some while ago that I would be sent to my "own" people. But I had NO idea it was Ethiopia (Egypt, maybe - LOLOL!).
And then, while THERE, the indigenous people often mistook me FOR an Ethiopian. Even old ladies would come up to me and just start talking in Amharic! Huh?? When we first arrived in Addis Ababa the young lady who escorted us to our taxi asked me if I spoke "Amharic or Tigrinia?" When I said, "No, neither," she asked me if I spoke "Geez". I had to tell her (and a few other people) that, "I'm sorry, I'm American and I only speak English." When we were leaving Addis Ababa I tried to ask one Islamic young lady why there were SO many Islamic women in the airport (there were hundreds!! We found out they were domestic workers leaving for Yemen, Saudi Arabia, etc.). The look of utter shock on some of the women's faces when I did ask threw ME off - I thought I had offended some of them. I later learned from a Ethiopian young man (who now lives in Atlanta, GA) that they thought I was Ethiopian (as did he - he turned and asked me, "You're NOT Ethiopian??!") and so were taken aback when I spoke (apparently, some had never heard English before, let alone from the mouth of someone who looked like me! LOLOL!). And while in Axum, dear 'Mom said our guide told her that had I been alone, none of the children/disabled/elderly would have approached me for alms as they would have assumed me to be one of them!
I digress.
The orthodox Jewish community explains Ethiopian Jews to be the descendants of the lost 10-tribes (perhaps Dan) and so PROSELYTES and not literal Jews, but only accepted as such. So I asked about it... and what I heard was two things: first, that due to their own racism, this is all the orthodox community will allow for; they consider the darker skinned folks as "unclean" and so believing them to be of Israel and NOT Judah appeases them. They don't have to FULLY accept them and their ways. These links seem to show this to be true (sorry, but I can't seem to post JUST the link, without the media):

Information is good. TRUTH(ful information) is better.)
Secondly, he said that not ALL who were exiled to Assyria (Ethiopia) were proselytes; some were also literal Jews, just as some from the 10-tribe kingdom of Israel were exiled in Babylon with the Jews (a sprinkling of each formed alliance with the other). I was reminded, then, that the Ethiopian eunuch was a Jew BY BLOOD... and not a proselyte... as most, including the WTBTS) erroneously teach. Indeed, when spirit was poured out at Pentecost, Jews from all OVER the region had come to Jerusalem... and the only ones deemed to be proselytes were those from Rome:
"Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment, because each one heard their own language being spoken. Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans? Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language? Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome (both Jews and converts to Judaism); Cretans and Arabs—we hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues!” Acts 2:5-11Some also forget that:
1. The Queen of Sheba, who had a son (Menelik) with Solomon was an Ethiopian. And so, although Jews are deemed such by their MOTHER'S blood pursuant to custom and tradition, Abraham's blood would have been in Menelik... THROUGH Judah... because Solomon's mother (Bathsheba) and father (David) were
both of Judah. Making Menelik a Jew by BLOOD, if not by custom/tradition; and
2. Esther, a Jew, became the beloved wife of Ahasuerus, the King of Ethiopia. So THEIR children would have been Jew, by custom AND blood... as well as Ethiopians. (
Esther 2:1, 5, 7The truth is that Ethiopia and Judah actually have quite a long history. Like Israel, Judah, and Egypt, Ethiopia also had an on again/off again relationship with JAH.
Now, do I know... by SCIENCE... that I am a Jew/Abraham's see by blood? No. I see no reason to be tested to "prove" it. My Lord has never lied to me; all he has told me he has proven at some point. So, for ME, to get tested just means I don't REALLY believe him but actually lack faith in what he told me. I have NO doubt, though, that just as going to Ethiopia recently proved to me when he said I would be sent to my own people, this too will be proven at some point.
And so that's how I know, dear Zoe (huge smile)!!
I hope this helps and, again, peace to you!
Your servant and a slave of Christ,
Shellama
