Hi Chariklo :::waves::: (NO smilie here for that lol)

The nest is gone, there were NO eggs in it yet thankfully. No way could we keep it where it was, it was 2 feet from where we sit at our patio table and on our deck. We moved the ladder so they won't do it again. It was a swallow nest not a robin as the swallow came after and swooped around us for awhile poor thing.

I am not in anymore pain than usual but the exercises are difficult and very exhausting and causes pain. I hopefully will be able to keep them up. :? LOOK LOOK the existing smilies don't work now either. Tec needs to get tec support to fix them for here *hint* lol

Ahhhh, dear Zoe (peace to you, luv!). I feel your "pain" HERE, girl! Given current "spring" temps HERE, lawd knows how I'm gonna get through the coming summer!

Peace... and thank gawd for fans, yes?

Your servant and a slave of Christ,

SA, who almost spit her tea out reading your post because of thinking of HER last couple of nights (covers on, covers off, get up, lay down, fan up high, fan down a notch... shower... then start again). Poor hubby was an exhausted MESS when he came home yesterday... due to the lack of sleep the night before and (very) early rising in the morn... due to my "antics." Poor thing had to take a haitus to the sofa for a few hours last night just to get some decent sleep. The "change" SUCKS!!!

Morning everyone

Ooh yes! I too was in and out of the covers all night. Hubby can not even touch my skin or I sweat.
I tell him he makes me hot all the time ;) but not in the way he would like, LOL ::))

Another hot one. Gonna hit the pool for a while. Enjoy your day,
Love Justmom

We don't go from cold to hot in that way. We move gradually through all the stages of cold, cool, getting warmer, even warmer, very warm, hot, very hot etc. Here we've had a lovely week, still a bit cool, but plenty of sunshine and lovely fresh breeze. Just a brief shower or two to keep the flowers happy! But it has a long way to go before it gets warm.

I've had a lovely afternoon, out birdwatching which, apart from playing chess, is one of my favourite pastimes. I was rewarded, along with other birdwatchers, with getting to see a rarity, a bird that normally lives over with you. In fact it's been around here for much of this week, but this was the first time I'd managed to see it, the first time I'd had a spare afternoon and could go for a good walk. Lots of others had heard the news, and the bird continued to search for food, ignoring us all and ignorant that it had become a local celebrity!

It used to be like that here in Cali, dear Char (peace to you, luv!). Some blame global warming on the change. I think some of it has to do with our adhering to a set calendar, rather than a "moving" one such as Israel has (where the seasons and crops "adjust" based on the moon, etc.). Because it all seems to come back into "sync" after a few years.

Last year, folks were concerned about the early bloom of apple/cherry trees in my area, where things that should have bloomed (rhododendron, etc.) didn't. When we moved into our house 9 years ago, the rhododendrons were in full bloom in January. Each year, it seems to be about 1-2 months later. This year, they bloomed about 2 weeks ago.

Then there's that whole Puxtatawney Phil seeing his shadow... and less/more winter, depending... thing.

Just my $0.02 re the "weird" weather.

Peace, girl!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shellama... who sometimes longs for the one-season "sprummerall" weather of San Diego (where she grew up)...

Well, I do love the changing seasons. Keeps me from getting bored, and I DO get bored, lol And tired of shoveling, and then tired of being too hot. But it is fun changing out the summer clothes with the winter clothes and vice versa :D

I don't think we have enough of a fall and spring though. Lots of times we switch from winter to summer with maybe a couple of spring weeks, and from summer to winter, with a couple of fall weeks.

Our regular smilie face is not working so if you want to smile you have to hit the colon/big D

Just an fyi... :D

Peace,
tammy

Seven years you say ??? Lord give me strength (or a new supply of some estrogen, since the lack of it is supposedly causing all these problems!)

Good Morning everyone!!! Wow all this advertising happening suddenly, very annoying but I guess we will get used to it.

It is a gorgeous day here so I am off to sit on the deck and live there all day. Yay. Image

I do not have hot flashes anymore, actually never did with the menopause thing, I get hot with the MS thing, can't stand any heat at all or it makes me sick. I have to use cooling scarves in the summer.

Hello everyone! Glad to hear you sounding chirpy and enjoying the warmth Zoe. Oooh the 'change' Shelby, what a nightmare that was...spent years under fans, even bought a hand one for unexpected flushes which came one after the other and left me soaked. I resorted to a mild HRT to cope in the end.
The joys of womanhood!

Am at home this bank holiday weekend, and whilst it's sunny outdoors, I have so much work to do on my final essays for the Post Grad certificate, there will be no outdoor fun for me, *pulls a sad face*. On the up side though. I have completed my 100 hours teaching placement this week, and it will all be over in a month's time. Time to get a 'proper' job and enjoy some UK summer, hopefully. Hubby and I have been asked to go and work together teaching at a college in China for a year, but we're hesitating, such a long way....shame we're not younger...

Ok coffee refill and back to the books....have a lovely weekend everyone...

Loz x

Good morning dear Shirley....

Ooh but I AM on a estrogen patch twice a week. That allows me to have ANY sleep as before I had NONE. Doctor wants me on only enough estrogen to have the hot flashes bearable as I had a breast cancer scare for them, and too much estrogen, not good. So I endure them, and at times they are not bad at all. Winter time is better as I am much colder.
But I love summer time. That's when swimming comes in to cool the body down from the inside out, LOL

Enjoy your day everyone
Going to a BBQ today. Sounds so good! Haven't had BBQ in a long time.

Love Justmom. 8) /:)

The advertising doesn't happen on my iPad yay. On my desktop there is all these ads flashing at the bottom and a sidebar with advertising and certain words turn into advertising. It's very distracting. I guess cause iPad doesn't allow flash I don't get it here.

Anyone else notice the advertising?

There shouldn't be any advertising, Zoe, and I don't have any on my screen.

We have another beautiful spring day... and it has come with houseful of spring colds, lol. I thought it was just allergies, but my husband doesn't get allergies and he does have this cold.

Sorry to all the ladies and the hot flashes. Not looking forward! My mom's didn't last long though, so I might get lucky. Enjoy your bbq, Justmom.

Peace!

tammy
