Good morning ZOE....
And yes, some therapy for that foot sounds like a must. I'm sorry its causing you problems.
No worries about having nothing new spiritually to share. Maybe focus on " YOU" and you'll feel better. It will lift your spirits. :) :)
Sometimes I just enjoy going back and re-reading some of the older posts and they have even a greater meaning or understanding. It then makes me feel like I have been given something new from Holy Spirit to ponder on.

Enjoy your day, keep posted on your therapy.

I'm sorry Zoe, that you are feeling so bad of late.

I have not been around much lately either, and today is the hubby's birthday (and we are broke, lol... but this weekend I think we will go see Evil Dead, which he has been so excited for, loving the first ones as he does. For me, I'm going to treat it like a high school date, so i can be the teenager cozying up to her boyfriend during a scary/funny/dumbish move :D that should actually make us both laugh all the way through it)

Has anyone ever been that sole person in a theatre who has laughed out loud during an absurd "scary" scene... thinking everyone else is going to laugh as well... only to find that there is dead silence EXCEPT for you - the obviously deranged person? I did that in Jurassic Park 3, when Tea Leoni gets tangled up in the parachute strings carrying her boyfriend's decomposing/mostly eaten corpse, and all of her fighting and screaming to free herself just ends up tangling her closer to him. Sorry, but i just found that hilarious... though there was dead silence from the rest of the theater.

Peace,
tammy

If I hadn't been in such a hurry when moving things over, I probably would have added comments to some of those older threads. Because i was moving posts, and skimming as i went along... and then 'oh, oh!'... wanting to comment. I have a couple comments/posts stored up that I will post soon. But i rarely ever look back at old threads, so moving posts over and looking at them was pretty interesting. Seeing a few threads that I missed, as well as seeing what i would say now to some of those older threads too.

Peace,
tammy

Greetings, dear Zoe, peace to you... and yeah, you gotta do something about that, luv! Have you considered (in ADDITION to therapy!) getting one of those foot "pedaling" doo-dads? It's a smallish gizmo with two pedals that sits on the floor. You "pedal" while you sit and watch TV, knit, chat, read, whatever. They cost less than $30 (at Wal-Mart - not sure if you all have one there but I'm thinking you have something similar). Just a thought. Hope you get control of this issue for YOUR health... AND peace of mind (which is VERY important!).

Not me, dear tec (peace to you, chile'!)... but my younger brother, yes. The movie? "The Exorcist"! He actually laughed out loud several times! I don't think most folks minded, though. Some actually laughed after he did - I think they were actually glad SOMETHING was making them laugh through THAT movie! LOLOLOL! To this day I am sure my brother's laughter is what go me through the first time seeing that movie. It was such a breeze, actually, that some years later I thought I could see it again. Made it through maybe the first 10-15 minutes... and then scenes starting flashing back and... uh-uh. Nope. Had NO desire whatsoever to see it again. Somehow I remembered that, in spite of all the laughter, it really wasn't funny at ALL. Talk about your heebie-jeebies.

NOW, I think I actually WOULD laugh through it. If I could get past the theme music so as to watch it, that is. Funny, isn't, how music can "bring back" feelings long past... good AND bad... and even of no consequence, but still "moving"? Like, say, the theme from "Jaws": dunna, dunna, dunna-dunna-DUNNA, dunna, dunna, dunna-dunna-DUNNA...

Peace, dear ones!

Your servant and a slave of Christ,

Shellama

Morning everyone, Happy Wednesday. Its is a gloomy gloomy rainy day here. Woke up with the pager going off. My hubby got called out on the volunteer Fire Dept to go help sandbag the river at another town, lots of flooding going on right now around here but not actually where I live thankfully. He didn't go, his knees hurt too much with this weather and he had worked all night too.

Happy Birthday to Tammy's husband, I am sure he will get lots of love and attention for his birthday, no need for money to celebrate.

Shelby, I never heard of the those foot pedal things, we do have a Walmart for sure. I will see what the Physiotherapists says I need. I have an appt next wednesday. We got the insurance sorted out and they pay $1000 a year for therapy and 80% of each appt so that should help. Soon I can get it free when I turn the old age, age lol though the waiting list will be forever. You get what you pay for and if you pay nothing you dont get much.

OK now I know a lot of you drink tea so pretend this is tea or coffee, love this gif.

This is one of the towns just north of us that is on the river and flooding bad. We used to live on this river but sold the house in 2011. Nothing but sandbagging going on for over a week and the rain doesn't help. The whole town is flooded, parking lots and all the stores and banks closed.

Good morning, all, and peace to you! I apologize for not being around "much." "Life" has been going on here a bit, including some more "under the weather"-ness. Since some things are "TMI" I won't share the details. Suffice it say, I'm a woman over 50 and have just be "hit" VERY heavily (some of you ladies will know what I mean - you gents just close your eyes and back out after this point, if you need to - LOLOLOL!). S'been tough, lemme tell ya. Thought I had gotten away with a light "dose" last year. Even laughed at dear friends and family "going through it." Well, you know what Christ said about judging (and laughing at others CAN be a form of judging, unless you're laughing WITH them, too - LOLOLOL!). I thought, "Hoo-whee, I'm SO glad 'mine' isn't as bad as 'hers'!"

And a year passed and... OMG. MY turn - LOLOLOL! And so I totally understand if anyone wants to laugh at (and with) me: this is some crazy "stuff"!! LOLOLOL!

But, ah well, the vessel of flesh; what can you say? The sucka has a mind of its own and, as an enemy, will 'betray' you whenever it can/wishes to. Some more than others, of course. But even the smallest betrayal is annoying. Don'cha wish you could just TELL your body to "cut it the frick out!" and it would do it? Without potions, lotions, pills, creams, shots, surgery... or even exercise? Cheah, right!

The day will come, though, and I, for one, am SO looking forward to it. Live forever... in THIS body?? Not even the hope of living in "paradise" could make me want that. No, I want to put on the INCORRUPTIBLE body, the WHITE robe... and vessel that obeys ME... and has NO sickness... OR death... in it!

Praise JAH, One gave his own life so that such could be possible! May it be JAH's will for ALL of us here, and our dear loved ones. Indeed, for the world!

Praise JAH, you people! Let every... living... breathing... thing... let it PRAISE JAH!

Okay, I'm done. Just had to "sweat" that out - LOLOLOL!

Peace... and hope you all have a LOVELY day (although, dear, dear Zoe... my heart goes out for you and dear hubby, girl! I truly hope the weather changes for you dear ones SOON... and for those in the towns near you! Ya'll need some SUN up there, honey! Here's a little bit for ya, doll... albeit, reminiscent of the Serengheti, so maybe too much - LOOLOL! Regardless, enjoy!):

On with the day!

Hello ALL....

I too wanna add that I hope TAMMY and hubby had a wonderful day together.
Simple things and times together seem to be the most fun , at least for me and hubby.

And ZOE, OMG. Flooding! That looks terrible. I am so sorry.
Glad you are and hubby are safe.
Had a run around all day, DAY! Traffic sure can add a lot of extra unwanted time to you schedule. Lol
But had a great lunch and matinee with a very dear sister of mine, ;)

Signing off after checking in so late, :|

I've never been in a place with flooding, although we got enough rain one year that the government subsidized the expenses of any and all basement damage, and on one main road that dips into a valley, a mom and her two young boys stalled out and got trapped. Then the water kept rising so that they actually could have drowned. She did get out with both of them, with help. But that was just from the crazy amount of rain that got dumped on us all in a couple of days.

Thanks for all the b-day well wishes for the hubby, I told him :) ... he, however, spent the evening in his shop (man cave as big as our house) out back, with all the boys who came to 'wish him happy birthday' We did watch Django last night. Was good :)

Shelby, I hope this passes soon for you!

And... it is spring here finally. We're staying in the plus's, and while snow is called for this weekend, I think it is too warm and it will be rain instead ;)

Peace,
tammy

Hello all. It's the weekend! Yea! Although I don't know why I'm so excited, I have a mountain of written work to do by Monday, so there won't be much chillin going on!
Hope everyone's as well as can be expected.....

Loz x
