JAMESBROWN SAID Hello I go by James Brown on JWN board. I'm glad to see this forum. I was born a JW in 1952. I was a ministerial servant and pioneered back in 1974 and 1975, in Cleveland Ohio. My mother, younger brother and sister were witnesses. My father never was. He didnt care for the organization and burned my mothers books and literature several times. My mother, brother and sister are all out of the organization today. I am not disfellowshipped. I started fading in 1976 and figured out how to totally escape in 1983. I just stopped going. My wife kept going for 10 years after I stopped, then she got up the nerve to just say no. And she stopped going also in 1993. She is not disfellowshipped either. When I left the JW's I read the bible cover to cover several times. From 1973 to 1976, I beleived "the truth" was the truth. I didn't know any better. But I woke up January 1976. |

JUSTMOM SAID Welcome James Brown I too read the bible from cover to cover on exiting the organization. Couldn't believe how alive everything came when I learned that the organization was not the truth but that "Christ is the Truth" Everything applied to mostly "THEM" not outside christendom. That I too could revceive holy spirit, it was "FREE", and I could enter into the new covenant for life not just the 144,000. In fact if I wanted to have life, a resurrection, to live forever, have my sins forgiven then I must heed John 6:37-59 "Eat His flesh and drink His blood." Glad your here justmom |

"Therefore, if you, although being wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more so will the Father in heaven give holy spirit to those asking him!" NWT I did not know it at the time, but when I asked for Holy Spirit everything started happening. Knowing you can ask for Holy Spirit was an eye-opening event.
