ANTHONY SAID

I thought I would test out the new forum. Thank you for the invite Shelby. Running a forum can be a challenge and I wish you the best for this new endeavor.

I was raised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses by parents who were also raised 'in the Truth'. When I was 29 years old I was disfellowshipped for apostasy, primarily because I had grievances with the Watchtower's UN relationship and I believed the religion's view of the 'Faithful & Discreet Slave' was idolatry. I am the author of two novels: 'Happiness: How to Find It' and 'Paradise Earth'. 'Happiness' is currently being released as a free weekly serial by Curiosity Quills Press. 'Paradise Earth' is due for print/ebook publication by the same publisher later this year.

PSACRAMENTO SAID

Hi there
I was a former member over at JWN (Jehovahs Witness.net) and left when the site started being very intolerant and hostile towards believers.
I am not and never have been a JW, but my Father, Mother and older sister are.
I joined JWN to help me understand what it means to be a JW and to try to help them to get out and realized that it is up to Our Lord and not anyone/anything else as to what, if anything, will happen in that regards.
SO I have left it up to Our Lord and have done my part by being ( or at least trying to be) an example of a good Christian.
I am studying theology and have always been fascinate with apologetics and our amazing Christian faith and its history.
I hope to help people to understand that Our Lord is far more than just "words in a book" and that He IS, that His love and the love of Our Father sustains Us and that we are "restless til we find our home in Him".

AGUEST SAID

Glad to see you both here! Thanks for sharing your background with us! We hope this forum proves to be a place where you can feel safe expressing your faith and commenting on/asking questions about matters of faith, God, Christ, the WTBTS, or just about any other topic you choose! I am sure there will be some... ummmmm... discussions that challenge all of us but our hope is that they can take place without deteriorating as they tend to do elsewhere. It's gonna take all of us having patience and a spirit of cooperativeness to ensure discussions DON'T so deteriorate, which you both already exhibit. Thank you for joining us!

Take care and may JAH bless!

Your servant and fellow slave of Christ,

SA

LOZ SAID

Well isn't this just really cool? Feels like a 'safe house' to pop into for a chat, so I'll hang my coat and pick this comfy old rocking chair to settle in. Thank you Shelby and Tec, I'll have a nice cup of tea please. You have this place looking very homely, just as I'd expect Isaiah 32 v 18.
I look forward to chewing the fat here and watching others do the same.
Loz x
