Hi all.

I was raised as a JW by loving parents who sincerely believed they were doing the best thing. Baptized in my late twenties, and df'd in my early thirties for - surprisingly - not being able to pray to Jehovah, during a meeting with the elders. My heart would no longer allow me to worship a tiny Biblical concept of a god.

My sense of God, now, is that which is infinite and resides in every atom of the "material" world and fills all space in-between. I put material in quotes, as I'm not so sure there is one...as crazy as that may sound.

That said, I was invited here by dear Shelby (Aguest), and promised her I would sign up.

Dear, dear JT... the greatest of love and peace to you... WELCOME... and glad you made it! My hope is that this place can prove to be a sort of "refuge" for you.



It doesn't sound crazy to me, at all. As you may have read on JWN, my understanding is that this (the physical/material "world") is NOT the reality, but actually the REFLECTION of the reality. So, we're not that far apart in our paradigms, dear one.

What you said about the material world also does not sound crazy to me! Sounds completely sane, actually. I think it is just a 'surface' thing, the material world... or as Shelby said, a reflection.
