Dear Friends:

May I share with you my personal memories of love? I have healed and am grateful that God has granted me acceptance of my lot in life. I have been blessed with many new "loves."

Since I don't have you, I conjure up
An image that is both real and ideal ...

What I do recall is etched in sharp relief,
But deeply, in dark caverns of the mind.

The heart is a better well of reminiscence
As it draws up an intangible but true past.

A newfound and tranquil corner within assures
That love, though gone missing, was never lost....

I am so happy to hear that you have healed.

No poetry from me, it is not my strength... but i do want to say that it is such a relief, and so freeing, to be able to love without conditions. (pretty nice to be loved without conditions too)

Both just fill a person up with peace and light... and of course, love.

You, my beloved - dearest soul ever to touch a foot
on this hallowed earth 'pon which now I kneel -

It's but the memory of you, that fading recollection of
glorious moments past that join my aching heart to a

Wasted soul in an elusive hope that somehow, some
way, I might find relief from a descent into madness.

The parting of our ways was enjoined upon me by a
sickness that struck at a weakness we neither of us

Knew did lurk; and lurk and menace it did until in full
and robust form it burst forth fully conceived from an

Unsuspecting heart: your once pure and noble heart
fastened itself onto another, a soul whose neediness

Supplanted my own needs - those once attended to by
you; and so you drifted to him whose heart was, by

Urgent necessity, in peril lest you, the healer of those
forlorn, should fail to succor the weaker of us two.

It is useless, as in all endeavors to which
hand and heart have been so intently set,
that I should seek further communication
with you, you so adept at creating an aura

Of nonchalance when only the raging fire of
burning passion - passion for me - should suffice.
You display less than a trifling concern over matters
that are of signal import to me and feign indifference.

I have been sleepless with grief over your tepidity,
your failure to commit to what should be a life spent
together in pursuit of an aim higher than that allowed
those simpleminded spectators, whose frozen gaze sets

Upon a fleeting world that passes them by. If only you showed
some heart, some fire; my winning you over will never be done.
It is useless ... my love for you avails me naught, as He does see.
