It's been a while since I've laid pen to paper to record my thoughts. What follows are random jots in no particular order. I've shared this in other forums but not this one yet. Enjoy and see the world through my eyes

A brief jot that some may have felt when they left the Watchtower...


The gates of my heart feel as if they've been torn down. The walls of Jericho, fallen. I am sad, hurt and in the darkest of pain. The twisted remnants of my soul flap in the cold, callous bitter winds of a harsh bleak desert. I am but a walking corpse trudging through the bleakness of a life without you. Running away from you in a silent scream of agony, I see the truth of your deceit. The hot fiery tears that I shed burns a hole, piercing the fabric of lies... your lies.

Dust settles evenly on the old brown shoe
Discharged from service due to a death
What was once a happy couple is now no more
It sits in a corner now, fearing dogs.
The worn wrinkled skin deep with furrows
Creases across the face.
Toes curled up from years of abuse
It sits now, in idle thought
What are you thinking old brown shoe?
Where have you been in your travels?
Do you miss the race?

The things that we see
Are no longer there
Our eyes have been fooled
By the illusion of light.
In the blink of an eye
Countless worlds go dark and dim
In the blink of an eye
We awake from sleep
Darkness reigns supreme
In the absence of light.

The present is a delicate
Balance of time.
The past and future
Just a construct of man
The only thing that's real
Is the here and now
Everything else
Is just an illusion.
The present that we have is
A fleeting gift of life
That once received
No longer exists

My fields need slaves.

Turning turning!
Blur of motion
Gyroscopic forces contend
The hub cannot hold.
Cracks appear...
Quickly quickly,
Hurry before it breaks!
Snap! There goes the band.
Pop! There goes the spokes
They fly with such speed!
The wheel is gone
Splinters remain
The only movement now
Is memory.

Not a poembut a mini blog..


In SF where people rush by.
Time is money and thoughts are jaded.
Stop for a moment and look to your feet
Homeless women with dogs look up
I walk past two such souls
Pleading for care and then giving up
Resolute defeat echoes in their silence.
She doesn't see me continuing on
To the corner flowerstand.
I pick up a tulip for $1.75
Bundle it up with $2.00

I walk on back and acknowledge her eyes
Hand her the blossom and share my time
For $3.75 I've bought her respect
A small price really to be remembered.
She shares her thoughts on how hard it's been
I sooth her hand and muster a grin
"Have a good night, this flower's for you
I saw you and your dog and wanted to say
You are not invisible..."

Friend of mine(Kara) wrote down her thoughts on the Beslan tragedy in 2004 where children lost their lives at school to rebel bombing. i turned it into a poem.

"Beslan 2004"

Innocence killed
by atrocities of hate.
So many lives are broken.

Time serves to heal
the pain and the regret
But also makes us forget.

And then... we suffer
the mistakes we made again.
Nothing ever changes.

Our love will break
the wheel of ignorance
But too little and too late.
