I take it you aren't into golf and cricket lol.

My guy doesn't watch sports at all unless its shooting guns at a range or whatever. He also likes motorcycle racing. I will take the golf over guns and motorcycles, much quieter and peaceful.

I kind of like golf though its slow, we don't really have cricket over here so don't know that one.
The game I hate watching is soccer and football.

Do you like reading Loz? if so maybe you can find a quiet corner and do some of that.

LOLOLOL! Mornin' and peace to you, dear Loz, and sorry your day is going thus. Something I recently learned on a reality show I love to watch:

Apparently, pole dancing is a VERY good anecdote for such behavior. That... or crawling across the floor REAL slow... and naked. LOLOLOL LOLOLOL LOLOLOL!!!!

Whyn't ya give one (or both) of them a go, luv... then let the rest of us know if it worked? I mean, we're all adults here, right? I hope so - LOLOLOL! Otherwise, children cover your eyes and leave this thread immediately! LOLOLOL!!!

I'm sorry, I'm sorry... but I just saw that show and when I read this... I just couldn't help it! HAD to share THAT! The situation just cried out for it!

I luv ya, dear Loz, so I hope there was NO offense, girl! PEACE to you, truly... and really, let us know which one worked (wink, wink!) - LOLOLOL!

YOUR servant, sister, and fellow slave of Christ,

Shellama, whose dear hubby isn't into sports but art and reading, thank gawd... most certainly on her own here....

I don't mind watching golf but I am useless at playing it. But cricket! I love it! I grew up playing the family version of it with my cousins and friends, and back then it was very much a family pastime whener there was a big picnic out in the open, in a park or on a suitable beach. We used to have big get-together s with grandparents, aunts and uncles, and an enduring memory of my grandfather is of him keeping wicket, trouser-legs rolled up high above bare feet on the damp sand! Great days!

I also love watching football (soccer) and rugby, and thoroughly enjoy swimming and athletics of all kinds! I don't like darts and bowls all that much but I don't mind!

I even remember watching a game of baseball on an American air base! They were giving a day out to all the local children, and that was my first experience of American children...i remember being astounded at girls wearing lipstick!!!!!... and hot dogs and chili beans! It must have been about 1955.

Firstly, yes Zoe, I love reading fortunately, and have spent the day, since visitors left, with my Kindle, curled up with Daisy (pooch). Felt like the best alternative.

Shelby, you've given me a good chuckle or 2! Am thinking at my age and shape it could end up being more of a comedy routine than a seduction lololol!

Char, I played cricket as a youngster too, in the local village street or fields. Find it very slow and boring to watch though. We actually live really near to a local Cricket club so the lovely sound of leather on willow is part of our lives all summer. Football (soccer) is hubby's fave sport in this very 'tribal' teams city, so we have that from autumn onwards, but I don't mind that so much.

I won't make any crude remarks about the fascination men have with balls......

Loz Xmas

Well, lots of us women enjoy watching sport too!

There used to be sons to support, and now there are grandsons! My ten year old grandson shows promise!

I was in heaven with the Olympics!

In light of the times, I would think sons... daughters.... And granddaughters, yes, dear Char (peace!). I mean, notwithstanding the societal constrictions of our generation... and those before..seems to ME that daughters and granddaughters are deserving of our recognition and support as well? Not every little girl wants to be a "Susie Homemaker" first and foremost.

Peace!

A slave of Christ.... and not so much a Susie Homemaker (dang!) but more of a CEO... had I not had a certain man to hold up...

BEST DIVORCE LETTER EVER

Dear Wife,
I’m writing you this letter to tell you that I’m leaving you forever. I’ve been a good man to you for 7 years & I have nothing to show for it. These last 2 weeks have been hell. ... Your boss called to tell me that you quit your job today & that was the last straw. Last week, you came home & didn’t even notice I had a new haircut, had cooked your favorite meal & even wore a brand new pair of silk boxers. You ate in 2 minutes, & went straight to sleep after watching all of your soaps. You don’t tell me you love me anymore; you don’t want sex or anything that connects us as husband & wife. Either ...you’re cheating on me or you don’t love me anymore; whatever the case, I’m gone.
Your EX-Husband
P.S. don’t try to find me. Your SISTER & I are moving away to West Virginia together! Have a great life!

Dear Ex-Husband
Nothing has made my day more than receiving your letter. It’s true you & I have been married for 7 years, although a good man is a far cry from what you’ve been. I watch my soaps so much because they drown out your constant whining & griping. Too bad that doesn’t work. I DID notice when you got a hair cut last week, but the 1st thing that came to mind was ‘You look just like a girl!’ Since my mother raised me not to say anything if you can’t say something nice, I didn’t comment. And when you cooked my favorite meal, you must have gotten me confused with MY SISTER, because I stopped eating pork 7 years ago. About those new silk boxers: I turned away from you because the $49.99 price tag was still on them, & I prayed it was a coincidence that my sister had just borrowed $50 from me that morning. After all of this, I still loved you & felt we could work it out. So when I hit the lotto for 10 million dollars, I quit my job & bought us 2 tickets to Jamaica. But when I got home you were gone.. Everything happens for a reason, I guess. I hope you have the fulfilling life you always wanted. My lawyer said that the letter you wrote ensures you won’t get a dime from me. So take care.
Signed, Your Ex-Wife, Rich As Hell & Free!

P.S. I don’t know if I ever told you this, but my sister Carla was born Carl. I hope that’s not a problem

just saw Paul's really big close up photo of the soup
earlier in this thread

i can't believe how much a great photo of food
can affect my baser animal stomach instincts

i had an incredible pea soup last night
with ham pieces and rice and green onion

please
if anyone else would like to donate
more such soup photos
you will find me riveted to the screen

your kindly photo donation will help
bring hope and relief
to a visual famine
ravishing the land of Mystomakrumbles

each month we'll send you
a newsletter of wonderful progress

that 1-800 number once again
is 1-800-show-more-food

Sincerely,
Famished Fan of Fabulous Food

We actually have a thread with some fabulous pics of food, dear WS (peace to you!). I mean, I THINK that was this board! I will look for it. In the meantime, if you start jonesin', trying taking a walk through the "Just Fun" room and see what's in there.

Peace!

I don't think we have the pics... I didn't know how to transfer pics, so none of those came over. But we do have the recipe thread ; )

Peace,
tammy
