Peace and love to you as well, Kim.

Kids went back to school today (bleh), and I may be doing a bit more than normal 'tent-making' for the next little while. But I also have all of you in my heart, and think about you every day, and hope you are all doing well. I do check in every day, even if I am not posting.

Love and peace to you all also,
your sister and servant and fellow slave of Christ,
tammy

Thank you both for the lovely messages. I too think of you all and keep you in my daily prayers and send you wishes for peace with my love.

Currently staying near my family, spent some hours today with my little grand daughter. She wanted to go to the Costa coffee shop for a 'baby chino' lol. Such a delight. She warms my heart, truly.

So this is just for fun, but I am really tired, and get a little silly (in my texting and my talking) when really tired. So this is my conversation with hubby on our phones, texting just now:

Tammy: Whatchoo doin?

Hubby: Playing darts

Tammy: By yoself?

Hubby: No Neighbours too

Hubby: Sup?

Tammy: : )

Hubby: What does that mean?

Tammy: I thought you were making fun of my word 'yoself' and so asking me 'sup. You know, like wassup.

Tammy: There is no Supper.

Hubby: Ok

You might need to be as tired as me to find that as amusing as I found it though. *rolls eyes at self*

Peace all!

I'll refrain from laughing until I know whether dear hubby meant 'wassup'... or sumthin' about supper... when he texted "sup"?, dear Tams (peace, luv!). Until then, well, I'm scratching my head (in confusion, though, and not cause I got bugs'r ennythin' - LOLOL!).

Peace... to both you and dear hubs!

Well, I first thought he meant wassup. Then when he was confused about my smilie face response, I thought he must have been asking for supper. Which made me laugh and so I shared it here. Then when he came into the house later that night, I talked it over with him and he said he did mean wassup, but just did not understand why I gave a smilie face in response. Which I gave because I thought he said Sup to make fun of me for saying 'yoself', instead of spelling it properly.

So um... if you can follow that, then you are doing better than both hubby and I. Because we just ended up dropping the subject, lol.

It would have been way funnier if he had been asking about supper, which is what I thought and why I shared it. But alas, I must have been far more tired than even I realized ; )

Peace to you!

Hello Kim, yes thank you I'm doing ok. Bruising now mostly yellow and swelling reduced. Seems we don't bounce so well when we're older lol. Looking forward to a holiday in Ibiza on the 10th with friends. Have kept busy with my crochet. All good.

Peace and love to all

Loz x

Glad everyone is doing good. Just been busy on my end, plus I went and got tendonitis, so I am borrowing my son's wrist brace, but I might need one for both wrists. I think I might be getting sympathy tips at work though, so you know... glass is half full ; )

Peace and love to you all,
your sister, and servant and fellow slave of Christ,

Glad your doing better dear Loz, peace sister. Yup, " stuff" takes a lot longer these days LOL.

Ooh man Tams, so sorry about the wrists. It's a killer carrying plates, trays, etc in the darn restaurant business. Mine have held up but it's the right leg that's giving me trouble lately. Darn!

But all in all, no complaints. Keep pushin... /:)

I am really enjoying this fallish weather. It's beginning to be my favorite time of year I think now.

It rained this morning, the first in a long time. The air feels and smells wonderful today.

Well, enjoy your week everyone, love your sister in Christ, Kim

Also glad to hear you're feeling/looking/doing better, dear Loz (peace to you, luv!). And yes, gotta take care of ourselves the best we can. We may be promised years of life but this world can certainly affect the quality of it. Negatively as well as positively.

The greatest of love and peace to you, dear hubby, and your household!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shel

Good Morning everyone Image

Image

So glad to hear everyone is doing well here despite life's little nuisances and aches and pains.

I come here everyday to see what is going on but don't have much to report. Life was pretty sad for a few months here and I was really upset about my eye surgery that had complications. So I don't like saying much when things are down, I prefer to have good things to report as I don't want to bring others down just because I am down.

I had a really nice day yesterday, got pampered for my birthday and my Man took me out for a nice steak dinner and The Keg which is a great chain restaurant here in Canada. First steak I have had in 1 year when we went there last year. This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving so we will be having turkey tomorrow, I will need to and am going on a diet on Tuesday LOL.

My daughter is adjusting to being without a man in her life but my grandson who is 7 is acting up and I think it bothers him his Daddy is dead. I think she will be okay though and so glad that the worse is over as she called me everyday until a few weeks ago crying. It was very upsetting especially as I can't help her much.

That's my updates for now, have a great weekend everyone.
Hugs

Happy late Birthday Zoe!

I'm so glad that your daughter is doing better, and I hope you have a great thanksgiving. My mom is coming today, and she is doing the whole deal here for us. I could not get the time off work and go up to visit her, but this is even better, because now I get the leftovers! I do not have the willpower (or any real desire, I guess) for dieting. So what happens, happens ; )

Peace and love to you and to your loved ones,
your servant and sister, and a slave of Christ,
tammy

(Oh, Loz, I was serving an English family at work last night who live here now, and the little girl was so excited that they were going to do a turkey this year, because they never have before. Since I already went through my surprise and 'doh' moment from talking to you last year about Thanksgiving, and the fact that this is strictly an American/Canadian holiday, I got to look 'less' uninformed, lol. Peace and love to you too!)

Good morning everyone and peace to you all...

Glad things are calming a little for you Zoe and yes, Happy belated Birthday!
Also glad your daughter is doing a little better. Time and the fact she has had you everyday I know has helped even if you feel you haven't done much. I'm sure you have made a world of difference to her just being there.

Happy holidays to you you all. Enjoy the Big Bird ( turkey).
Enjoy your visit Tams with your mom and family.

All is great over here on this side of the pond ( as dear Loz says :) ) peace sister!

Love your sister in Christ, Kim

Ahhhh... dear, dear Zoe... the greatest of love and peace to you, dear sister! And to your household and your dear daughter and her household. I am sorry I miss giving you a birthday greeting, luv. I am NOT good at remembering things like that (one reason the WTBTS appealed to me - birthdays/holidays did not bring much joy to our household when I was a child/young so I came to view them as just another day, mine particularly).

BUT, for YOU...

HAPPY YOUR DAY, dear, dear Zoe!!!

And glad dear John made it special for you!

Re daughter, yeah, she's probably just a little cried out, right now. It'll come and go, though, as she has bad days and not so bad days... and as her boys grow up and she has to deal with the usual (and not so usual, given the situation) things that come with that.

You can help, though, if you have the strength. Women have been stepping up and playing father almost since man began. Men are lost to families for all manner of reasons, from war to accidents to being incarcerated, sold off... or just leaving. We do NOT need men to well-raise children. Nor do men need women. In truth, a child only needs one parent (figure). Two is good but I'll take one GOOD parent (figure) over two BAD (or one good with one bad) ANY time.

Many people considered great in this world were raise by single mom's for a plethora of reasons. Bill Clinton. Baraka Obama. And in many instances the parent figure was a GRANDparent. Probably more often than we can count.

YOU can make a difference in this child's life (AND his mom's)... by adopting him. Not literally; I know your limitations. But you can adopt him SPIRITUALLY. Reach out to him, TALK to him, daily... and help HIM through this. Not coddle him but help him GROW... past this. And let him talk to YOU, share with YOU what he [feels he] can't tell/share with his mom/others. Be a "safe place" for him in this scary world and help navigate him through.

And it's not just gratuitous; there is something in it for you: brownie points with the MOST HOLY One of Israel, JAH of Armies.

You recall, I'm sure, where James wrote that "the form of worship that is ACCEPTABLE to God is to look after widows and orphans in their tribulation." James 1:27

Your grandson... grandsons... is/are now orphans in the eyes of JAH. Because they are "fatherless." And it is pleasing to HIM when those who belong to Him (especially through Christ) look after these. Because we emulate THEM:

Exodus 22:22
Deuteronomy 10:17, 18; 27:19
Job 29:12
Psalm 10:14; 68:5; 82:3; 146:9
Isaiah 1:17, 23
Jeremiah 5:28; 7:6; 49:11
Ezekiel 22:7
Hosea 14:3
Zechariah 7:10

It may seem a daunting thing to take on in your situation but I promise you... PROMISE you... you will receive MANY blessings as a result. Especially HEALING... for your spirit if not your flesh. Because in this thing, looking after your grandson(s) SPIRITUALLY, if not physically (and there is that, too, if/when you can), you WILL be "like" God... and like Christ.

There is only one Way to enter into the kingdom of the heavens, dear Zoe. Through Christ. But in addition to being chosen to rule with him there IS the doing of good to his brothers... AND looking after widows and orphans in their tribulation is certainly a fulfillment of that. And it sounds like both your daughter, now a widow for all intents and purposes, and your grandson(s)... who are definitely now fatherless... are in their own tribulation, right now.

I hope that helps, truly, and again, glad YOUR day was a memorable one for you.

As always, peace to you and to your ENTIRE household!

YSFS of Christ,

Shel, who apologizes for all the typos - using my phone and the dratted auto-correct...
