Glad to hear that everyone is having a great holiday and New year. We're getting a big snowstorm over the next couple of days, so that will at least be pretty. And I don't have to work : ) Also, like you are doing, Loz, I love to snuggle all warm inside when its miserable outside.
I love 'happy exhausted' too. You're so tired, but you feel so good, so rested inside, so accomplished, etc, whatever it is you are happy exhausted about, lol.
Zoe, you can cook moose roasts just as they are, just like a roast, and then have hot moose sandwiches the next day (and the next and the next, lol). Or you could cut it in half if it is really big, and make your stew with one half, and freeze the other half for later. Here is a slow cooker recipe, and there are a bunch more at the bottom of the page:
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/slow-cooker-moose-roast/I personally like adding montreal steak spice to venison or moose roasts, but it will make it a bit spicier (from the pepper I think). Rob hunts, so usually we have a deer or two to get us through the winter. This year, he hasn't done much hunting yet.
love and peace to you all,
your sister and servant, and a slave of Christ,
tammy
Thanks so much for the recipe link Tammy. I will use it for sure.
