Good Morning everyone!

Tammy congratulations on getting a new computer, to me that is one of the greatest joys I have experienced over the years is a brand new computer. Enjoy!

We here have been plunged into winter suddenly. It has gone super cold and the wind yesterday was awful, I thought the house was going to blow apart as some gusts hit us hard. It was coming straight at us from the Lake which is directly in front of us. Our area got hit really bad, it snowed all day Sunday and Monday and we didn't see a snow plough until yesterday morning. Thankfully they came at last because I had a appointment at the hospital pain clinic. It was Cold and so windy all day but the sun was shining. Then unexpectedly early last night a blizzard happened and poor John was at work on afternoon shift. They pulled the ploughs off the road deeming it too dangerous for them to drive around?? Never heard of that before. I guess the wind made the snow blow around so much that there was extreme whiteouts. I was so nervous for John driving home at Midnight, but his company wouldn't let him go home early despite the dangerous conditions. He made it though it took him an hour instead of the usual 20 minutes. We live far out into the country with long stretches of road with nothing but farmers fields. He said the only good news was that there was no other cars out so he could manage driving sideways and spinning out better LOL. He was indeed a nervous wreck for 2 hours after and couldn't sleep.

Today its cold but the wind is gone, its 10 degrees F, that is unheard of here in southern Ontario, this is January weather. UGH, I hate winter.

The forecast is for cold weather and snow again tonight but none again until Saturday. Lets hope so since John's Mom died Monday morning and he has to go the viewing tomorrow night and the funeral and burial on Friday, then a reception dinner for her after. His company gave him 3 days paid bereavement leave so today he is gathering his thoughts and giving himself time to mourn her. She was 94 years old and will leave a big hole in his family as she was the only one that loved him unconditionally besides his Father who is long gone.

I went to the pain clinic yesterday and had another steroid injection and today I am suffering bad. They don't work for me for pain :-( Today my tailbone hurts so bad that I can's sit, I can't stand and I can't walk without shooting pains and numbness. The 2 injections areas feel like someone stabbed me and as I said my tailbone hurts this time too so if I move even slightly vibrating pain go all through me. I sure hope it goes away as I am in such bad shape as it is and I didn't need more pain and lack of mobility. grrrrrrr

That's my week so far.

Happy Wednesday everyone.

I hate winter too, and ours are mild by comparison. I'm so sorry to hear about your pain Zoe, I hope it eases up soon. I also hope John manages to get through the sadness he faces due to bereavement.

Oh, Zoe, I'm so sorry about that pain again. Did you feel better in between the shots at least, after the initial pain at the injection site went away?

I hear you on how much fun a new computer is though. I got office Word back, yAY! I could not get it on the mac, because my mac could no longer update for some reason. Just part of its old-age symptoms I guess. So I couldn't update things or get anything new. But now i have it on this pc.

I actually dreamed about my first book (not published) the night before last (maybe because getting Office Word made me think about writing). I even became alert in my dream, just enough to recognize that I was dreaming my book just as if I was watching a movie. In my 'sleep', I said/thought "cool", and just continued 'watching'.The odd thing was that it was my book, setting, world, etc... but from a different pov. Not one that is represented in the book. I didn't realize that until after I woke up.

Glad John made it home safe during that blizzard, Zoe. Hope things ease up a bit for you guys there. We are having a mild week (in comparison to the week before, not in comparison to San Fran, lol).

Peace to you, and to you all,
your sister and servant, and a slave of Christ,
tammy

Is that mr. bean in that gif, Outlaw?

I think I've seen it before in a movie, but can't remember.

In any case, yes, hope all of you in the States have a good thanksgiving.

Super snowstorm here, and I am enjoying it. It helps that I have not had to work today, or tomorrow, mind you. Looking outside and how high the snow is on the street and around my tires, the kids just might also get lucky tomorrow if I can't drive through it ; )

Peace all!

Well, at least *I* have declared a snow day. The schools never close. They're not allowed to close. But I am not driving. So we all get a snow day, to shovel the snow later this afternoon ; )

Peace!

HAPPY DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL!!!! We do not have Thanksgiving this month, ours was 6 weeks go.

HAPPY BLACK FRIDAY!! Canada has adopted that tradition now even though we don't celebrate Thanksgiving in November. I am staying away from the stores today. Yesterday John went shopping, I stayed home. He went to one of our stores in town (Canadian Tire) to buy me a Bamboo cutting board that was on for $8.00, OMG its regular over $60.00, They had Red Thursday sales which is the day before Black Friday LOL He said it was a zoo, with women fighting over everything. Not for me and he was cursing I sent him. LOL I had no idea it would be that bad.

Black Friday has now arrived in the UK. There was fighting in the streets and lots of arrests in many places. Craziness!
