I could be wrong but not sure if you meant the photos to be showing the crawl space, dear Ataloa (peace, luv!). They're not; those are of the "basement". I realize how "confusing" this might all sound, so maybe some more pics will help:

The crawl space is accessed through a small door just past the water heater in the laundry room (which is on the same level as the office). The office and laundry are about four feet lower than the main floor and the crawl space is under the main floor. These are the steps leading from the office/laundry level up TO the main floor:

So it's high enough under there so's I can sit up straight (as can someone taller) but I have to crawl until I get to where I want to be. It's LIGHTED under there, too, though - just flip the switch right inside the little door... and wahhhhhhh! Between the light bulb and sunlight through the vents, it's actually pretty visible under there.

So, it's really not all that bad. Not really... although it's not necessarily my FAVORITE place in the house, either - LOLOL!

Peace... and hope ya'll enjoyed the mini-tour through this part of my house!

Shellamar, on her own...

Hey, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, dear 'Mom (peace!), right? I had'ta crawl under the house... 'cause I wasn't giving no cable man my new shoes! LOLOLOL! Well, okay, a night at Shaboom... either way, wasn't giving up $60/hour just to avoid some dust, girl!

Okay then.....

Maybe if you train me, this could be a future career for us!

" Handy chicks with duct tape." ::))

LOLOLOL! Ummmm... no. Now, if you wanna look into that catering thing we just did (we had a BLAST didn't we? I can't WAIT for the pics to come back!)... THAT I might consider! Then I won't hafta train ya! LOLOLOL!

Peace!

OK gurl, I think I get it now, when you say crawlspace, I'm picturing you actually crawling on your belly under the house, but you mention there is a door that leads to the space, so I guess there's a bit more room than I thought.

A four-foot crawl space is very generous. The first time I had to go underneath a house many years ago, there was not room to crawl. You had to kind of slither under on your back and you could only move your arms from the elbow up - it felt like being in a coffin; plus insulation was falling in your face the whole time. Very scary and miserable.

Yes Loz, that office does look very 'homely'. heehee. A boy that was trying to court me once called me 'homely'. (He meant that I liked to stay home a lot).

That really is one of the most attractive offices I've seen Shelby.

I love your new office space Shelby, very cosy and functional and you have a tv there too.

I lost my office when I moved last month and my tv in the office. Now I have my computer on the diningroom table next to the kitchen. I have to wait for my Handyman to go in the crawlspace and string some cable so I can get my little tv back again. I love watching talk shows in the morning.

We do have a little office in this new house but John took it for himself, its a man cave now and its not practical for me anyway, its at the far end of the house and way to much walking for me lol. The dog won't go in the den/office now either because there is hardwood floor down that way and he hates walking on it, thinks he will slip, he is a carpet dog.

LOLOLOL! My dogs are "carpet" dogs, too, dear Zoe (mornin' and peace, luv!)... and so they are LOVIN' the office 'cause it's wall to wall down there! Louie and Liyah have acclimated for the most part to having hardwood floors all over - they've never known full carpeting in their lives. Layla, on the other hand, must have come from a carpeted home because she will RUN to carpet whenever she can! Both she and Louie like to crawl around on their bellies on it.

Our crawl space is generous, dear Miz Shirl and Ataloa (mornin' and peace to you, both!) but due to the heating ducts I do have to crawl... literally... in many spots (to get under them to the other side). If the truth be told, I AM (very) claustrophobic but there is so my air circulating under there that if I don't think about it I can get in, do what I gotta do then get out. Funny how saving money/time can help one control one's phobia's, right? LOLOLOL! I mean, the issue was "$60/hour... or suck it up?" I sucked it up! LOLOLOL!

And yeah, the TV is a SUPER plus! Can't tell how enjoyable doing laundry is NOW! LOLOLOL!

Glad ya'll like my office! I LOVE it!

Peace!

Well, it's been awhile since I've visited THIS thread (peace to you, all!), but I'm tired... and didn't wanna just click off without giving you ALL a good night greeting!

May the undeserved kindness and mercy of MY Father, the MOST HOLY One of Israel, JAH of Armies... and the love and PEACE of His Son, my Lord, Master, King, and Savior... the HOLY One of Israel, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH and His Holy Spirit... be upon you ALL... and upon your households... to time indefinite... if you so wish it!

Peace to you ALL!

YOUR servant, as I am servant to ALL those of the Household of God, Israel, and those who go with... and a slave of Christ,

Shellamar
