Hi Loz, I read it awhile ago, I guess I need to refresh my memory about it again though. A historical fiction story told in the voice of Dinah, Jacob's daughter. I found it interesting but not excellent.

What did you think of it?

Yes, I enjoyed it. Although a novel I thought it was well researched.

I've heard of that book, Loz. Haven't read it though.

I used to think that Jacob was wrong when he 'rebuked' his sons for what they did. Recently I understood from my Lord that what Jacob said was right... because his sons had made a deal (a verbal covenant) with another people, and then they reneged on their part, breaking their word.


It is finally cool here, yay! The heat 'broke' yesterday and now we are more in fall weather, which suits me just fine. My son too, who has been feeling under the weather, with a three day headache... now gone. I think a lot of that for him was the heat.

Going to be at the (indoor) waterpark with most of the boys today. My parents left today, and my teenage cousins will be here for two more days, then they are going home. Hubby is gone up north for work for a couple of weeks. It is going to be QUIET around here in a couple of days, lol.

The book would agree with that Tammy. Definitely worth a read IMO. If only to gain insights in the lives of women in some of those tribes.

A Jehovah's Witnesses came to the door a few minutes ago and handed out the JW.org pamphlet. As usual I missed talking to them as John answered the door. It takes me ages to walk to the door so he is only trying to help.
He yelled at her and threw the tract in her face. He blew my cover if I ever did want to talk to them if I could get to the door before him. He told her his wife is an ex JW. She snootily ( he said that was her attitude) said oh that's to bad for her. He retorted, no it's not to bad for her, she knows the "Truth" now that you guys are not Truth. Then he closed the door.

I have told him half a dozen times not to yell at them and be rude because I want a chance to talk to them without them knowing I know about their cult. No chance now lol, I am sure we are on their no call list now.

That may not have gone over very well with John. He sees what they have done to you and doesn't like it. He doesn't know what you have come to know and how approaching them a little differently might help. But don't worry, when the opportunity comes and our Lord calls upon you to speak about HIM, he will make the way for you. Until then, just continue to try and listen to what he is showing YOU and he will take care of the rest.

Yes JustMom you are right. Plus what good does it do to talk to them most times anyway. They don't listen, they know it all and don't want to hear what you say.
John gets all excited and passionate about telling them off. He saw what they did with my Mom, conning her into signing over her money to them and dis inheriting her grandchildren. He saw how they treated my Mom when she got sick and helpless plus he knows what I have told him of their hypocrisy. He just can't contain himself lol

Yeah, John probably just saved you the frustration : )
