Yes Loz,

That does sound hard to pass up. Like mentioned, you have hubby with you. Never know when the opportunity may come back.

If you don't love it, your only obligated for a year. That goes by fast.

Whatever you choose!
Sounds like an adventure !!!

Happy for you
Love Justmom

you are living a paid vacation

Okkaayyyyy?? (Peace to you, all!)

Also, one concern you had before was that perhaps you were being sent to your assignment for a certain person's benefit. And I'm not sure that that wasn't the case. That you didn't stay LONG means... what? Our job is merely to plant or perhaps water seeds, yes? So, maybe you planted one... or maybe you watered one. How long did Philip stay with the Ethiopian eunuch? Peter with Cornelius? Priscilla and Aquila with Apollo? And so on and so on. Could be that you only needed to be where you were for a brief moment... to plant, water... or maybe expose someone's (true) heart/spirit. Who knows (did I say that?? LOLOLOL!)?

Now, perhaps there's another... or others... that you will need to be in contact with... and for a longer period of time.

Let me share something with you... all... that you might not have stopped to consider:

Our dear Lord grants entry into the kingdom to those who "do good" to even the least ones of his brothers. And those who DON'T do good to such... are eternally cut off (from entry, so as to NOT be able to get to the "Tree" of Life and eat... and live FOREVER, like those who DO go in).

By what means do these even have ACCESS to such brothers... unless WE are sometimes sent to go among THEM (which, as some of you know, is why I must still attend the JW Memorial - to give these access to "Christ").

We are talking about the "Far East"... where, we all know... "missionaries" have abounded for decades, if not centuries... but maybe NOW there is a difference, given the tenets of the government(s). MAYBE there needs to be a NEW kind of "seed" planted there... or maybe there is a need for a bit of "watering."

Or... maybe it IS just a "working vacation." But you'll never know if you don't go. NOT that I'm saying you should/must, not at all. YOU lovebirds have to decide. If you decide TO go, however... take alone a little faith, girl. Just the size of a mustard seed. 'Cause you never know what'll "grow" from THAT.

Peace... and happy contemplating time to you, both!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shellamar, whose recent jaunt to Ethiopia showed HER what it TRULY means to "follow the Lamb... WHEREVER... HE goes" or sends you! LOLOLOL!

Interestingly the Contract of Employment stipulates:

"Party B shall respect China's religious policies, and shall not conduct any religious activities incompatible with his/her status as a foreign expert."

Thens'a good thing we don't:

1. Belong to or push [a] religion
2. Hand out religious materials
3. Go "door to door," etc. to "make disciples"
4. Have meetings/assemblies/conventions
5. Tout/hold up/or conduct "Bible studies"
6. Or otherwise "conduct any religious activities incompatible with his/her status as a foreign expert"...

... then, right, dear Loz (mornin' and peace, luv!)? LOLOLOL!

Christianity isn't what we DO; christians are what we ARE. A Jew (by blood) cannot stop being a Jew simply because someone has something "against" Judaism - doesn't mean he's one religiously (as some are not). So, one can only BE what one IS.

In that light, nothin' wrong with answering folks' questions... TRUTHFULLY, though... if/when THEY ask as TO what one "is"... and explaining why and how that is? Because perhaps our answers might "plant" the seed that leads one to wonder and perhaps ask MORE... and so seek God/Christ... and not our pushing to "make" one a disciple?

And we can certainly say, if asked (including by authorities), that we DON'T belong to, ascribe to, push, or follow ANY religion... nor do we EVER wish/want/or push others to... because that is the TRUTH: we DON'T. Either.

Faith, dear one. If it's JAH's will... then it will go as it should. If we follow Christ's leading, of course... and not our own hearts!

Please know, I am not trying to persuade or pressure you, dear, dear Loz, not at all. Just putting some things out there for you to think about/consider. In the end, you must make your decision with dear hubby... and whatEVER you dear ones decide is for YOU and you alone to decide. Please don't read this as a "Well, here's what you SHOULD do, Loz!" because that is NOT the intent at all. Only if you're thinking "Why MIGHT we go? How could there be any connection to JAH/Christ?"... then these things might help... mmmmmmmm... "calm" your fears about being in a foreign land for a bit. That's all!

Peace... and may your decision be an easy one, whatever you choose!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shellamar

I absolutely agree Shel. And I'm not feeling any pressure whatsoever, I have been very appreciative of all the input. It's given me much to think about. If all practical issues can be resolved I am very keen to go to be honest. A wonderful opportunity for us. And I'm sure we are all used wherever we find ourselves if we are willing to be.

Loz x
I shared the extract from the contract btw because it really surprised me. Of course it is a communist country, so ...

Good morning everyone!

Happy " hump day"!

It is gloomy and foggy but it will still be a great day!

Off to work in a bit. Been working a few lunch shifts and dinner shifts to get it down. My body got rusty this past year. Need to get it back n shape running around. It's my exercise since I'm not a gym kind of girl anymore LOL!

Enjoy your day
Love Justmom /:)

UGH... I mean, YAAAYYYYY, dear tec (mornin' and peace, luv!). I like to look at snow. Maybe walk a few steps in it. But live in it, travel in it... shovel it? No. I'm ticked off it's even cloudy HERE.

Peace!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shellamar, a true "California" girl!

We have a snow-blower this year : )

That should cut back on the shoveling. Son is also 15 this year, and claims to be stronger than me (he is taller now). That should cut back on MY shoveling... of the steps at least, while the snowblower gets the rest ; ) Got to put his money where his mouth is, I think, lol.

Peace,
tammy

OOOH! I'm feelin' like a chicken enchilada, with salsa verde, extra cheese, and frijoles for lunch (peace to you all!). Don't feel like makin' it, though (gettin' through a cold, so a little fatigued, still). Think I'll get hubby up (the cold started with him!), have him pull on some garb... and run out to lunch (close enough to walk to!).

See ya'll in a bit!

Peace!

Shellamar, on her own...
