Good morning everyone....

Thanksgiving huh????
Didn't know that it came so early compared to ours here. It is the end of November for us.
Yesterday for us was Columbus Day, and I really don't understand why it's still an official holiday.
Ooh well, enjoy your turkey breakfast.

And good morning to you Loz. Hope you and hubby are well.

Love to you all
Justmom /:)

Morning everyone

Thanksgiving is finished for this year and a lot of birthdays at the same time. It was a nice weekend though. Now back to normal boring again.

Thank you for your good wishes JM, we are ok except that I haven't been so physically well these past few weeks. It just seems to be one thing after another...this week I have a tummy bug. Hopefully I'll be feeling back to normal soon.

Sorry to hear this Loz. Hoping that bug is passing fast. We've been pretty well I must say. But the weather is still warm. Cold weather brings on " colds and allergies for us" we'll see how this year goes!

Enjoy your day, just wanted to say good morning to you and EVERYONE!
Trying to catch up on some school work. Gonna go on campus as our computer is slow and a little out dated LOL!!!

Love y'all

Hi and Good Afternoon everyone!!
I just got back from the hospital, had a MRI done today. What a uncomfortable ordeal that was, I was in that tube for 1 1/2 hours. Glad that's over with, now to find out what is making me have so much pain.

Loz I hope you feel better soon.

Oooh, I have to do an "open" MRI, dear Zoe (peace to you, luv... and hope the ordeal wasn't TOO traumatic!). I am just too claustraphobic. Learned this (as to "closed" MRIs) some time ago when after 5 attempts (and LOTS of Benadryl), I just couldn't do it. Even with the drugs, I would have panic attacks that "something" (an earthquake!) would happen while I was in that thing... and everyone would run out (to save themselves/see what was going on)... and "forget" I was in there! LOLOLOL! And once you're in... you pretty much can't get out (by yourself). Not even if you scooch!

I shudder just thinking about those things. And you were in 1-1/2 hours?? You are MY hero today, girl!

Truly hope they get to the bottom of your issue soon and that you don't have to do THAT again!

Peace!

Your servant and a slave of Christ,

Shellamar

I am slightly claustrophobic so I just had them put a facecloth over my eyes so I don't look at where I am LOL.
This is a brand new MRI machine but it was still not a open one. The only thing was that you can't move much so I was getting very numb from laying on that hard table for so long. My head was kind of harnessed in too so I wouldn't move it. I don't envy you Shelby if you have that much fear in it...they sure are a great invention.

They ARE a great invention, dear Zoe (peace, luv!)... and the OPEN ones are even GREATER! LOLOLOL! But this, girl:

No, you just can't do that to a tried-and-true claustrophobic, girl. Uh-uh, nope, no way! Not enough drugs... or a good enough face cloth... in the WORLD! Shoot, I didn't tell ya'll about my daughter's and my escapade on the "Submarine" ride at DisneyLand?? Girl, we tried to STOP the dang ride!! LOLOLOL! Only thing that save us was (1) I had brought some mini fans ('cause it was SO hot!)... which "saved" my daughter... and (2) I was so busy trying to keep HER from passing out, I couldn't focus on myself! The rider guide gave us a disgusting look (when we asked them to stop the ride so's we could get off... AFTER the thing submerged - LOLOL!) and was like, "Really? Uh, no - we don't stop the ride."

Afterward, when we told my son (who is also claustrophobic) what happened, he was, like, "Really, mom? What the h*ll were you two THINKING??!! Ya'll KNOW we're claustrophobic! I don't understand why you idjits got on the ride in the first place!!" (He was emphatic... because we were really "worn out" when we got off. Green (in the gills) as grass, both of us! LOLOL!). Of course, he was right.

To this day, neither my daughter nor I can explain why we got on that ride. Particularly given the SIGNS AT THE ENTRY that SAID... wait for it:

"If you're claustrophobic, do NOT get on this ride."

In big black letters, too! LOLOLOLOL! Somehow, we strolled right on past that sign and never saw it! Can you say... dooooo-ohhh?!

Won't EVER happen again, though! I think even if WE miss another sign, my husband, son, stepson, and "nephews" (dear 'Mom's sons who were with)... would be like, "Uh-uh, NO! Step OUT of the line!"

LOLOLOLOL!

Yeah, still shake my head over that one!

Peace, luv!

Shellamar, on her own...

LOL!!!!

But ya forgot to share that you are scared of heights as well....

And jumped outta the log at the top of " splash mountain" at Disneyland.
I still remember the attendant at the top that watches everyone for safety and the camera that takes that famous splash shot at the top...
He must have thought you were crazy as hell, lol!!, no one gets out at this point in the ride!

I looked back and you was GONE!!! Met us at the bottom. It was so funny at the time. But I apologize I never realized it that scary to you.

Wow!!

Now that we know all the things us ladies don't and can't do....we don't take those kinda chances anymore. /:)

Have a lovely day,
Love Justmom

Although, the Orlando Bloom character wasn't bad, either - LOLOL!

Peace, girl... and next time maybe we'll stick to "It's A Small World" or sumthin' - LOLOL!

MRI machines are definitely not for the claustrophobic person, I guess I am not really that way because I can zone out if I can't see.

Now heights and that log ride at Disneyland, Yup that is something I do not ever want to do again, that is the worst feeling in the world, falling with no control and the big butterflies in your stomach. I did it twice but never again. The first time I was with my little children and had to cope, The 2nd time I threw my husbands t-shirt over my head so I couldn't see and then we didn't get to buy the photo because my husband was "topless" (not allowed at family parks lol). I really fear heights and even with a ledge in front of me can't bring myself to lean over to look below from high buildings. I won't go on ferris wheels either anymore, did that once and was totally terrified, again just closed my eyes and kept them closed until the ride ended.

I hear ya ZOE and good morning.

Although none of these things ever used to bother me, I'm findng these day I'm not as venturous as I used to be. Either more cowardly or just realistic as I fear breaking, pulling, twisting, cracking is not a friend of mine anymore. Takes too long to rebound if you do at all! :8O

Enjoy your day
Love Justmom
