Peace to you!

Okay, so I have only watched the first part of this miniseries... but it is worth watching. "Childhood's End". I guess it is based on the book by Robert C Clarke, which I am interested in reading now, just to see where his 'imagination' carried him. It is about an 'alien' race coming to earth to help us, to clean the planet up, help stop war, disease, etc, etc, but they do not reveal themselves (their appearance) until many years later.

Its... ah... worth watching. I have no idea how episode 2 and 3 are (haven't watched them yet), but the first one, well, lets just say I found it to be a good opportunity to share a little truth with hubby. Then he went ahead and watched the next two episodes when I wasn't home, lol, and I couldn't continue the discussion with him.

In any case, the series is called Childhood's End, and the first episode is called the Overlords.

Peace,
your sister and servant, and a fellow slave of Christ,
tammy

I started watching it, I have all 3 2 hour episodes. It is pretty good and certainly addresses the issues of mankind right now but I found the overlord looking like a red horned devil a bit cliche LOL

I can't find a book written about this series?? The only thing I see This Robert C. Clarke wrote was this.
Cannabis: Evolution and EthnobotanySep 1 2013
by Robert C. Clarke and Mark D. Merlin

Do you have a name for the book?

I watched the series.
Just another "aliens are what brought us religion/belief in God" thing.
It is well done though.

The end is, well, typical of atheist writing that is trying to make a statement against religion but in reality is making a statement against God.
It will affect people in different ways of course.
