My little buddy needs to go to the vet.
Pets + Vets = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Which I`m not crazy about.

He doesnt like truck rides, he`ll complain the entire trip.
He won`t like "WHY" he went for a truck ride...LOL!!

So he has a choice.
A Ride to the Vet...OR...

A Ride to the Kitty Glue Factory!

Hey Shelby!

He had his Vet apt. yesterday.
It`s a long way from the mountains to town and Mr.T complained the entire way.
There and back!..LOL!!

He had a physical check up, 2 blood tests.
Spent most of the day with unfamiliar people, in an unfamiliar environment.
(The Dr. and staff at the clinic are awesome)
It took its toll, the little guy is wiped out and still sleeping.

He has Hyperthyroidism and Infected Kidneys (caused by the hyperthyroidism).
So now he gets 2 kinds of meds by syringe, every 12 hours...Dr. OUTLAW...LOL!!
I hope this turns him around.
He gets another check up and blood test next month.
Total "Bill" so far: $426.93

You know how many cats I could buy for $426.93?
426 cats!
I could probably get 1 more for 93 cents, for buying them in bulk!!...LOL!!
Ah well, he is my little buddy.

He`s 17...84 Human years.

Kitty KungFu
The Paralyzer...

TOTALLY understand, dear Sher'f (peace to you, dear friend!) and SO glad Mr. T is "okay." Our eldest fur baby, Louie, who will be 15 next month, had a major crisis about 2 months ago. I found him lying in a pool of his own urine after I asked him to move. He didn't and when I reached down to pick him up, he was soaked. Rushed him to the ER and they said he was in critical condition. Well, they kept him for 3 days (he needed to be in an oxygen cage the whole time because he was having trouble breathing. Turns out, he has pulmonary hypertension and so has to be on 2 meds 3 times a day "for life." The meds are about $183/month. The ER bill, though... started at $6,900 but (praise JaH!) ended up at $4,900 (there went the powder room remodel this year - and it needed it; the wallpaper's a'peelin' in several places!).

But... we have our dear Louie back at home and he's... thriving. I say that loosely because he had a mini crisis this morning and I thought, "Hmmm... not sure we have a lot more time." I just held him for a while and then he was like "Okay, okay, already! ENOUGH with all the cushy-cushy stuff; let me down!" LOLOLOLOL! He's a VERY independent little dog (6 lbs. that think it's 170 lbs. - LOLOLOL!).

So, I totally get it and am SO glad dear Mr. T is still here taking care of you!

Peace to you!

YSFS of Christ,

Shelb

Awwww Lou Lou.....

He’s a fighter! Little thang, but tough!

Hang in there buddy, but of course we don’t want any of our fur babies to suffer in a lot of pain.

Have a good day everyone and peace to you all and your households,

Kim

Peace to you all!

Outlaw, I'm so glad your little one is doing better. Sleeping and recovering, but at least getting the meds needed. My Abby is only a year and a half now, but if I take her in the car, she yowls also. I've tried putting her cat carrier in the backseat, the frontseat, on the floor, it doesn't matter. I talk to her the whole way though. When I brought her home from the adoption agency, she was only about 10 weeks, and she yowled the whole time then as well. She does not like car rides. Lately, she has taken to following me around and nipping my calves when I am not giving her enough attention and she wants to play.

Shelby, poor Louie; I'm glad you were able to get him treated, and that he is well enough to be done 'with the fussin' and the cuddlin', lol. Tough little guy.

Fur-babies. Gotta love 'em so much, and they bring so much love and humor and laughs and comfort to us.

Peace and love to you all!

They DO, dear Tams (peace to you, luvee!).

How's Mr. T doing, dear Sher'f (peace to you, my dear friend!)? Much better, I hope.

Full week, this past. Lots to do at work... dear Hubs has to go to ER on Thursday for kidney stone... went to see kids on Saturday for grad ceremony viewing (DIL graduated with Masters)... found out I'mma be a grandma in December (son and DIL got married on 1/30/2021, so they're 7 weeks!!)...

Anddddddddd... almost ran over this on my way home from work last Wednesday:

Image

Yeah, I know. I have put signs up around the neighborhood where I found her (she had on a nice little coat and a collar with a bow, and although both were a bit dirty, SOMEONE apparently loves... and hopefully misses... her!). She's a sweetie - came right to me when I got out the car - she was pretty scared.

Dear Hubs is at the shelter having her checked out and we are going to foster her until her owner picks her up, if that happens (oh, please, let it happen - I know how I would feel if one of mine didn't come home!). If not... yeah... she's staying with us. She's actually gotten along with ALL of the pups except that she's in heat (hence, the diaper) and so drives everyone crazy from time to time.

The 2 males, albeit fixed, go out of their brains from time to time trying to "service" her but they "got nuthin'" AND the didee's in the way so Jaxon gets discouraged and poor Louie... well, she's about to kill HIM with his condition (OMG, the wheezing! We're TRYING to keep them away from each other so that she DOESN'T kill him - LOLOLOL!)... so they run and hide from her when she gets overbearing (she keeps trying to "show" them HOW to service her - "Wait, wait, lemme show you! See, THIS is how you do it - like THIS!!" then turns around for them. It's HILARIOUS, especially with the perplexed looks on both hers and the males' faces - LOLOLOL!). The females are ALL like, "Ummmmm, no. Not a chance, sistah. S'okay you up in here (should'a know'd she'd bring another biatch up in here) but you get on away from me 'wit alla THAT and quicklike!"

Otherwise, she fit right in! I truly hope her own claims her because we really are already a full house (o' pups). Praise JaH and Christ they're all small. She's the lightest in weight and she's at least 4-5, maybe even older, so she's house trained and everything. But she seems really underweight (but she just may be petite, I dunno - I'll see what Hubs says the shelter says about that).

We call her "Luna" (she responds to "Puppy" but we have a "Pup-Pup" (Lily). I think, though, it will be "Livia" (for Olivia Hussey) because she has been ONE hot little hussy these past few days!

Weather is nice today. Hope it is where all of you are.

Peace to you ALL!

Your servant, sister, and a slave of Christ,

Shelb

JaH and Christ are GOOD! The dog's owner JUST called (she saw one of our signs)!! And you dear ones will NOT believe the puppy's name: LUNA!!!!!!!!! No WONDER she answered when I called her that - LOLOLOLOLOL!

We are making arrangements now to get her back to her beloved owner (we have to coordinate with the shelter). But Miss Luna should be home and back with her family tonight!

PRAISE JAH and CHRIST!!!

I am OVERJOYED!!!!

Mr.T was doing a lot better, before I took him to the vet
After the vet, he wasn`t doing so well.
He lasted 2 more days.
I think the stress from the vet clinic finished him off.

Wait... WHAT??

I had to read that FIVE times to even grasp what you were saying, dear, dear Sher'f (peace to and my heart BREAKS for you)!!!

That is VERY sad news; Mr. T was a great companion and I know you miss him!

That is too bad, too sad. I hate that this has happened... even though I know life "happens."

Please take GOOD care you, Sher'f, my dear friend -

Peace to you and may JaH and Christ bless and keep you, BOTH!

YSFS of Christ,

Shelb

Ooh dear Sheriff I too am so so sorry for your loss!

I’m so glad you had your buddy/companion all these years. Good times and memories for you. Hold on to them and smile whenever you think of him after the sadness fades. It has helped us with our fur babies we have lost over the years.

Take care and may Jah and Christ comfort you especially now.

I took him with me to the Holiday Inn..LOL!!
Mr.Spoiled loved it, sprawled out on my King Size bed..LOL!!
Lots of good memories.

Hey Shelby...
Ya I miss him, he was a smart little guy.
He was all over BC with me, he adapted no matter where we went.
He`s got a nice resting place right by the creek, under a huge tree.
Thanks...

Thanks JM...
He was a great little friend.
