Shelby I am watching this fantastic 4 part show by Joanna Lumley about her 2010 tour of the Nile from Egypt down to the bottom. Its fabulous but I thought you might like this part of the video of her Ethiopia part of the trip. You can see the entire trip on Youtube, well worth watching and very historic.

Thank you for that, dear, dear Zoe (peace to you, luv!). The hostess' words were
dead on. I truly miss that land and hope to return and visit hhe friends we made while there, if possible. Both dear 'Mom (peace luv!) are in regular contact with dear Mebrahtu! We went during the dry season, but it was still wonderful. From the video, the wet season looked spectacular.

We tend to think everyone wants to LEAVE the countries of Africa. Some do, of course. But if you ask most, they will tell you that they LOVE their country/continent. Shoot, most of the folks WE met have never heard of "California"... let alone "San Francisco." Yet, they didn't think they were missing a thing. To the contrary, they considered themselves blessed!
