it was at St. Andrews church. They are episcopalian and have a fairy-tale looking chapel with lots of stained glass. I once attended a wedding there and it was something. One thing that I thought was nice was that they didn't restrict "partaking" to members of their sect. When I went to the wedding I didn't expect this, but I've glad to experience a full high-church mass -- even though the choruses tended to go on and on. :-)

I dropped in today to see a friend. While there I decided to check out their book sale. I found so many interesting books that I wanted to read. I even spotted a couple of JW study books, which I thought was funny to see in a rival church. While looking I expressed a small desire to find a book that I wasn't expecting, but would be just what I needed. A very plain looking blue book caught my attention.

I carried my finds up to the counter to pay. I thought that all the books were a quarter each, but I was mistaken. They were priced on the inside cover. One was $2 by itself. I'm poor right now because I'm a freelance writer and starving novelist. :-) The little church lady looked at the price and said, "this can't be right".

I said, "I hope not. I really would like to read them but I don't have much money."

She said she had been working the book fair for four years and it was time to make an "executive decision". She ended up giving me the whole stack for $2.

I am so appreciative.
