Post subject:  Praise JAH!

Good morning and Peace to you ALL today,

Whenever I am directed to read this, my heart rejoices in me. After all, why wouldn't it when we come to know just how great JAHs mercy and love IS towards US.

There is so much to glean here and I know you all will find verses that resound within you.

One thing that is a huge confusion for me is when certain folks ask "Why should I love God, or If God truly loves me, prove it!"

In talking with a dear one yesterday (peace to you) about just how much we are loved, my question would be to those above is this...." Why WOULDNT YOU LOVE JAH?" He has already proven His Love by giving his greatest gift and making the biggest sacrifice for this world.

HIS SON!

And when our Lord and master walked the earth he shared this...

JOHN 12:47...

" For I came NOT to judge the world, but to SAVE the world."

Truly something we would want to Praise JAH and Christ for. Truly something that is good news for the world. And so when JAH tells us to... " Listen TO...and obey the one HE SENT to save the world"...

Wouldn't love for them move us to truly try our best? At least?

Truly deserving our praise!!!

May any who wish to hear be given ears to hear the spirit and the bride say, "COME!" And anyone truly thirsting for Truth which IS Christ, "COME!" Take lifeswater which is Holy Spirit from our Lord who is that glorified Spirit for FREE!!!

I know many already know this, I just wanted to share how encouraged and thankful I am today!

Love, your sister fellow servant and slave of Christ,
Kim

Enjoy...
Psalms 145 I will exalt you, O my God the King,+
I will praise your name forever and ever.+
2 All day long I will praise you;+
I will praise your name forever and ever.+
3 Jehovah is great and most worthy of praise;+
His greatness is unsearchable.*+
4 Generation after generation will praise your works;
They will tell about your mighty acts.+
5 Of the glorious splendor of your majesty they will speak+
And on your wonderful works I will meditate.
6 They will speak about your awe-inspiring deeds,*
And I will declare your greatness.
7 They will bubble over as they recall your abundant goodness,+
And they will shout joyfully because of your righteousness.+
8 Jehovah is compassionate* and merciful,+
Slow to anger and great in loyal love.+
9 Jehovah is good to all,+
And his mercy is evident in all his works.

10 All your works will glorify you, O Jehovah,+
And your loyal ones will praise you.+
11 They will proclaim the glory of your kingship+
And speak about your mightiness,+
12 To make known to men your mighty acts+
And the glorious splendor of your kingship.+
13 Your kingship is an eternal kingship,
And your dominion endures throughout all generations.+
14 Jehovah supports all who are falling
And raises up all who are bowed down.
15 All eyes look hopefully to you;
You give them their food in its season.
16 You open your hand
And satisfy the desire of every living thing.+
17 Jehovah is righteous in all his ways+
And loyal in all that he does.+[i]
18 Jehovah is near to all those calling on him,
To all who call on him in truth.

19 He satisfies the desire of those who fear him;+
He hears their cry for help, and he rescues them.+
20 Jehovah guards all those who love him,+
But all the wicked he will annihilate.+
21 My mouth will declare the praise of Jehovah;+
Let every living thing* praise his holy name forever and ever.+

146 Praise Jah!*+
Let my whole being* praise Jehovah.+
2 I will praise Jehovah all my life.
I will sing praises* to my God as long as I live.
3 Do not put your trust in princes*
Nor in a son of man, who cannot bring salvation.+
4 His spirit* goes out, he returns to the ground;+
On that very day his thoughts perish.+
5 Happy is the one who has the God of Jacob as his helper,+
Whose hope is in Jehovah his God,+
6 The Maker of heaven and earth,
Of the sea, and of all that is in them,+
The One who always remains faithful,+
7 The One securing justice for those defrauded,
The One giving bread to the hungry.+
Jehovah is releasing the prisoners.*+
8 Jehovah is opening the eyes of the blind;+
Jehovah is raising up those bowed down;+
Jehovah loves the righteous.
9 Jehovah is protecting the foreign residents;
He sustains the fatherless child and the widow,+
But he thwarts the plans of the wicked.*+
10 Jehovah will be King forever,+
Your God, O Zion, for generation after generation.

Psalms 147
Praise Jah!*
It is good to sing praises* to our God;
How pleasant and fitting it is to praise him!+
2 Jehovah is building Jerusalem;+
He gathers together the dispersed ones of Israel.+
3 He heals the brokenhearted;
He binds up their wounds.
4 He counts the number of the stars;
He calls all of them by name.+
5 Our Lord is great and is mighty in power;+
His understanding is beyond measure.+
6 Jehovah raises up the meek,+
But he hurls the wicked to the ground.
7 Sing to Jehovah with thanksgiving;
Sing praises to our God, accompanied by the harp,
8 The One who covers the heavens with clouds,
The One providing rain for the earth,+
The One making grass sprout+ on the mountains.
9 To the animals he gives food,+
To the young ravens that call out for it.+
10 He does not delight in the power of the horse;+
Nor is he impressed by the strong legs of a man.+
11 Jehovah finds pleasure in those who fear him,+
In those waiting for his loyal love.+
12 Glorify Jehovah, O Jerusalem.
Praise your God, O Zion.
13 He makes the bars of your city gates strong;
He blesses your sons within you.
14 He brings peace to your territory;+
He satisfies you with the finest* wheat.+
15 He sends his command to the earth;
His word runs swiftly.
16 He sends the snow like wool;+
He scatters the frost just like ashes.+
17 He hurls down his hailstones* like morsels of bread.+
Who can withstand his cold?+
18 He sends out his word, and they melt.
He makes his wind blow,+ and the waters flow.
19 He declares his word to Jacob,
His regulations and judgments to Israel.+
20 He has not done so with any other nation;+
They know nothing about his judgments.
Praise Jah!*+

148 Praise Jah!*
Praise Jehovah from the heavens;+
Praise him in the heights.
2 Praise him, all his angels.+
Praise him, all his army.+
3 Praise him, sun and moon.
Praise him, all shining stars.+
4 Praise him, O highest heavens*
And waters above the heavens.
5 Let them praise the name of Jehovah,
For he commanded, and they were created.+
6 He keeps them established forever and ever;+
He has issued a decree that will not pass away.+
7 Praise Jehovah from the earth,
You great sea creatures and all deep waters,
8 You lightning and hail, snow and thick clouds,
You storm wind, carrying out his word,+
9 You mountains and all you hills,+
You fruit trees and all you cedars,+
10 You wild animals+ and all you domestic animals,
You creeping things and winged birds,
11 You kings of the earth and all you nations,
You princes and all you judges of the earth,+
12 You young men and young women,*
Old men and young together.*
13 Let them praise the name of Jehovah,
For his name alone is unreachably high.+
His majesty is above earth and heaven.+
14 He will exalt the strength* of his people,
For the praise of all his loyal ones,
Of the sons of Israel, the people close to him.
Praise Jah!*

149 Praise Jah!*
Sing to Jehovah a new song;+
Praise him in the congregation of the loyal ones.+
2 Let Israel rejoice in its Grand Maker;+
Let the sons of Zion be joyful in their King.
3 Let them praise his name with dancing+
And sing praises* to him, accompanied by the tambourine and the harp.+
4 For Jehovah takes pleasure in his people.+
He adorns the meek with salvation.+
5 Let the loyal ones exult in glory;
Let them shout for joy upon their beds.+
6 Let the songs praising God be in their throat,
And a two-edged sword be in their hand,
7 To execute vengeance on the nations
And punishment on the peoples,
8 To bind their kings with shackles
And their nobles with iron fetters,
9 To execute the judgment written against them.+
This honor belongs to all his loyal ones.
Praise Jah!*

150 Praise Jah!*+
Praise God in his holy place.+
Praise him in the expanse of* his strength.+
2 Praise him for his mighty works.+
Praise him for his exceeding greatness.+
3 Praise him with the sounding of the horn.+
Praise him with the stringed instrument and the harp.+
4 Praise him with the tambourine+ and the circle dance.
Praise him with strings+ and the flute.*+
5 Praise him with ringing cymbals.
Praise him with crashing cymbals.+
6 Every breathing thing—let it praise Jah

Thank you, Kim! (And peace to you!)

To add to your post...

The love is in this respect, not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a propitiatory sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 4:10

We love, because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19

Peace to you both!

And thank you both for sharing these. I read your post yesterday, Kim, and was uplifted. And what you have added to it just now, Leaving, is uplifting all over again.

God has already shown us how much He loves us; indeed, He and His Son both have shown us this. How are you not going to love someone who has given their life (or their Son) for you? Not just for you, but also for your children? So that you (and your children) may have life?

On another forum, someone (a jw) started a thread asking what people thought the rewards for the faithful would be in Paradise? I do not want to confuse the gifts that Christ and His Father give us as being the reason that we love Him. You have both written truthfully that we love Him because He loved us first.

But His gifts come also from His love for us, yes? So I'm going to share my post here also:

Quote:
The gift(s) for the faithful:

1 - The gift of eternal life.

"To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of Life, which is in the paradise of God." Rev 2:7

(a few more: John 11:25, 26; John 3:16; John 6:40; Rev 20:4-6; Rev 21:4; Rev 22:3)

2 - Reign with Christ (for the thousand years)

"To him who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations.... just as I have received authority from my Father." Rev 2:26, 27

"You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth." Rev 5:10

(see also Rev 20:6; 3:21)

3 - Be with Christ forever; be part of His Bride, the New Jerusalem; be children of God

"They will see His face and his name will be on their foreheads." Rev 22:4

After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 1Thess 4:17

(see also Rev 3:11-13)

4 - Our loved ones (our houses/households) are also be covered by Christ and will also be with us.

For example: the entire house was covered when someone placed the blood of the lamb on the doorpost; and everyone in that house was protected from the Destroyer (Death). Death passed over that house (and so everyone in that house was covered).

Rahab saved her household because of her faith. Noah saved his household because of his faith. Abraham's children received blessings because of his faith, and the promises that God made to Abraham about his children, because of his faith.

The promise is for us and our children.

Love would also ensure that our loved ones are with us.

5 - No mourning or death or crying or pain; no longer will there be any curse.

(see Rev 21:4; 22:3)

6 - The nations (including our loved ones) will be healed. Whatever pain or illness that has assailed them (physical, mental, or emotional), they will be healed. This kind of goes with point 4.

"And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations." Rev 22:2

7 - My Lord's reign will be one of mercy, of love, of truth, of peace

Love and peace to you both, and to your households; and of course to you all,
your sister and servant, and fellow slave of Christ,
tammy

Peace to you Leaving and Tammy,

YES! Beautiful sharing. I love the verses in 1 John. They loved us FIRST! They have proven the greatest love there is!

It is all on us now! Whether (or not) we want to show our Love for them by seeking The Truth and Spirit which is Christ. John 4:24. They are looking for suchlike ones!

And Tammy thank you for sharing a beautiful list of gifts that our Father Jah and Christ promises to those that are faithful. Truly UNdeserved Mercy and Love on their part.

Hoping ALL are hanging in there! Sending my love and wish for peace from our Lord to you ALL!

Love, your sister, fellow servant and slave of Christ,
Kim

Post subject:  Re: Praise JAH!

Greetings, dear 'Mom, Tams, and LQ... and peace to you, all!

I delayed responding to this post because of the "feelings" it brought up in me. Yes, I often get, I dunno... just "done"... when I hear/read someone ask "Why should I serve God/follow Christ? Why doesn't He prove HIS love for ME?" As I have shared in other posts and for many, many years... it is NOT "about" US (mankind, any of us). And so I am always like, "IDJIT - do you not GET it?? He/they ALREADY did!"

And so I have to move past my "zeal" so that I don't err in my heart. But it truly just crunches my brain, let alone my heart, when I hear this. Especially when it's someone who claims to "know" God/Christ/"Jesus" and/or be a "christian," etc., but sit around whining, moaning, bemoaning their lot in life and demanding "proof" of God's love ("If He loved me, He wouldn't have let"... such and so happen/occur. Really???! Then what was Job's account even about???? What was the point... for US? Job 1:8-12; 2:3-7). I am often reminded of Jude's words about such people... and his concluding encouragement to us. Jude 1-25 Would that every "christian" could hear... and get the sense of it!

I AM glad, though, that these words were timely and encouraging to YOU all (they were/are to me, as well - I am not sad or angry or discouraged, not at all, but I do get irritated of folks not understanding the MAGNITUDE of what was done...the FORgiveness (i.e., not just BEFORE we sinned but even before we came into the world) that occurred... on our behalf. JAH and Christ didn't need anyone to die for THEM. No blood needed to be poured out for THEM.

And so, well... ya'll know me: "fire" burning in mah soul! LOLOL!

But thank you, dear 'Mom, for posting this; again, it IS encouraging.

Peace to you, all!

Your servant, sister, and a slave of Christ,

Shel
