Greetings, peace to you, and glad you're safe, dear Sher'f!
I have mixed feelings about wildfires. I mean, they are quite frightening and can "devastate" a LOT, including people and manmade structures in its path; however, they're kind of natural, too - the earth "cleansing" old, dry trees, brush, grass, etc., so that new growth can emerge (ash can act like a fertilizer). I learned through books I read as a child, that early Native Americans would routinely "fire" the prairie and forests every few years or so (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Native_American_use_of_fire_in_ecosystems) so that healthy, new, green, grass and trees could grow and various, even delicate, ecosystems could thrive.
We all live where things such as earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, volcanoes, heat waves, cold snaps, and wildfires do their "thing." Risky business, living on this planet, especially where such things often occur (which is usually where the land is most gorgeous to one).
"Cursed" earth - may the end of THAT come - LOL!
Peace to you all and to your dear household!
Your servant, sister, and a slave of Christ,
Shel(b)
