I recently had a discussion with one who is suspicious of vaccinations. No one here (that I'm aware of). Never mind that the person their self has
had them (you HAVE to have them to travel to some countries on this planet). But one comment was that "they're putting [vaccines] in the water!" I believe that comment was followed up with "They're putting drugs in the water!" By "they," the government was meant (no mention, though, of the STOOPID PEOPLE who dispose of old/unwanted pharmaceuticals by flushing them down the toilet - YES... THEY... THOSE PEOPLE... ARE... putting drugs in the water. They should STOP it. But the government? Okay, fluoride? In some places, yes. Lead? Well, where they fail to update the water pipe infrastructure, seems so. But just dumping drugs into the water... and that is why there are so many gay, trans, and other "people" (you know, some even think black people, they're that stoopid!). Never mind that there were gay and internally trans people LONG, LONG before there were drugs of ANY of the modern kind. We SEE more non-heterosexual, or incorrectly-gendered people... because more are able to FREELY about it. Who am I to judge them or ANYONE? There is ONE who will judge ALL... except those in union with Christ: the Father (

Today, I ran across a thread on another site Quora. some of the comments of which had me ROTFL!!. As I perused, something more caught my eye: the link to a website that purports to KNOW that Dihydrogen Monoxide causes
all manner of problems,
including cancer. The website is [url]DHMO.org[/url] and purports as FACTS (well, it doesn't really, but we'll get to that shortly) that:

to sell "stuff". Y'know - "stuff" that pushes the HOAX (
http://www.dhmo.org/store.html). But that wasn't the SADDEST part of it, to me. What was SAD... is that they ADMIT they're a HOAX, yet people believe... because of them and those LIKE them... that Dihydrogen Monoxide is "bad." REAL BAD.
How can we know that they are a hoax and that they KNOW they're a hoax? Because on the HOMEPAGE... in teeny-tiny print at the bottom... is the following LEGALLY-REQUIRED disclaimer.:

Well, I'm sure ya'll all know what "content" is. It means the content/material contained in/published on the site, yes, you're absolutely RIGHT! The statements made... and most particularly those set out as "FACTS". The

implied.What does it mean that something is/is not "implied"? The term "implied" is an adjective and means that something is "
suggested."
The basic definition of the word "fact" is "a thing that is
known or proved to be
true." And so the content
veracity is NOT implied... and so NOT suggested.
What, though, is "veracity." I know, I know, most of YOU know. But after that recent conversation I can't assume EVERYONE knows. So, I will tell you: the definition of veracity is
truthfulness or
accuracy. An example of veracity is the
historical correctness of a biography; the veracity of the story. The
verifiable facts in an honest environmental report are an example of veracity. Act of
being exact and accurate.
And so, this website that someone is using to make money by scaring the pants of SO many people by IMPLYING that WATER... is BAD STUFF... STATES... ON IT FRONT PAGE... that the TRUTHFULNESS of the CONTENT
OF the website...
IS NOT implied. In other words, "WE AIN'T SAYING THESE FACTS ARE TRUE. Heck, we ain't even SUGGESTING it! WE know they're NOT and have given YOU, dear Reader, this CAVEAT so that YOU can know, TOO."
And yet... there are people running around, people without basic
chemistry KNOWLEDGE, let alone a DEGREE in the discipline... no
biology background OR knowledge to speak of... NO medical background OR knowledge to speak of... NO pharmacy background... OR knowledge... to speak of... NO UNDERGRAD DEGREE
OF ANY KIND to speak of... but KNOWING... that dihydrogen monoxide... is POISION. Because they "read about it". On the Internet. They know from the Internet
because they don't read BOOKS... and certainly not
