Just some interesting things to note in that article: this peace deal (and the others) came with specific concessions from the US to the party they want to enter into a deal with Israel, but this comes at the expense of yet another people. In this one, the US has made its declaration for Morocco having control over the entire Western Sahara, which is disputed territory. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_Sahara_conflict )

Just sounds like they're throwing another (indigenous) people under the bus in order to make their deal. You can't make peace like that, not true or lasting peace. I didn't know anything about the conflict until I read your article, and I certainly do not know everything involved, but what right does the US have to make that call for those people? No prime directive being observed here, that is for sure.

Not sure how to take that. Seems... stupid... to publicly announce a potential assassination. Doesn't make sense (although, Islamic governments don't seem to bother playing the same cat-and-mouse "no, WE didn't assassinate anyone!" game some "christian" countries do - Nope, they go right on ahead and kill whoever they think is effing with them... ).

Maybe he meant "dead" as in "not in office anymore" and so completely uneffective?

Actually, I was thinking the same - that he might have meant the 'trump-reign' or the 'trump power' is dead or something along that lines, since Trump would soon be out of office. Since the talk was translated into English, it might have been translated a bit loosely. I haven't been able to find a corroborating source for the threat, not even on the Times of Israel.

But that was in a speech to their own people on the anniversary of the Soleimani assassination, and it's not really a new announcement from Iran that those who carried out that assassination would be punished.
