Although I will no longer debate this matter, I am directed by my Lord, the HOLY One of Israel and Holy Spirit, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH (MischaJah)... who is the TRUTH (John 14:6) to SHARE the truth... as to ALL things. Including this matter. And so, I offer... to ANYONE who may be interested (and if not, please know that you are MORE than welcome to overlook this thread, withhold comment, and check out another more interesting (to you) thread - I will NOT be offended, not at ALL!):

According to the "Law of Return" (which is the basis not only for Jews the world over... but their non-Jewish children and grandchildren... to claim automatic Israeli citizenship, if desired (with limitations, if you're a criminal and/or considered dangerous)... one is NOT one is not recognized as a Jew... regardless of whether or not their mother is a Jew... IF one is a "messianic" Jew. Meaning, if one considers himself/herself to be a "christian" Jew.

According to the Law of Return, Israeli legislation passed by the Israeli Parliament on July 5, 1950, those "Jews" who chose/followed ANOTHER religion (other than Judaism) are not only not entitled to Israeli citizenship, but not even considered Jews. That position was upheld by the Supreme Court of Israel in 1989, which ruled that "Messianic Judaism constituted another religion, and that people who had become Messianic Jews were not therefore eligible for aliyah (the "act of going up" or as in progressing towards Jerusalem and is one of the most basic tenets of Zionist ideology under the law.)

Of course, that didn't sit well with such Jews, who sued, and so:

Quote:
"On April 16, 2008, the Supreme Court of Israel ruled in a case brought by a number of people with Jewish fathers and grandfathers whose applications for citizenship had been rejected on the grounds that they were Messianic Jews. The argument was made by the applicants that they had never been Jews according to halakha, and were not therefore excluded by the conversion clause. They immigrate as the non-Jewish relative of a Jew and not as a Jew. This argument was upheld in the ruling, and the government agreed to reprocess their applications."

Anyone interested can find accurate information as to the Law of Return at any of the links here:

https://www.google.com/search?q=law+of+ ... 0&ie=UTF-8

What is just as interesting to ME is the following information from Focus Migration, "an information service that offers up-to-date figures, data and analysis on immigration, migration, asylum and integration issues. The service consists of three core products: country profiles, policy briefs and the “Migration und Bevölkerung” newsletter (in German only)." Regarding their country profiles, the website states:

Quote:
"Country profiles provide information on migration, refugee flows and integration in different countries - covering countries of immigration and emigration in Europe and world-wide. The profiles include information on:

Data and statistics
Historical background
Legislation and policy
Current public debates

In addition, they offer further tips on reading and internet links, giving readers the chance to gain more indepth knowledge on the country in question."

One can find (if one is interested) in the country profile for Israel here:

http://www.bpb.de/gesellschaft/migratio ... 392/israel

MOST interesting (to ME, at least), is this information, addressing the historical development of Jewish migration:

Quote:
Before the founding of the state

Jews have been migrating to Palestine since the early 1880s and the emergence of the Zionist movement. Five waves of immigration (aliyah, plural: aliyoth) are generally identified for the time leading up to the founding of the state in 1948.

The first aliyah, between 1882 and 1903, comprised about 25,000 mostly Russian and Romanian Jews and was, not least, a reaction to a series of anti-Semitic pogroms in southern Russia. It led to the first major towns and agricultural holdings in an area that had hitherto been relatively sparsely populated and economically poorly developed. Between 1904 and 1914 a further 40,000 Jews came to Palestine. This group predominantly consisted of members of the "Zionist Workers" in Russia who were dissatisfied with the slow pace of social reform and who had likewise become victims of anti-Semitic attacks as a consequence of the 1905 revolution. The third aliyah, between 1919 and 1923, was made up of a further 35,000 immigrants, approximately, predominantly from Poland and Russia or the Soviet Union and motivated, among other things, by the Balfour Declaration and the associated boost for the Zionist project, which aspired towards an independent Jewish state. [1]

Between 1924 and 1931 a further 80,000 Jews arrived, once again primarily from the Soviet Union and Poland. The Polish Jews in particular suffered from anti-Semitism in Polish government policy, which excluded them from important segments of the economy. By contrast, the prospects for economic development for Jews in Palestine at this time were already significantly improved, and a Jewish infrastructure had been established. The biggest pre-state wave of immigration, the fifth aliyah between 1932 and 1939, involved about 200,000 Jews. They had recognised the signs of the times, largely following the assumption of power by the National Socialists in 1933, and decided to leave their homeland. The immigrants of the 1930s also already included several thousand Jews from Middle Eastern countries with large Jewish communities such as Yemen and Iraq. Between 1939 and 1945 around a further 70,000 European Jews from Poland, Germany, Romania, Hungary and Czechoslovakia succeeded in fleeing from Nazi terror. They are sometimes also included in the fifth aliyah. These immigrants not only had to overcome the difficulties of leaving Central and Eastern Europe, but, against a background of the looming partition of Palestine, were also confronted by the British Mandatory power's restrictive immigration regulations. On the eve of the founding of the Israeli state, the Jewish population of Palestine numbered more than 600,000 people.

The War of Independence: refugeeism and displacement

At the start of Jewish immigration at the end of the 19th century Palestine was by no means uninhabited. Living in the area – initially in peaceful coexistence with the Jewish immigrants, for the most part – was a partly nomadic, partly settled Arab population totalling about 400,000 people. In addition, there were a number of small Jewish communities which, taken together, numbered about 20,000 people and whose settlement went back predominantly to Jews driven out of Spain at the end of the 15th century as well as Jewish pilgrims from the latter years of the Middle Ages.

At the end of the 19th century and turn of the 20th century the living space and economic areas of both population groups overlapped, especially in the mixed-population cities of Haifa, Yaffo (Jaffa), Ramle and Akko. Like the Jews, Arabs, too, migrated from surrounding regions to Palestine and settled there. The early 1920s, however, saw riots and at times armed conflict between Jews and Arabs (mostly over land issues) as well as between both groups and the British Mandatory power in Palestine. In the 1930s and 1940s there were civil war-like clashes, increasing in magnitute after the United Nations (UN) Partition Plan of 1947 which proposed two states on Palestinian soil,. Immediately after the Declaration of Independence made by the Jewish National Council on the 14th May 1948, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Iraq declared war on the new state of Israel. This first Arab-Israeli war lasted over a year and led to massive displacement and refugee movements, since the victorious Israel also conquered areas that, according to the UN Plan, were to belong to the Arab state of Palestine.

In all, between 600,000 and 800,000 people of Arabic origin were left without a homeland: more than 450,000 settled in the Gaza Strip as well as in the part of the West Bank under Jordanian control until 1967, 70,000 in Transjordan (today's Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan), 75,000 in Syria and a further 100,000 in Lebanon. Palestinian refugees also found themselves in Iraq (about 4,000) and in Egypt (around 7,000). Unlike most Jews, who saw in the newly-founded and defended independence of Israel the realisation of the Zionist dream, the war, refugeeism and displacement of the year 1948 meant catastrophe (Nakba) for Arab Palestinians. In 1948 a small number of Arabs stayed in the newly founded state: a good 150,000 non-Jews were granted Israeli citizenship, making them an ethnic minority. Depending on (self)definition, members of that minority are described as Israeli Arabs or as Palestinian Israelis. Today this group comprises more than 1.4 million people.

The information... TRUTHFUL information... is out there. One only needs to WANT the truth... and it's their's to have. Having lived a little over half a century, AND having researched this matter for myself (because my Lord wanted me to know the TRUTH), I believe the information above is accurate, correct, and truthful. You, though, must decide for yourself. Of course, you can ignore the word of the MOST Holy One of Israel, JAH of Armies (JaHVeH)... and lean upon your OWN understanding (which may have been established based on emotion and not REAL research)... or you can trust in HIM... and listen to the One He SENT... to LEAD Israel... ALL of Israel and NOT just the Jews. Which One He said TO listen to. Which is what I did... and so how I came upon this and other information that sheds truthful light on this matter.

I hope it helps!

Peace... to you ALL, in the way Christ gives it... and to those in the land of Israel/Palestine, in the way the world gives it, for the children, elderly, and other folks not directly responsible for or involved in the current conflict!

Servant to the Household of God, Israel, and ALL those who go with... and a slave of Christ,

SA

Romans 2:29
New Living Translation
No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by God's Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people.

New International Version
No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by God's Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people.

Aramaic Bible in Plain English
But he is a Jew who is in secret, and circumcision is that which is of the heart, in The Spirit and not by the Scriptures, whose glory is not from the children of men, but from God.

John4:22 ( words of Jesus Christ )
You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know,
for salvation is from the Jews.

“When God made His promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for Him to swear by, He swore by Himself” (Heb. 6:13).
Romans 11: - So I ask, God has not rejected his people, has he? Absolutely not! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God has not rejected his people whom he foreknew!
11 I ask then, they did not stumble into an irrevocable fall,
did they? Absolutely not!

17 Now if some of the branches were broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among them and participated in the richness of the olive root, 18 do not boast over the branches. But if you boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you. ………….Do not be arrogant, but fear!
25 For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: A partial hardening has happened to Israel until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:
“The Deliverer will come out of Zion;

I, for one, hear you, dear VG ( peace to you!). I mean as far as I know Israel is Israel... and Jews Jews... based on their FATHERS... Jacob and Judah... and Benjamin... NOT on their mothers (indeed, the mothers of the first set weren't even all from Abraham, Isaac, or even Ishmael... but the SERVANTS of such women... the first group not being Israel EITHER... cause there WAS no Israel... before JAH'kob was NAMED Israel. But I digress.).

Not me who's saying who is a Jew and who isn't, luv. Even so, he is not a Jew who is one on the OUTSIDE but who is one on the INSIDE. And such one would PROVE they ARE a Jew on the INSIDE by NOT murdering his ENEMY, let alone hus BROTHER... REGARDLESS of what his penis... and nose... "said."

TRUE Jews... and others of the TRUE Israel... would not be involved in this conflict at ALL. On EITHER side. Because they would SHOWS God's Law to be written on their HEARTS and thus refrain. They would ALL do the works Abraham did with Lot... take the LOWER seat... perhaps even letting themselves be wronged.

That doesn't negate what this conflict is truly about though... and "who started it."

Peace to you!

Your servant and a slave of Christ,

Shellamar

Villagegirl beat me to Romans 11. What a fascinating chapter. I was reading it this past week. It shows the REASON for lopping off the natural branches and grafting in the wild olives, and that was to incite the natural Jews to jealousy. (Rom 11:11). And the grand promise to the Jews? Verse 23: "And they also, if they do not remain in their lack of faith, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them back in."

Which brings up an interesting question, and one that has spurred quite a bit of debate: Was Paul saying that ALL Jews would ultimately have their sins taken away and be shown mercy after the fullness of the Gentiles comes in, regardless of whether they show faith or not? That sure is what the reading implies in verses 25 through 32.

Paul shared the answer to that question in the "sacred secret" he revealed further in the same chapter, dear LQ ( peace to you! ). Verses 25-27.

I hope that helps!

Peace!

I'm reading this two different ways. I do not hold the view that some have that all of natural Israel would be granted mercy and delivered. But that is what some say this reading means. No wonder Peter said that Paul's writing were hard to understand! (2 Pet 3:15,16)

The reason I don't think that way, even though a QUICK reading SEEMS to imply that is because of this one phrase:

For I do not want you to be unaware of this sacred secret, brothers, so that you do not become wise in your own eyes: A partial dulling of senses has come upon Israel until the full number of people of the nations has come in, 26 and in this manner all Israel will be saved. Just as it is written: “The deliverer will come out of Zion and turn away ungodly practices from Jacob. 27 And this is my covenant with them, when I take their sins away.” 28 True, with respect to the good news, they are enemies for your sakes; but with respect to God’s choosing, they are beloved for the sake of their forefathers. 29 For the gifts and the calling of God are not things he will regret. 30 For just as you were once disobedient to God but have now been shown mercy because of their disobedience, 31 so also these now have been disobedient with mercy resulting to you, so that they themselves may also now be shown mercy. 32 For God has confined all of them together in disobedience so that he might show all of them mercy.

So, I read this as: Faithful NATURAL Israelites PLUS the full number (literally: fullness) of the Gentiles makes up "Israel".

This reading would fit in with what Paul earlier wrote at Rom 9:6-8:
"However, it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who descend from Israel are really “Israel.” 7 Neither are they all children because they are Abraham’s offspring; rather, “What will be called your offspring will be through Isaac.” 8 That is, the children in the flesh are not really the children of God, but the children by the promise are counted as the offspring."

Regardless, something I found interesting in Romans 11 is that if NATURAL Israelites once again have faith, they would be grafted back in. They were, after all, God's original "special possession". Thus, God would/DOES know who today are truly Jews... real, actual descendents of Abraham.

Part of Paul's theology was the notion of the physical Israel ( the Jews) and the spiritual Israel ( Jews and all those that believe in Christ).
When Paul says that salvation comes from the Jews, He means that Christ ( that is salvation) came from the Jews ( which of course he did).
Paul is always clear that people, all people, are saved base don what Christ DID for them and by them he means those that believe in Christ, and not about anything they do or anything like that.

OMG... I lost internet connection and forgot all about this, dear LQ (peace to you!). I will try to explain now:

The entire nation of Israel was not only supposed to be saved... BUT we're supposed to be the "royal priesthood" (i.e., a nation of king-priests) in God's kingdom. That's what they were being TRAINING to be... as a NATION: JAH'S priests AND "princes"... and so a people for a SPECIAL possession.

Rather than embrace that destiny, however, they almost en masses REJECTED the One sent to TRAIN them for that special designation... the SON of THEIR God, the MOST Holy One (of ISRAEL!!!)... JaHVeH... which Son is the HOLY One OF Israel!!!) and Holy Spirit, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH ( MischaJah )... AFTER repeatedly disregarding the counsel of the one sent BEFORE him to get them ready FOR him... Moses ("If they didn't listen to Moses...").

As a result, they LOST that privilege AS A (physical/fleshly) NATION. HOWEVER... in order to ENSURE that the promise to ABRAHAM is FULFILLED...144,000 FROM that nation are SEALED... into that kingship-priesthood privilege.

144,000 is not enough, though, to do the JOB these were to be trained to do... even in a "thousand" years. And it certainly isn't enough to judge (help resolve issues between sheep), let alone help determine (separate) who is a sheep and who is a goat. Where, then, would JAH get ENOUGH people if only 144,000 are taken from ISRAEL? (And note, from 11 tribes NOT... NOT just one, the Yehudi/"Jews" - Judah/Benjamin; although, Dan IS excluded due to just giving their land away to marauders who came to take it rather than defending it... but, as RACHEL's firstborn, Joseph gets a double share...)

He would get them from EVERY nation, tribe, tongue, and people... INCLUDING Israel (those NOT sealed)... of those who showed themselves to be "Jews" on the INSIDE... and so part of the TRUE Israel... the NEW Jerusalem. Revelation 5:9, 10 These, along with those from among the sons of Israel numbering 144,000 are part of the Bride... and so Body... of Christ. When he arrives to receive them home to himself, they are either (1) resurrected to spirit bodies (if they have died) or (2) immediately after, changed to spirit bodies... so that they can GO home with him ("flesh and blood cannot enter...). They go home with him... to the true dwelling place of the MOST HOLY One of Israel, JAH of Armies, so as to be joined to him in "marriage" (i.e., become FULLY "one" with him, as a man and woman become "one.")

What, though, of those of Israel... Jews AND Samaritans... who were not part of the 144,000... OR the "great crowd"? These are saved, too. But unlike those of Israel who take part in the FIRST resurrection or are changed to spirit bodies directly after, THESE do not come to life until the END of that time period. Revelation 20:4-6

But... ALSO unlike those of Israel (who take part in the first resurrection/are changed at Christ's return)... THESE... the REST of Israel... take part in the SECOND resurrection. They are resurrected to LIFE, however... and so do not experience the second death (that those resurrected to JUDGMENT do).

While a good thing as to life, it is NOT (necessarily) a good thing, however, because had these been part of the FIRST resurrection/change... they would be KINGS and PRIESTS in the New Jerusalem. Contrary to what they COULD have had... these become SUBJECTS... of PEOPLE OF THE NATIONS (who DID take part in the first resurrection/change, either as one of the 144,000 or one of the great crowd). Which is a demotion... and a humiliation. Because these, although Abraham's seed... are ruled BY people of the nations... rather than ruling OVER people of the nations... as was the initial PROMISE... TO the entire nation.

I hope that helps, dear LQ... and I sincerely apologize for the delay!

Peace to you!

YSSFS of Christ,

Shel

Gotta fix that (peace to you, all!): from 12 tribes, but not all 12 of Israel. They are from 11 of the 12 tribes, with Joseph receiving a double share ("Joseph"... or "Ephraim" his son... and "Mannaseh" his other son)... due to Rachel being the TRUE (beloved) wife of Jacob (aka the man (re)named "Israel"). That Dan has no share is kind of misleading - it has no NAMED share, because of their error, but like Benjamin was absorbed by Judah... they are absorbed by all 12 tribes. As the Levites once served on behalf of all 12 tribes. In this way, the promise to Abraham is not reneged on, but fulfilled. No tribe of Israel is left out. Whether as part of the kingship-priesthood... the great crowd... or those who take place in the general (second) resurrection.

I hope this helps!

Peace to you all!

OMG... omg... omg... I've JUST received the following from my dear, DEAR Lord, the HOLY One of Israel and Holy Spirit, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH (MischaJah):

The promise to Israel will not be FULFILLED... until they say... AS A NATION... "Blessed is he that comes in the name of JAH." Which I have just learned from my dear, dear Lord that they say... as a RESULT... OF the "great tribulation." OMG.. omg... omg...

They won't say it, as a NATION, however, until they are full on in that conflict... which will be the WORSE tribulation they have EVER experienced... and they've experienced some pretty bad ones! But THIS time... they will be SO overtaken that in sheer DESPERATION they will call out to the SON of God, our dear Lord!

And... JAH will HEAR them... and SEND him!

THAT is what tirggers our dear Lord's return, dear ones! Once again, the CRY OF ISRAEL is what will prompt the MOST HOLY One of Israel, JAH of Armies, to act! By that time, the number of the great crowd will be filled... and the Door closed. The "rain" of the "great tribulation" will start... and Israel WILL cry out for help. Not those in the Ark, but those OUTSIDE.

And some will die in the "flood." Those who are IN the "ark" (of the NEW Covenant), though... do not but "come OUT of" the great tribulation. They come OUT... because they were "preserved alive" by means of the "ark" that is the NEW Covenant. THEY had "washed THEIR robes" in the "blood" of the Lamb... and so the "instrument" of the "great tribulation"... the "FOUR WINDS"... do not overtake THEM. Along with JAH's dynamic energy, provided as when the Hebrew young men were put in fire by Nebuchadnezzar, these "robes"... SPIRIT bodies... PROTECT them through it! So that the "power" leashed by those "winds" (highly radioactive!!) have absolutely NO effect on them... and so they come THROUGH it!

OMG. How privileged we are, dear ones, to receive this information!! To receive ad know the "signs"... NOT because we ASKED for them... but because we have FAITH so as to not to HAVE to ask for signs! JUST because we put faith in the One who can REVEAL them to us... and TRUSTED that WHATEVER we need to know, he WILL share it with us... at the PROPER time!

Which begs the question, given the current conflict: what "time" IS it??

OMG. Omg. Omg.

I, SA, have shared this truth with you, JUST as I JUST received it from my dear, dear Lord, Savior, Master, and King, the HOLY One of Israel and HOLY Spirit... JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH (MischaJah). This is EXACTLY what he just told me, dear ones!

Praise JAH... YOU PEOPLE! Let EVERY living thing... every living BREATHING thing... let it praise the MOST HOLY One of Israel, JAH of Armies... and give GLORY to His SON... the HOLY One of Israel and HOLY Spirit... JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH (MischaJah)... who reveals ALL truth to his friends and brothers, those who BELONG to him... by means of being IN him and him in THEM... his BODY and BRIDE!

Oh, dear, dear ones.... may those with ears to hear... HEAR... and get the SENSE of what has just been revealed to us... and may those without ear but WISHING them... RECEIVE them... so AS to hear this revelation... and even more... when He, the Spirit, and his bride SAY to such one:

"COME! COMMMMMEEEEE! NOW, if you have not already!! TAKE 'LIFE's' (Christ's) water... the holy spirit of GOD... which 'water' HE... Christ, the SON of God and His HOLY One and HOLY Spirit... pours OUT... upon ANYONE truly WISHING it.... FREE!"

Please, PLEASE... pardon my zeal! But... it's FREE... dear ones! I KNOW! Because I've RECEIVED it! YOU CAN, TOO! JUST TAKE IT!! DRINK!!!

Servant to the Household of God, Israel... and ALL those who go with... and a WILLING slave OF that Holy One and Holy Spirit, Christ,

SA

OMG - I just got off the phone with you a short while ago, and that very moment I heard the truth of this from my Lord.

I had gotten the sense of what you shared here enough to accept this, but I was still confused about some things (confusion can lead to hesitation and that can lead to doubt and lack of faith). But Christ has cleared any hesitation or doubt up by what He said to me, opening my eyes and ears and heart so as to understand also what is written, so as to KNOW that this is true:

Israel is hardened until the full number of Gentiles have come in... so that just as God has had mercy upon the gentiles, He can ALSO have mercy upon Israel... and that happens when they say, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of Jah!"

That is the time - as Christ Himself testified to that they would not see him until they say this (and so they WILL see Him WHEN they say this) - that God may also have mercy upon THEM.

As Paul also witnessed to the truth when he wrote (from what He heard) in Romans 11: 25-32.

"Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may receive mercy as a result of God's mercy to you. "

My Lord tells me that they are disobedient in that they do NOT listen to the Son, or therefore God, because God said to them (and to all):

"This is my Son. Listen to Him."

But they WILL say "Blessed is He who comes in the name of Jah"... and then they TOO may receive mercy, and are heard and Christ comes!

Praise Jah and His Son, our Lord, Jaheshua, yes!

"Come!"

your sister and servant, and fellow grateful slave of Christ,
tammy
