I hear you, dear Sher'f (peace to you, dear friend!)... and to be truthful, which we always strive to be when there's no reason not to be, this time it was cows and sheep, not goats - LOLOL!):
https://www.jewishpress.com/multimedia/video-picks/cows-and-sheep-stolen-on-october-7-up-for-sale-in-gaza-for-eid-al-adha-sacrifice/2024/06/13/Thing is, the "rocks" are bigger now and far, far more lethal. Or will be at some point. It's not just the rocks (technically OR literally) that should have our attention, though, dear friend - it's what the world will (eventually) decide to "do" about the underlying basis for all of the "rock" throwing: religion.
Of course, the issue isn't REALLY religion; it's land. More precisely,
[b]who should have the land that was:
• Taken from the Canaanites/Phoenicians by JaH via conquer by the Israelites (those descendants of Abraham through his son Isaac and Isaac's son, JaH'Kub); then
• Given to the Israelites; then
• Lost by the Israelites to the Romans, first by the Samaritans (Samaria), then by the Jews (Judea), the latter occurring over the course of 6 CE-132 CE; then
• Captured by the Muslims and taken from the Romans in 636-641 CE; then
• Overtaken (well, Jerusalem, anyway) by (so-called) "christians" during the Crusades; then
• Recaptured and ruled over by many different Muslim factions; until
• Captured by the Turks and put under rule of the Ottoman Empire; then
• Put under British rule when Britain defeated the Ottoman Empire in WWI.
Under the various League of Nations mandates published in the 1920's, the land was divided between the Jews and the Palestinian/Arabs, the latter being given what is known today as the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, which the Jews should NOT be
settling (i.e., building houses and housing projects, etc.) in and so it is referred to as "occupied territory" (meaning, not
given to but still being occupied nonetheless by the Jews), which is what the Palestinians and Arabs have a problem with (in addition to the land they were removed from which
was given to the Jews). In "occupying" the Gaza Strip, the Israelis are forcing their way onto Palestinian/Arab land.
I digress.
It's NOT religion... but religion has involved itself/allowed itself to be involved/used and so, when the "rocks" hit the fan, it is religion that will be turned on (as prophesied). And while it's not the rocks, per se, that should have our attention, but what folks will do because of the rocks, it is because of specific "rocks" and so, we might want to pay attention. For instance, to the progress, changes, and developments related to these "rocks":
https://emetonline.org/resource/iran-violations-since-jcpoa/The rock-throwing has gone on for millennia, yes. It only took one rock, though, to bring down Goliath, yes?
We can focus on the pebbles being tossed back and forth, dear Sher'f... or we can (try and) keep our eye on David's sling. Got to be awake to do that, though.
Peace to you (and dear Auntie and the Fam), and may JaH and Christ bless and keep you ALL!
YSFS of Christ,
Shelb
