ANTHONY SAID'm just going to use this forum as a dumping ground of crazy stuff that I have in my notes and have never shared publicly. Understand this as a 'for what it's worth' and not something that should be accepted as true.

When the WT Society got involved with the United Nations. Lloyd Barry
from the Governing Body has assigned Circo Alucino from the writing
committee to pepare the United Nations articles. Lloyd Barry's name
appears on the NGO registration listing along with Ciro and Robert
Johnson of the service department. So within the structure of the
Watctower Barry was apparently the highest ranking individual to be
directly involved in courting the UN.
What is interesting is the strange occurrence of Barry's death. He
collapsed while giving a talk at a convention in Hawaii. He was taken
to a hospital and pronounced dead on arrival from an apparent heart
attack. This in itself isn't all that strange, people die of
heart attacks everyday, though it is unusual for them do drop dead
while public speaking. However what is noteworthy is the subject
matter of the talk he was giving when he had his heart failure.
The theme of the talk was "Fighters Against God Will Not Prevail". I
haven't been able to get audio of the talk but the WT article that is
based on it is readily available. Here is an excert of special note:
Quote:
Quote:
"We seek to defend and establish the good news by legal means.
(Philippians 1:7) Moreover, we will not compromise or water down our
firm adherence to God's standards of righteousness. (Titus 2:10, 12)
Like Jeremiah, we 'gird up our hips and speak everything that Jehovah
commands us,' not allowing fighters against God to strike us with any
terror. (Jeremiah 1:17, 18 ) Jehovah's Holy Word has clearly marked out
the right course for us to take. Never do we want to lean on the frail
"arm of flesh" or seek "refuge in the shadow of Egypt," that is, this
world. (2 Chronicles 32:8; Isaiah 30:3; 31:1-3) In waging spiritual
warfare, we must continue to trust in Jehovah with all our heart, let
him direct our steps, and not lean on our own understanding. (Proverbs
3:5-7) Unless we have Jehovah's support and he himself is guarding us,
all our work will be "to no avail."—Psalm 127:1."
Now compare what the WT says with what took place with the UN DPI.
Certainly the WT did "water down" their adherence to God's standards.
Moreover they did lean on the "frail arm of the flesh and seek refuge
in the shadow of Egypt, the world". Barry's talk was very blatant
hypocrisy. Draw your own conclusion.
