Public hearing into the Jehovah’s Witnesses to recommence

The Royal Commission’s public hearing into the Jehovah’s Witnesses will recommence in Sydney on Friday 14 August 2015 at 11:00am.
It is anticipated that the hearing will hear from one witness, Mr Geoffrey Jackson, a member of the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Dear Mr. Reed,

I've just viewed your reply to my email to Mr. Stewart. Although I'm pleased that you have received it and read it with much interest, I failed to state that I wished it to be kept confidential. I do not wish to appear before the Commission personally. It was never my intention. My only purpose was to make sure the Commission has every available document at it's disposal in order to understand, in full, and wholly, just how the WTBTS manifests its doctrines into policies that allow for this type of cover up and abuse and also the policies that literally kill its children. {no blood policy}.

It is with much gratitude and appreciation that you've taken my email with merit. If I can be of any assistance in linking you up to documents that state exactly, how the governing body of WTBTS operates, please do not hesitate to ask. Incidently, the book that was written by governing body member Raymond Franz, Crisis of Conscience, is a must-read, in gaining a better picture of how this organization is run, and by whom, from the inside.

The Royal Commission’s public hearing into the Jehovah’s Witnesses will recommence in Sydney on Friday 14 August 2015 at 11:00am.

It is anticipated that the hearing will hear from one witness, Mr Geoffrey Jackson, a member of the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

The scope and purpose of the public hearing is to inquire into:

1. The experience of survivors of child sexual abuse within the Jehovah’s Witnesses Church in Australia.

2. The responses of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Church and the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Australia Ltd to allegations, reports or complaints of child sexual abuse within the Church.

3. The systems, policies and procedures in place within the Jehovah’s Witnesses Church and the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Australia Ltd for raising and responding to allegations of or concerns about child sexual abuse within the Church.

4. The systems, policies and procedures in place within the Jehovah’s Witnesses Church and the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Australia Ltd to prevent child sexual abuse within the Church.

5. Any related matters.
