if some people don't have homosexuals to be looking down upon, pointing their fingers at (ie: I might be a sinner, but at least I'm not gay), then some people might just have to start looking at themselves.
That is really the underlying gist of judging, dear Tams (peace, luv!): the pointing of the finger... the rafter in one's own eye... etc. The truth is, it is VERY difficult to look at oneself. I KNOW this, because I went through it. It is much easier, instead, to look at OTHERS'... and THEIR "dirt". Even point the finger, so that no one looks at the one pointing. How many times, though, have we seen where the one at the forefront of condemning others is actually engaging in the exact same thing... or worse?
One thing that one TRULY coming [into the Light of] Christ learns... is to look at oneself... and then at him. And only those two. Because every other "view" WILL come back to "bite" one. Like a viper. Sooner or later.
Wanna avoid being bitten (including by one's OWN "venom")? One only need keep one's gaze on... and listen to... the beloved Son. His Light will help one see (where one is naked and thus needing "clothing"... love)... AND "blind" one to the... mmmmm... "straws"... of others.
And makes TOTAL sense that it works that way, doesn't it?
Man, the freedom of Christ. NOTHING like it! Not on earth, at least.
Peace to you, all!
A slave of Christ,
