But that is exactly how the "matrix" works, dear At (peace to you, dear, dear lady!). In the movie, the protagonist "Neo"... "worked" at a company where, basically, everyone just sat in their cubicle and did their "job." Don't ask, don't question... don't THINK. Do what THEY ("Mr. Smith" and company) TELL you. BELIEVE what they tell you.
And what are JWs told? "Those folks are LYING on 'us'!" Of course, if someone in, say, the US, says someone in, say, Japan, is making commercials... "they're LYING on us!" Contrastly, if someone in, say, Japan, says someone in, say, the US, is making videos of JWs dancing to Pharrell Williams' "Happy Song," well, of course, "they're LYING on us!" See?
And it all worked out! Until... the Internet. NOW, the folks in Japan can see FOR THEMSELVES, what the folks in the US are doing. And vice versa. Unfortunately, the WTBTS leadership hasn't figure out a different lie... than the lie that "they're LYING on us!" Sadly, those JWs who are still "plugged in"... believe the WTBTS IS being lied on.
JUST like the people [stll plugged] in[to] the Matrix believed the false "reality" of what THEY were living.
I encourage you: watch that film again. Only this time, don't let your "concern" that (1) there is a girl named "Trinity", (2) there is a search for "The One", and (3) he is supposed to be a "savior" of sorts... distract you. As perhaps a bit of WTBTS "baggage" might allow. Rather, maybe allow yourself to look at it as a fictional portrayal of a LOT of truth about somethings. One of those things being the WTBTS illusion. Push your fear (of watching something that eludes to the spiritual, as we were TAUGHT to fear, BY the WTBTS) aside... and consider the MESSAGE:
What we BELIEVE is real/reality... is NOT... and the very "thing" that is telling us it IS... is eating us. Literally. FEEDING... on... US. We are nothing more than food... which it
consumes... not only in order to EXIST... but to INCREASE. WE... are it's "
nourishment"... but only to the extent we DENY that it EXISTS. And so, it actually feeds OFF... and because OF... our IGNORANCE.
Let go, dear lady... of ALL that they taught you. Including... fear. It's only a movie. And while it doesn't necessarily glorify our dear Lord, it DOES raise the question as to whether what we THINK is real... truly IS. Or... perhaps we all ARE... sleeping.

P.S. These analogies don't only apply to the WTBTS, but to ALL religion. Which, for US... is the religion of the WTBTS. BTW I JUST heard from our dear Lord that there is NO such thing as "false religion." Because there is no TRUE religion. To have a false religion means there is a/some true religion. But, per him, ALL religion... as we understand and use that word... is false. Indeed, once the word 'religion" enters the situation... so does falsehood. Peace to you, dear, dear lady... and sister!
