| Post subject: | Conflation |
I didn't realize it was possible to disfellowship and yet not shun; WT conflated the two notions such that I believed they were one. Another thing I didn't quite grasp until I read a JWD post (long ago) is that Bible and Scripture are not the same thing. Conflation again; WT would have people belive they mean the same. Does anyone have other examples of conflation? If it took me this long to realize just a few I could use some help to get things straight! TIA, AB |

It`s more than conflation with the WBT$.. They just flat out make things up/LIE.. More times than not they`ll abandon one idea for another.. Then say they have a better understanding of the belief they just abandoned.. You`ll drive yourself crazy trying to make sense of anything the WBT$ teaches.. The best thing you can do is research things your interested in,for yourself.. In answer to your Question.. The WBT$ GB = The FDS.....The Anointed are out of a Job.. The WBT$ GB = Mediator between God and man.....Jesus is out of a Job.. The lines have been purposely blurred.. ................................. ...OUTLAW

Quote: WT would have people believe they mean the same. I think pretty much ALL religions would have people believe this, dear AnneB (peace to you, luv, and hope all is well with you and your household!). Both "christian" and non-christian... that "the Holy Bible" is "the Scriptures." "Christians" go one step further, though, and consider/call/teach the Bible is "the word of God." Another conflation, perhaps? As for the WT, how about: - "The Resurrection" as if there is only one versus "the FIRST resurrection" and "the SECOND resurrection"... - "Armageddon" being the culmination of the GT and beginning of the "1,000 years" versus some time after the 1,000 years have ended - "The Judgment" being "Armageddon", versus occurring AFTER the conclusion of the event [at] "Har-Mageddon" Thanks for a great topic and again, peace to you!
