On October 7, 2012, we received the following comment and inquiries:

“Today there is a new post [on another website] commenting on the "new light" of the governing body about the identity of the "faithful discreet slave." I think this "new light" from the governing body is intended to weaken the new stand of witnesses who are partaking in the emblems. Maybe, this is an indirect answer to your site, or for any other ones who are feeling their heavenly hope. ”

To the author, we thank you for submitting your concern. This matter has been brought to our attention by a few different brothers, and we have done a little investigating ourselves. As it currently stands, the matter is only rumor, as we were not invited to the Annual Meeting, nor have we spoken with anyone who attended. We have seen what appear to be notes from the meeting and, assuming those notes are accurate, we see no need for alarm.

According to the notes we reviewed, at the Annual Meeting of the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society, held on October 6, 2012, a new understanding was given as to the identity of the Faithful and Discreet Slave referred to in Matthew 24:45-47. The note state that the “new light” is that the Faithful and Discreet Slave (the “Slave”) is now identified as “a small group of anointed brothers during Jesus’ presence serving at headquarters who are directly involved in the preparing and dispensing of spiritual food.” This seems to mean that “the Slave” is the 8-member Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses. This would be a change from the previous understanding, as recent as June 2009, that all of the anointed ones living on earth at any given time constitute “the Slave.” If these notes are accurate, we are certain the Society will soon be explaining the “new light” in an upcoming Watchtower magazine, and we will look forward to receiving it.

In the meantime, we see no cause for alarm. This type of “new light” would only define the Governing Body and what they must do. It would not define the anointed children of the Father and would not excuse us from carrying out our commission as ambassadors substituting for Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:18-20) In fact, such “new light” would add greater responsibility to the 8-member Governing Body and could perhaps move them to do what we have been asking them to do for these past nine months – provide nourishing spiritual food to the anointed sons of the Kingdom. So if this rumor is indeed true, then we look forward to the Governing Body carrying out their newly understood responsibilities.

As for us, there would be no need for us to abandon our ministry. If the Governing Body steps up and begins to preach the true good news of the Kingdom and provide “food at the proper time,” we will then be able to direct our ministry toward other Christian associations to likewise encourage them to take up the ministry of reconciliation as ambassadors. We will thereby be doing our part in getting more workers into the harvest! (Matthew 9:37-3

On a somber note, if the rumor is true, we sincerely hope the Governing Body diligently carries out its newly understood duties, otherwise when the Father comes to inspect His house, He need only look to 8 men who will bear the brunt of His disfavor. We will do our part to support the Governing Body so that such a fate will not overtake them. And we encourage all our brothers to do so as well. They will need our prayers.

To the author of this inquiry, and to all the brothers who have written us with concern, we hope we have alleviated some of your distress. And to all the brothers and sisters who have recently found your Father and who have decided to Stand Up at the 2013 Memorial Celebration, we hope you, too, are strengthened. You are sons of the most powerful personality in the Universe. Whatever role the Governing Body elects for itself, nothing can separate you from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus.

Moses was the mediator of the Law Covenant, dear OUTLAW (peace to you, dear one!)... and thus, held the "seat" between Israel and God. The people would inquire of him, he would inquire of JAH. JAH would tell him... and he in turn would inform the people. By the time my Lord arrived in the flesh, the scribes (copyists of the Law) and "Pharisees" (lawyers and thus religious leaders and proscribers of the Law) had placed themselves in that "seat": they had the people believing that THEY were the ones the people needed to inquire of... and they in turn would "inquire" of JAH... by interpreting His laws (the way THEY saw fit)... and rather than go to JAH, the people had to come to them and inquire.
When my Lord came in the flesh, he exposed these (Matthew 23).

Today, Christ is the mediator of the NEW Covenant, yes. But the WTBTS keeps attempting to have its member adhere to the OLD Law. Not only that, like the scribes and Pharisees of old, they have their members believing that THEY are the ones the people need to inquire of... and, in turn, they are the ones that "dispense" whatever it is that God has to say TO His people. And like the hypocrites before them they "seat themselves in the seat of Moses"... due to their exacting attempts to have folks adhere to the LAW Covenant (which was nailed to the pole with my Lord).

Christ is the mediator of the NEW Covenant, though... which includes Israel AND a great crowd from EVERY nation, tribe, tongue, and peoples... and overshadows the Law Covenant. Thus, HE know holds the seat... the ONLY seat... of mediator between God and mankind.

These also usurp HIS seat, though... by calling themselves the "truth"...when there is only ONE Truth for those who belong to GOD: His Son, the Holy One of Israel, JAHESHUA, the Chosen One of JAH (MischaJah). John 8:32, 36; 14:6; 17:17; Hebrews 13:12

Unfortunately, those they mislead are "blind," such that they not only SEE that they are being misled... but by whom ("blind guides")... and AWAY from whom: the MOST Holy One of Israel, JAH... of Armies (Psalm 68:4).

I hope that helps clarify, dear one.

BTW - I took a look at the "AnointedJW.org" site... and I am... disturbed. For a LOT of reasons, but primarily because of the closing greeting they are using: "Elaia Luchnia". This is a name I made up with the sister that went with me to Bethel some years ago... and that we used when writing the Society. It means "two olive trees/lampstands" and is taken from Revelation 11:4. There are also two articles on their site that I PROMISE I wrote. They have been tweeked a bit, but... I know my writings.

I have an email in to ask them where they got the name from. Their letters are all addressed to the GB... as well as the Writing Department and so, I really think what I shared is accurate, in spite of that additional information posted by dear Ant (peace to you!). I THINK... that someone IN the Writing Department is behind the site... and got his/her start by some of the things I and perhaps this sister wrote to the "Society" years ago.

Of course, I realize, their response... and that of some elsewhere (JWN)... would be "Well, maybe you're not the ONLY one who gets information, SA!" And that could be true. But the name AND [very] similar writings? Way too coincidental. We'll see what they have to say, if they respond at all. If it IS what I think (though I don't think I'll ever know that) I don't mind that they use either (the name or writings) to build up the Body of Christ, as they claim to be doing. I only mind... that they are DOING so... in conjunction with... and supporting... and thus "touching"... the "unclean thing" that is the WTBTS.

This is taken from a conversation on Facebook I had with an Ex JW from Capetown, South Africa on this very subject.

Let me explain why I think the WTBTS says Jesus is only the mediator for the anointed. There was a recent WT I think that basically stated that the "Other Sheep" have no salvation apart from the Faithful and Discreet Slave. Without the FDS to guide them then the "Other Sheep" are lost. So in essence they have set themselves (the Governing Body) as THE FDS (while excluding all the other anointed around the globe) and THEY are now the mediator between Christ, who is turn mediates between them and God.

They have essentially replaced Jesus with themselves with this teaching.
Now here's the interesting thing. According to Revelation 7:1-3 the anointed (which includes the present FDS) are taken to heaven or resurrected before the four winds are released and the Great Tribulation begins. Which means they are no longer present on earth when the Great Crowd is chosen and brought out at the conclusion of the Great Tribulation. So as of right now, there are no "Other Sheep".

If you read Revelation 7:9 it says this Great Crowd came "out" of the Great Tribulation, showing very clearly that none of the Great Crowd have even been chosen yet because the Great Tribulation has not yet begun. Since this is the case and since the FDS is taken to heaven before the Great Tribulation begins then who are the Governing Body claiming to be mediators for?

The answer? No one, since they haven't yet been selected because the GT hasn't yet started or ended........


Matthew 24:45-51 is the parable they often quote (the Governing Body) for their "authority" however they mistakenly attribute the rest of the parable to Christendom, which wouldn't make any sense. In the Bible, God always disciplines his own people first AND then the nations. This scripture actually is a prophecy that the WTBTS is unknowingly fulfilling at present.
45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

Notice that part of the Faithful and Wise Servant becomes the "evil slave" because their master "seems to be delaying, (because of the false promise of 1914). This "Evil Slave" (while still being of the anointed) begins to treat the domestics (God's people) badly and eats and drinks with the drunkards....You may recall when the UK newspaper the Guardian reported that the WTBTS was a United Nations Non Governmental Organization (NGO) and the WTBTS in response to the article resigned their NGO status? There was a lot of flak about that and the WTBTS tried to talk their way out of it, but the damage had been done as they had used their political affiliations to get around certain restrictions in other countries. This political union was (according to scriptural principle) adultery/fornication with Babylon The Great..........I'll let that sink in for a moment. THE WTBTS has in essence become unclean and this is why God's people are commanded to "Get out of her MY people, unless you want to share in her sins" Revelation 18:4

The "Evil Slave" is running the organization at present, it has allied itself with the nations and has uttered false prophecies over the years. What do you think will happen to the Governing Body and any JW's who remain within the organization when Jesus does return?
