I really enjoyed the first day of it! Well not the program but the association with people from many different countries. And kids were the luckiest and most happy of all because they received many many gifts (sweets, drawings, paper art, whatever you can imagine of).

But as regarding the program: complete crap!

- An advanced in age Samuel Herd reading from the manuscript as if a bored soldier doing his duty.
- A talk comparing Jehooovah's and man's rule that is corrupted by time. But Jehovah is a rock!
LOL!

So Jehovah's rule isn't corrupted by time?

Moses leadership > Rebellion in desert
Ancient Israel > Abandoned Jehovah and destroyed in 587.
CE Israel > Temple destroyed in 70 CE
1st century christian congo > turned apostates
JWs gb's, slave, etc end predictions > EPIC Fail!

Now you have convinced me idiots! (accusation goes to those writing the talks and not to those delivering them)

So in conclusion I can predict that conventions will turn out to become a social event, time to have some fun time and nobody care about the talks apart from those delivering them AND their wives. ;-)

Poor things. Even their parents Don't Even Know It's A Lie...

How could those small ones even have a clue?

"Lucky" indeed, dear ANOMOS (peace!). Because ignorance CAN be bliss. If only for a little while.

Peace!

Your servant and a slave of Christ,

Shellamar, wondering how many of these "lucky ducks" will come to hate their parents for all of this "happiness" one day...

yes those are things most kids are given, before, during and after being spiritually raped by all whom were there. these are also given to children who have been physically abused, including physical rape.

thx for sharing! i'm going to go throw up now.

Now regarding the Saturday program not much to say. Again ole Herd reading from manuscript (he even could say the title of the new book he was announcing because he was holding a Greek one-so aren't they writing this spiritual food by their hands?) much like his wife did in an interview. And that's what I want to comment on. Almost all those interviewed were reading from manuscript including wives from Crooklyn and other Bethel homes. It looked so bad. It seem that to break the monotony of the propaganda the 'FDS' has decided to split the talk to pieces and give them to women to present in the form of an interview. Alas, their reading from their notes sounds much the same as reading a manuscript of a talk. Horrible experience.

Better return to the fun of meeting other people and the exchange of gifts to keep my sanity. It won't be long before the majority won't give a s*** about the 'spiritual' material presented in talks.

They don't give a... now, dear ANOMOS ( peace to you!), else they would call for such ones to either speak by holy spirit... or failing the presence of that, at least their OWN hearts. After all, it's out of the heart's abundance that the mouth speaks.

In many cases, and certainly here, one's heart can't speak what isn't truly written there, though, can it... but must read words scripted FOR it... by others.

Too bad those words are most often lies.

Sigh. May they ALL get it: grasp the truth, so as to RECEIVE the Truth, and so learn to SPEAK the truth... and perhaps be led BY the Truth into ALL truth. So long as they continue to speak lies they show who their "father" TRULY is. And what HE is.

Peace to you!

Your servant and a slave of Christ,

Shellamar

Last day over and took so many photos with people from other countries: USA, South Africa (hmm South African's were in the other convention too.) And plenty invited us to stay at their homes if we ever visit for vacations! I really enjoyed the native costumes they were wearing: Texans with their hats, boots etc, Amerindians with their feathers, gypsies with all those 'golden' coins hanging, Russians in completely red suit! Oh my, they even waved red handkerchiefs! And those Korean young ladies with their pure white faces that looked so unreal like porcelain dolls! I thank God (if there is any) I had the opportunity to see those ladies in RL and take photos with them! What a pity one of them slipped on the stairs and severely sprained her foot. She was crying so much for ruining her happy time. I hope she didn't break anything. I cannot do more than wish a quick recovery as these take months to heal completely and plenty of days for the joint to become usable again.

Well everything was arranged to the minute detail about hospitality here too. But there is a difference: You will never get bored visiting the Parthenon, museums and the Greek islands!

Where are you Anomos? Are you in Athens? If you attended the Convention does that mean you are still a JW even though you might not believe?

I think all the costume thing is kind of hypocritical as the WT is so against nationalism. I know they do it to show that people are from another country and to show how they all get along but still?

I wonder what costume the Canadians wear. I guess they could dress a RCMP mounted police or a Indian Chief LOL.

Sorry, I cannot post photos as it may identify me. I am in, but I know TTATT! I only value the moral advice provided. Theology is crap.
