i did not say any pleasantries or please give my love to mom {lol}, i said verbatim what i wrote above.

crap!! i'm so tempted to call the voicemail again to do so, yet if i did that, it then sounds like i just want to vent....my goal is to keep him on the phone, discussing this article, as long as possible. if he gets to the point where i think he's going to hang up....THEN HE GETS IT WITH THE "UM, HEY, U DFED ME AND MY BROTHER, SO DO NOT DISCARD THIS PHONE CALL JUST YET DAD!! It only take 50 minutes to get to your kingdom hall, if that is where you'd like to handle this topic, dad."

BWAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH last nights conf call and going over this insane article that i forgot all the words to just re-ignited the 'kindling' within Me.

Picture me walking into my childhood kh, during the ritual, fashionably late, of course. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh lovely isn't it? i have the perfect dress too. it's very tropical and i think it will be a crowd pleaser! lololol the true colors of those little wt men will shine brightly, especially dear ol' dad!!

Oh, no, dear Skals (peace, chile'!)... you can't call him back and ask him about that on the PHONE. Nor would I encourage you to make a scene about it at the KH. I WOULD, however, encourage you to take advantage of the "invitation" from the podium that night and, well, ask to meet with him and another/couple-few others and ask them about it. Have a copy right there with'ya (although, perhaps a copy of the actual page, maybe from the WT Library online... versus this pic of the page).

If they won't meet with you, THEN maybe you can say, in front of "God and everybody," something like: "Well, okay, but I only wanted to ask you about this article in the blank blank 1969 Awake! that said...".

Not "may not," or "might not," or even "should not"...

Very certain and prophetic words. But what of:

It would seem to ME that THAT should answer ANYONE's questions as to whether the WTBTS... HAS truth, let alone IS "the truth"... or doesn't and is nothing more than a FALSE prophet.

Now that I think of it, I absolutely intend to carry a copy of both the article page... and the page of the NWT showing both scriptures... with me. I run into JWs ALL the time. Gonna whip 'em right and ask for an explanation. Will show them to anyone who even dares to talk to one of 'em while I'm around. I might not be able to address the child abuse issues, but I can certainly address lies and false prophesy... you bet'cha!

If anyone has an actual copy of the page, I would appreciate a copy. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), both dear hubby and I got rid of our "litter-ature" (LOL! at Skally's word!). No worries: I can tell whoever wants to know they can look it up "on the Internet" now!

Me (whipping out copy of page 14-15 of 5/22/69 Awake!): I carry this with me. Can you read what the highlighted texts say?

He reads (and very well).

Me: That is a false prophecy. You are following a false prophet.

He diverts eyes, looks embarrassed.

Me (not sure what he's embarrassed about... the text, the truth I just told him, or that he just up and let me gt him to read it)... turn and head for my train.

One seed planted... and only JAH and Christ know if it will grow. If the young man wants truth, then it will. Should've left him OUR card. Hmmmm...

Either way, one down. As many as I can reach to go.

Girl please do print that out here so I can add that to my arsenal when I feeling like messing wit' dem folks at their setup tables in the subway stations. I also hope you are someone here remembers the Awake back in either 1962 or 1963 that said that the JWs could vote, I remember my mother had all the bound volumes, went down in basement, showed that article to her, you could've heard her brain goin' round in circles trying to come up with an answer!!

BUt then so many things they say contradict them, I have in my wallet the quote from one of Kingdom Ministry's about brothers selling their homes in the 70's and stuff like that

I have never seen one of these cart tables. It's not just an American thing, is it? Mind you, it is not like I am out and about in the city. I'm relatively contained to my tiny part of this city, and I do not see jws very often. Haven't even gotten a memorial invitation yet.

I would not mind printing some of those myself, though, just to have them handy.
