Genesis 1

King James Version (KJV)

1 In the beginning the WBT$ GB Rock Star Popes created the heaven and the earth.

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of the WBT$ GB Rock Star Popes moved upon the face of the waters.

3 And the WBT$ GB Rock Star Popes said, Let there be light: and there was light.

4 And the WBT$ GB Rock Star Popes saw the light, that it was good: and the WBT$ GB Rock Star Popes divided the light from the darkness.

5 And the WBT$ GB Rock Star Popes called the light Day, and the darkness they called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

6 And the WBT$ GB Rock Star Popes said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

In Watchtower World..
Jesus is only for The WBT$ GB Rock Star Popes and the Anointed..
The WBT$ has pointed out the Anointed are Crazy..
So anyone who looks to Jesus as Mediator besides the WBT$ GB Rock Star Popes, is "Nuts!"..
The WBT$ GB Rock Star Popes are the new FDS..
They replace Jesus!!.They said so!..
JWs love their 8 WBT$ GB Golden Calve Rock Star Popes!..

If you want to survive in Watchtower World..
You need to get with the "WBT$ GB Golden Calve Rock Star Popes" Program..

Maybe go in the BackYard and..
Sacrifice a Chicken to Them!!..

Yes. In the Watchtower world, Jesus didn't come to save everyone. Just the ones who conform to the diktat of the GB.

The rest? No worries! They'll all be swept away, if they're alive at Armageddon, or just dead anyway. I remember hearing a scratchy recording of Rutherford, telling the unsuspecting listeners how "the dead are conscious of nothing at all", and it seemed to become a favourite JW phrase.

If Rutherford said it, and the GB say it, then it must be true! (Not.)

Well, I think I have to disagree, dear Sher'f (mornin' and peace to ya, ya varmint!). I think it goes more like this:

Genesis 1

WTBTS Version (NWT)

1 In the beginning the WBT$ GB Rock Star Popes created a heaven[ly] "hope" and an earth[ly] "hope."

2 And the earth[ly] "hope" was without the New Covenant... and so void; and darkness was upon the face of [those with the earth[ly] "hope", because they weren't "good enough" and never would be... because the Spirit of the WBT$ GB Rock Star Popes moved upon the face of the wormwoody waters they were drinking.

3 And the WBT$ GB Rock Star Popes said, Let there be NEW light: and there was NEW light.

4 And the WBT$ GB Rock Star Popes saw the NEW light, and said that it was good (and so all of the people said "Amen, the new light is good!") and the WBT$ GB Rock Star Popes divided the NEW light from the REAL Light (which is Christ)... which plunged them all into darkness.

5 And the WBT$ GB Rock Star Popes called the light "NEW Light", and they called everyone who didn't accept that new light from them "darkness" and kicked them out of their synagogues. And the evening and the morning were the first day [to the start of the generation after generation that started the countdown to "Armageddon").

6 And the WBT$ GB Rock Star Popes said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the wormwoody waters that we want people to drink, let's call it the "New World Translation" and let it divide the wormwoody waters that WE want people to drink from the LIVING water... by means of which they would LIVE and which comes from the TRUE Light... but we have to "shut" up that possibility for them, so let us give 'em our "water" and "light"...

Yeah, I think that's more "accurate." Whad'YOU think? LOLOLOL!

Peace, my dear, dear friend!

YSFS of Christ,

Shellamar

Amos 5:18 (one of our favorites) changed to:

'Woe to those who yearn for the day of Jehovah'

instead of:

'Woe to those who are crav the day of Jehovah'

Hmm. Crave or yearn... which is worse?

Crave: feel a powerful desire for (something).

Yearn: have an intense feeling of longing for something, typically something that one has lost or been separated from

I dunno... to me, changing this to "yearn" is even more broad-sweeping than "craving". Not all JWs "crave", but most "yearn", I'd say.

Sadly, they don't know what that "Day" is, though, dear LQ (peace, dear one!):

"The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. Then I saw three impure spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They are demonic spirits that perform signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.

“Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.”

"Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon."
Revelation 16:12-16

They, of all people, yearn for, if not crave, that Day. "Armageddon" in on their lips 24/7. Sadly... woe to them for that. May they WAKE UP... and GET THE HECK OUT OF HER... before they receive her plagues... for having shared in her sins.

Peace!

Your servant and a slave of Christ,

Shellamar

Maybe crave gives a negative thought? Please correct me if I am wrong as I do not live in an English speaking country.

In this instance, negative, yes, dear ANOMOS (peace to you!)... because of the "Woe" to those so craving, given the "Day" in question: Armageddon. Which indoctrinated JWs DO crave! Good Lordy, few others SO look forward to the demise of their fellowman as these.

Hope that explains!

Peace!

Your servant and a slave of Christ,

Shellamar

Crave and yearn are similar. Crave, to me, at least, is more powerful. However, yearn yields an interesting definition:

"have an intense feeling of longing for something, typically something that one has lost or been separated from."

Hmm.

Shelby, quite correct... you and I are on the same page. I'm amazed at how often I hear in prayers that 'we look forward to the day when all the wicked are destroyed'. I just shake my head. I mean, what? How completely insensitive!
