Good morning to you all and may you have peace...
I have enjoyed reading all the comments shared as to this subject. Particularly some of these:
No sex? I mean, I thought prostitution involved SOME kind of sex (act). (Funny, many wives give sex purely for monetary/material gain. Versus love. Yet, they're not considered prostitutes. Isn't that kind of hypocritical?)
We don't want to BE judged as to ANYTHING ("Who are you/is he to judge ME?!")... but we always tend to find it totally acceptable to judge others... even those we don't know them at all.
Somewhere, we were taught that prostitution is "wrong." Many believe the Bible "says so." But I can't find that anywhere in the Bible, per se. There are temple prostitutes... concubines... my Lord released prostitutes from their heavy consciences... even publicly forgave a woman caught in the act of adultery. In doing so, he suggested to those who brought her forth and would have condemned her to go ahead - let the one WITHOUT sin throw the first stone.
How can WE think we can justify judging anyone when our Lord who is the one who died for us did not judge.
I had been pondering on these things and conversing with our Lord about this. He asked me, " Child, what kind of harlotry or prostitution is the only one that CONCERNED Me and my father"???
I knew right then it was " spiritual harlotry"

Now, I realize this is not the intention of how the thread started, but I wanted to share with you all what our Lord is more concerned with
than the flesh that he reminded me of...
It is prostitution ...in or of our spirit.
When those who profess to be of the body of Christ give their loyalty, devotion, worship to another MAN (through earthly religions) when their ( promised) husband is CHRIST, it is a form of spiritual prostitution or harlotry.
It is
this form of harlotry that concerned our Lord the most and warned us about in these verses:
Rev 17:5
The name written on her forehead was a mystery:
babylon the great the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth.
Rev 18:3
For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries.”
1Co 6:15
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never!
1Co 6:16
Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.”fn
1Co 6:17
But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.
Therefore the command to " Get out of her"... To not be yoked as one flesh with her is so very important because if one does continue joined to her as one flesh, one
will receive her plagues and share her sins.
Rev 18:4
Then I heard another voice from heaven say: “ ‘Come out of her, my people,’ so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;I wanted to share with you all what my Lord has shown me and continues to show me. May you be granted ears and eyes if you choose to want them to hear and see what the spirit who is our Lord and savior Jaheshua MischaJah is saying. And to hear the bride who is the body of CHRIST say, Come....take lifeswater which is Holy Spirit FROM our Lord who dispenses it for
